SoundBridge DAW Tutorial For Beginners (FREE DAW)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 21 окт 2024
- This SoundBridge DAW tutorial for beginners will teach you how to use this software. This is one of the best free DAWs and for good a reason. Although this is a walkthrough, it can be a good SoundBridge review too. This software was previously called Lumit and comes with stock VST plugin effects and a beginner-friendly user interface.
The DAW: soundbridge.io/
The Blog: soundbridge.io...
Interview with Founder/CEO of SoundBridge: transverseaudi...
IMPORTANT!
To use your plugins, the DAW needs to be installed with the same bit version. ex: if you have 32-bit plugins, install the 32-bit DAW.
To have the plugins show up, go to preferences on the transport bar and under VST, navigate to and set the folder that holds your plugins. After that go to the plugin picker and press full rescan/find new. You should now be able to find your plugins under VST2 & VST3.

God is great! It may be hard to believe when you don't, I came from the same place. It took me a while to understand and accept God. But when I did, it changed my life more than I could have imagined and I hope yours will be changed too.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate your comments and support!
Hey, I hope you enjoy, thanks for watching! The music you hear in the background during the middle of the video was actually all made in the DAW and exclusively with FREE plugins and samples. Let me know what you thought about this tutorial!
Please look in the description of this video for getting your VST's set up with this DAW. Sorry for not including this in the video!
Is it work for Windows 7?
Yes, it should work fine.
@Kowhai Hey, it comes with effect plugins but you'll have to get your own virtual instruments. I made a playlist here with some of the best free ones: ruclips.net/p/PL6faDNDX-aTJ5wENxQzyi_nvyqSDGVHF_
@`TransverseAudio dude suppose you have two return tracks one with delay and second with reverb, you passed a track signal in to one now you find that there is la k of reverb so you will pass that return track signal to second return track, so your track will have both effects, it's crazy but saves hell lot of cpu.
@@mrarul1694 Thanks, I think I got a grasp of the similarities of return tracks and mix buses now. I guess it's just another name for it?
In my opinion, when doing these tutorials, people should start with very simple and basic examples showing basic functions and then get into details, maybe with additional videos. Otherwise it may become dispersive and unclear.
Thanks for understanding.
Hey Georg, thank you for the feedback! You make a good point, it would be much easier to understand a basic concept first before moving on. And you're right, I did kind of go through this kind of robotically and didn't really give a practical approach to my tutorial.
@@TransverseAudioThank you for your kind answer and also for understanding!
@@TransverseAudio I thank you for your kind feedback! :-)
Like me,just now. ...I heard this is one of the more basic programs, a starter prohtam so to speak …. Just got disappointed with all the info & gonna look elsewhere for something more simple. I just need to LINE IN my music & have a program that will record it as its being Lined in.
I'm sorry, but this was too much info and too fast talking. After one minute I was gone
Iv been using Cakewalk for a few months now. I'm still relatively new to beat making but I have a lot of experience with video editing so it wasn't too hard for me to pick up or understand (all self taught from RUclips). Saying that I had to watch a LOT of different videos/tutorials just to understand the basics of the program, but after 8 and a half minutes I already feel confident with this new DAW. This is one of the best and most informative tutorial I've ever watched. You explained everything perfectly. Thank you my man. You are now the first person in my many years on RUclips who I will be subscribing to after watching just one video.
Great work!
It means a lot to me knowing that I provided that much value to you. Thank you for the comment and for the support! I have a tutorial like this one for Cakewalk too.
It's school holidays, and I decided I'm gonna teach my kids music production in a DAW (age 16, 14, 8). I already started them on Tracktion 7 because it was free, but after watching this video, I am going to pivot to Soundbridge. It's the perfect learning tool. The zooming controls in T7 really annoyed the crapola out of me LOL. Soundbridge looks great. This is a great intro. I feel like I am good to go to make music right now.
That's great! I'm glad you find my video helpful. You might enjoy some of my other videos where I go over some free instruments/plugins too! There's also some tutorials on my channel for making genres of music you might hear in video games and on mixing/mastering too if that might help. I hope you enjoy!

I had to pause this tutorial a million times to keep up. SLOW DOWN, MAN!
As someone who knows technical terms, this is really a crash course to kick start with this daw. Appreciate it man!
Nice, I'm glad it helped you. I did make it for people with some basic knowledge of what things were in a DAW.
Honestly I’ve never used anything like this. My teacher just sent me a link and was like, “Have fun!” Thank you for the video it helped
Interesting, what kind of class/school do you go to for music production? You're welcome btw!
