I love how quick you are with these walk-throughs. Feels like five minutes after a feature comes out, you've worked it out and filmed a demo. I can say my client work is getting better and better because your tutorials have made me more confident with these utilities. Thanks for all you do.
LIFE FRIGGIN SAVER!!!!! oh, how much more i could have done with my life this past month if only i'd have found this video earlier! thank you. You are my hero!!!
I was messing around with ACF and snippets to find alternate ways - and this came out after I was getting irritated by my long-winded methods. This is so easy :)
Hey Thanks for the video! one question, is it possible to create a loop grid with taxonomies created by ACF, from a custom post type. and display them separately in the loop with their custom image?
@@websquadron I'm trying to do that but for some reason I can't make the loop item display the term taxonomy individually 🫠 I mean which widget should I use for it? I Appreciate your help
How can I achieve this with ACF? I have a custom post type that uses categories as taxonomies, but I can’t get the category page to display the posts from the selected category. No matter what I try, neither the base posts archive nor the loop grid can retrieve the posts of the selected category.
I'm having an issue with the loop grid on my CPT archive. Only one of my categories is showing posts, all other categories are blank Even though my template has the loop set to current query. Is your loop grid sourcing the taxonomy on a page or on an archive?
How would you put the x first words of archive description ? We can put archive description but it doesn't seems to be an option to cut the string. I tried with shortcode in the loop but I don't manager to retrieve the term ID. Thanks !
Have you been able to display child taxonomies in the loop grid? If so, how did you do it? The Filter by depth option doesn't appear to function correctly (or I'm not understanding how it works), and when I opened a ticket with Elementor, they confirmed as of now, only parent taxonomies display in the loop grid 🥺
Just found your video. 3.21 is now live. It works great. But, I'm trying to find a way to show ONLY 2nd level taxonomy entries, without the parent or siblings. Is this possible? My application is that I'm showing several loop grids on a page that showcases parents, added by hand, and then that parent's child taxonomies (2nd level for that specific parent) in that group grid. Thank you for the great videos.
@@websquadron I'm looking for the very same thing! It's proving tricky and trying out countless ways to no avail! Did you guys happen to come across anything that points in the right direction? Thanks! :)
When I create loop grid by taxonomy, I don't see looped cards, only when I select template post it shows me all looped posts, maybe someone also faced this problem?
Well it doesn't work that well on posts, I tried to create a loop through custom posts, but when I add a taxonomy filter, when I want to select what should it be filtering I get options for products, not for posts. unfortunate
@@websquadron yeah, the loop grid has template type of 'post taxonomy', in query tab source is selected to taxonomy I want to use and to this point it all works, the loop grid displays exactly what it's supposed to. Then I add taxonomy filter and direct it to that loop grid and when I do, under 'select a taxonomy' I only find product taxonomies. I thought the problem is that this is for custom post type, but I tried the same scenario with regular posts and their categories - same result

It means a lot to read that :)
Elementor is stepping up their game. More dynamic features is always a good thing.
You'll love tomorrow's video that reveals something that even i wondered the 'truthfulness' of it.

Nice video, thanks for sharing! 🙏
Man, you're a savior. I've been struggling way too long with that problem. Thanks a lot!
I did this on a client site, but wrote PHP code to achieve this! Now I can bin my code. Brilliant video, thank you!

Oh brilliant. Waited so long for this. Hopefully they’ll take it out of beta quickly. Thanks so much for the video :-)
I reckon in 10 more days we'll get it.
@@websquadron Is it still in beta?
Can't wait to have it implemented out of beta. Been waiting for ages
Thanks for the quiclky and certein expliaction it help me too much!
Thanks Imran!

Yes you can :)
Will need to be tested out but it all sounds fine.

Is your loop grid sourcing the taxonomy on a page or on an archive?
Has anyone been able to figure out how to get the custom post type taxonomy to display? The image is not showing whenever I set this up

Still cannot use in Custom Post type taxonomies
Damn just today I coded it myself using a shortcode.. better late than never.
This new feature stopped me from doing a long-winded video too that was using ACF etc. So much more efficient now :)
@@websquadron hey Imran, do you mind sharing it anyway?

Sir, how can we get the Product count of each category?
Category image returning the current category image where i have used the loop

Child Tax can be a problem as they sometimes show more than it needs to. Not done an in-depth check of this, but I will have a think.
@@websquadron if you figure it out, please share a vid! 🙏
Any option or a dynamic tag to add the count of posts or products for each category or products category?
Let me check.

That is proving tricky and I'm still trying to find a way to do that too. Having all Parent and Child displayed together doesn't look great yet.
