  • Describing the construction of my C/G adjustment and yes I said I didn't want to build one....
The next video will be the legs and flipping the car over. Well at least that's the plan as I haven't built it yet....

Thanks. It's all about simple and minimal materials/cost. I really wanted to do an extendable one with nested tubes instead of the moving nut but I didn't have the right size tubing that would nest well together without allot of slop. Looks really cool when done that way though.

Legs episode out tomorrow and I am doing an overall video showing it in action and a short explanation of what I did and somewhat why I did it that way. Works great though. Sadly the last two days have been 85* and I haven't been able to work on the car while it's nice. High of 42* tomorrow...

That’s how I build stuff! Look to see what I can find, ask myself if it will work, then look to find another just like it, or close. Or not.

Yup. I just couldn't justify the cost of a rotisserie and you can do allot with what you have lying around but few people think that way anymore. But I think that will change as things get more expensive.

@@theinfernalcraftsman We have Menards in the Midwest, along with Lowes & Home Depot. According to the nut & bolt section, I have $20k in product. Metal coffee cans painted white, Orange masking tape & description on a wall of shelving. I have $40k in new GM/ACDelco parts stacked in short side of 1 1/2 car garage. I have a second driveway off Main Street as we live on a Circle, room for a garage which I could build. The city uses satellite imagery once per year to look for new construction! Talk about big brother watching. They want 2” extruded polystyrene insulation on outside of 48” foundation and under floor, even if no heat or air is planned. A 24’ X 28’ foundation with concrete is $28k just to ground level. More than first house! Be great full of you shop, it is 3 times bigger than mine and I got 4 tool boxes plus MIG, Torch, 2 sewing machines, Sandblast cabinet, 20 ton press. It is something I owned that came home after retirement. Never thought of it.
I taught for UTI, the original in downtown Omaha before sold, but last 7yrs on contract for ACDelco. I covered 7 states w / technical Seminars, 2 day classes at 13 community colleges then 5 warehouses to handle defects! Tore a rotator cuff in Dubuque and drove 5hrs to home, had surgery then got call from Raytheon boss who dissolved the job! Dr. pulled plug on career. Then I found out SSD takes your personal injury settlement. Screwed coming & going. If that happens to a family member, get settlement first, then SSD if applicable. Take care.
The stories I can tell you working on the first EFI cars (1976, only two) not mechanical, not CIS on Volvo’s, Mercedes, Saab and Porsche! Have a good one and very creative on rotisserie. Anywhere (If Yours) put seam sealer over everything on bottom but use Raptor black underneath. You won’t regret it! Reach out anytime!

@@deankay4434 That stinks. Yeah I know I complain about the size of my shop but it's far bigger than most have. Went through allot of seam sealer and have more on order. The car companies must get it really cheap with as much as they put on...