DUDE! HOW HAVE I NOT HEARD OF THIS DAW BEFORE!?! Im used to using Logic Pro X at StudioNPL sessions (@ my library), but I want to make my own home studio one a VERY tight budget. This daw is amazing! Theres not much buzz but it's soo powerful. Im still a lil suspicious that there might be a catch somewhere but for now, it looks good-thanks for the vid! Also, your channel is AMAZING! I can tell that u put a lot of effort into your vids and you deserve way more subscribers! :D
Hey, thanks! This means a lot to me that you took the time to say this, it's such kindness. I'm happy that I could help you with the video. I think you might want to check out Cakewalk by Bandlab in addition to SoundBridge. It's a free DAW that used to cost money when it was called Sonar. Thanks for subscribing, I hope to make more videos that can help you in the future!
Here's Cakewalk: cakewalk.bandlab.com/
I got halfway through this video before realizing that nothing works, the audio won't play and I cant put in my own audio. this video was anything but helpful and I find it has been nothing but a waste of my time
Not his fault. It clearly worked when he made the tutorial the daw is just probably outdated now.
this is so confusing man how do u just record your singing onto the track thats all i want to know
Hey, thanks for this! This video is very helpful, educational, and informative! I look forward to seeing more of your videos! You just earned a new subscriber! :)
Thank you very much! I'm glad I provided you with enough value go earn that.
If I have a delay return, and a reverb return, I like sending some of my delays directly to reverb. Then on the original track, I don't need to send any of it to verb, I just send some of it to delay and reverb is taken care of. I don't always do this, but it does answer the question you asked in the video 6:10.
Cool thanks for mentioning this! So I guess it's kind of like a mix bus in a way?
I don't understand how to have the Plugins "VST 2" or "VST 3", I have the french description (I speak french but I don't understand how to have the plugins). Like, I go to preferences and VST but I don't have any file with plugins ? Can you help me plz ?
I hope i'm not too dumb or old to do this but ima give it a try. Thank you for the instructional video.
You're welcome!
do you have to download instrument plung-ins ?
Hi! Thanks for the video! I would like to know if this DAW already comes with some plugin or I have to download by myself?
You’re welcome! It comes with effects but no virtual instruments or synths. You can find some really good ones in my playlist for free software.

Thanks for the video. I've been looking for a DAW to use as a beginner and having downloaded SoundBridge and had a play around with the example project it seems pretty straight forward to use, the help section in particular is very nice.
I'm glad I could help! Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed.
I have a very serious question. Is there any difference in sound quality for different types of daws? And does installing an audio interface really improve the sound quality or it's just some myths? And does this daw produce same sound quality like those of ableton and fl studio?
As I'm no expert in this, I can only give you what I know. I think it really is the same across all DAWs for sound quality output, it just depends on what your settings are. Using a sample rate of 96kHz and a 24-bit rate will be higher quality than 44.1kHz and 16-bit. As far as an audio interface, I really don't think it affects the output as a file, rather it may benefit what YOU hear from your speakers or headphones. Some headphones & monitors (speakers) have a high resistance (ohms) and require an amp to hear their full potential. It depends though, XLR mics are said to have higher quality than USB mics.
@@TransverseAudio thank you so much. That really cleared my doubts.
I should add that using an Audio interface will increase the quality of live recordings from a microphone or instrument due to the pre-amp (if it has one). You should look into how resistance affects audio quality - That will explain a lot about what you're asking!
Theirs zero quality difference as far as software because all daws use 32bit float technology algorithms giving you good quality sound. Just depends on which daw work flow suits your needs.
@@SpyderBlackOfficial Well, that's not necessarily true. Depending on the DAW, it might be set to 16 or 24 bit by default. But, I'm pretty sure the quality would be the same across any DAW as long as you're using the same bit depth and sample rate.
How do i open the MIDI keyboard
This is really cool. Do you think people could make good edm using this?
Yes, I believe so. Check out the demo song that comes with it, it's pretty good.
@@TransverseAudio ok :D
how do we get the piano?
Hello! Do you know how to link together multiple midi clips in the playlist? I have a project, where I have a bunch of midi clips playing exactly the same notes, they are not connected, but individual clips, how do I link them together so that when I make a change in one of them, all of them apply that change? This is the default in FL Studio and Tracktion Waveform, and also every other DAW I have ever used, but I can't seem to find how to link tracks together in SoundBridge, if this is not actually a thing, then how are you supposed to make changes to a repeating Bass pattern or melody in a finished track? Edit every single midi clip individually? That'll take hours and will most likely lead to accidental mistakes and misalignments along the way.
If there is ANY WAY to avoid that, please tell me.
To clarify I am not talking about the merge option, I am talking about entangled clips where changing midi in one changes the midi in all the others.
Okay, so I think you mean every repeated pattern in the playlist in one track over time. I'm really surprised it's not like that. One way I'm thinking of is the repeat option where you can make it repeat by dragging it from the right of the pattern. I think you need to enable this in the MIDI editor or perhaps the track itself. Let me know if that manages to work or not.
@@TransverseAudio No that's looping.
I don't want the clip to loop, I want to be able to copy a clip a bunch of times, place those copies anywhere in the playlist and only have to change one of them to make them all change.
Sure you can use looping to achieve something ... comparable-ish, but the second there's a gap where this midi clip doesn't exit, for a break or something, this falls apart.
Oh, okay. I see what you mean. I actually don't know of any way around that.
Unfortunately I think you're right, there seems to be no way to do this. Doesn't make it impossible to use, just way more tedious and thus falls out of my recommendations until this issue is fixed, along with the problem that you cannot resize playlist opr piano roll vertically, or am I overlooking something?
Best DAW in the fricken WORLD!
Good to know you enjoy it!
Hello it's not showing the instrumentals
Hello friend... I would definitely be a beginner. I am looking at purchasing IK Multimedia Amplitube 4.. Would this plugin work with Soundbridge… Thanks for your help in advance...
Hey, I can't say for sure but I do know it only works on 64-bit systems so you will need the 64-bit version of SoundBridge. I couldn't find anything about what plugin format it is but it should be able to run. If it has a demo, maybe try that if its compatibility is a deal breaker.
how do i press notes on the synth by pressing "asdfghk" just like in fl studio? because in soundbridge i can't i need to use my mouse to do it. Is there a way to do this on a keypad?
Unfortunately no, you will need a MIDI keyboard to play them and the mouse is the only way to draw in the notes in the piano roll.
can someone help me? it won't let me click the sequencer or mixer tab, and i can't get ritmix to open with soundbrige, idk wtf i'm supposed to do
I have no clue either. Thats strange how you cant select the mixer tab. Did you install ritmix as well as SoundBridge?
Can you please help i can't hear the sound with my blutooth headset, the sound just comes from the laptop in soundbridge.
To be honest its not hard to understand this DAW because im experienced using two DAW. But no sh*t this software blows my mind because this is free and had awesome plugins, its UI is almost like Ableton which i never really use. Im really thankful because im using only a DEMO version of FL Studio for a year. Thanks for showing me this.
I know im sound like im very very poor, its becauae im just a kid that love E music and MUSIC PRODUCTION.
Hey again, I'm glad you like this DAW as well. It really is some good software to use and great that it's free. Don't feel bad about using the demo of a DAW, most people resort to pirating it before they buy it. There is no shame in following your dreams with free software!
Very much appreciated thank you very much again😊😊
Sending a return track to another return track is a great and simple way to use parallel compression or "New York" compression as some people call it. :-)
Thanks for clearing this up! I wasn't sure if it meant something different than a mix bus.
Hey bro I found your channel today as I want to get into making beats and songs and your free daw video really helped me you earned a sub and my respect 💪👍
Hey Sam, thank you for the compliment. I'm glad I could help you get closer to achieving that, don't give up!
Transverse Audio thanks man! hey my soundbrdidge is a bit laggy when I play through examples and reason why?
Do you have a lot of things running in the background, I think it would have to do with your RAM. If you close out of things running in the background, internet browsers, etc. you should have a higher speed. You can also turn down the sample rate to 44.1kHz which should make a difference if it was higher. Go to Preferences > Audio and it should be around the middle of the window. I hope this helps!
Transverse Audio bro thanks for all your help and the vst's wont show up either, sorry for bothering you
Go to preferences, you should be able to set the folder that all your VST's are in. Even if they don't show up, set the folder as the directory and go back to do a full rescan/find new. Again, I'm happy to help so feel free to ask more questions if you need.
So I have EzDrummer 2. I have everything set up with my E-kit (Roland TD11) pluged thru via USB. Do I record thru the Toontrack EzDrummer and just drag and drop the midi it creates into the DAW?
Do you need to use EzDrummer for the sounds or something? I'm not really familiar with EzDrummer.
You can either record the audio directly to an audio track, possibly load EzDrummer as a plugin in an instrument/MIDI track, or import the audio/MIDI after if you need to use EzDrummer.
@@TransverseAudio Ezdrummer 2 is a drum software. Some DAW, for example, Studio One, opens Ezdrummer 2 when you drag the plugin into the track so you can record drums with it. I haven't done any recording using Soundbridge yet, so I'll see what happens when I have the time to do so.
Okay, it is probably the same process as Studio One.
So, I created a track using the EZDrummer 2 plugin and there's no sound coming out. I'm using ASIO as my soundcard or w/e. When I press play, it shows the volume bar playing along with the midi track but like I said before, no sound.
Try changing the audio driver option until i works. If not, download the FL Studio demo to get the AISO4ALL driver and delete FL demo once you have the driver if you don't want to use that DAW.
Where did you get the instruments? I don't have any instruments, and I would like to know, considering I've used quotes and tried narrowing my google searches but I come up empty-handed. Do you get them off a website? How do I get them? If they're installed along with the program, how do I access them? I'm so confused and I can't find an answer to my questions other than how to attach an instrument to a track.
Hey, SoundBridge doesn't come with any instruments but you can get a bunch for free from my free resources playlist. Check out my channel and click on playlists, most of the videos in it have yellow text in the thumbnail. Once you download them, install them (or move them) to this folder path (C: > Program Files > VSTplugins) - you can make the folder if it's not there already. Then, make sure the DAW is looking there in the settings menu, under the directories section. Let me know if that helps and if you have any more questions.
@@TransverseAudio Also, when I use the drawing tool, it doesn't play any sound.
It may be an option in the piano roll settings.
I write and record hard rock and heavy metal with mic'd guitars and use Hydrogen drums, will this DAW be good enough for me?
Good enough, sure. You should take a look at other DAWs like LMMS or Cakewalk by Bandlab too though.
@@TransverseAudio thanks man. Downloading now. I just need something that has a robust EQ and non destructive editing. But hey, Audacity will always have a special place in my heart.
Hey, this is kinda of a stupid question because it might be right in my face and i'm just too stupid to see it but how do you save a project as a audio file format such as wav or flac? The only option I see is save as project. This is my first time ever using a daw so it might be right in my face and I just don't see it because im tired or whatever but if you could help me it out it would be rather helpful. Thanks!
Hey Willie, thanks for watching! First, set the loop points to include everything you want to turn into an audio file. Next, on the transport bar under the File menu, select "Export loop". That should solve your problem and don't worry, your question wasn't stupid at all. There are a lot of things to learn about in music production!
Thank you very much that saves a lot of frustration! And no problem your videos helped me a lot so far and I really appreciate it!
I'm glad it worked out, I'm happy to help!
The only way that question would have been stupid would be if you didn't ask it. This stuff is complex at first. I still ask questions too. Lol
Hey, maybe I am just terrible stupid. But is there any way to move the recording freely outside of the grid? I played around with the settings and now my recording is off beat and I can’t seem to fix it. I am past the point of redoing 😅😭
I've been playing around with this daw for a bit now. Do you how to copy and paste specific notes from one track to another?
Hey again! There are many more universal hotkeys like this, but here are some that apply to what you want to know.
CTR+X = Cut
CTR+C = Copy
CTR+V = Paste
Thanks for asking, I hope these are what you're looking for and that they help.
I can’t find any instruments... how can I download instruments for this DAW? Is there a video explaining how to download instruments? I need help...
You will need to move the instruments folder into the same place as the .dll file.

`Transverse Audio Thank you!
so this is a free daw but with no pre-installed sounds or instruments, is that right? I see it has FX but unless you have plug ins from other DAWs you won't be able to start making music right away? Where and how would you get these instruments and keep the DAW free? Thank you.
You're right, it only comes with free effects and no instruments/synths. You can find a bunch of free ones in a playlist I made here: ruclips.net/p/PL6faDNDX-aTJ5wENxQzyi_nvyqSDGVHF_ all the links are in the description of each video.
But what about that lower rack for the blocks (Idk what its called)
I cant figure out how to make that show up.
It's typically called a piano roll but I guess would technically be a MIDI sequencer. On the toolbar to the right there are options for displaying the different windows.
@@TransverseAudio Thanks
does this program have the following:
Velocity Shift Overtime
Pitch bending overtime
Reverb Support
Any of these could be really Helpful.
Also, Keep in mind, If it requires a Sign in, It immediately loses me.
It supports automation clips so pitch can likely be automated and possibly velocity. It has a stock reverb and supports third-party ones. You need to sign up to download and launch (at least for the first time, I think you can download an offline key).
So you can get instrumentals off RUclips, convert them to your files and drag and drop the instrumental in a track and record bars to it? Basically record audio to beats and change effects?
While you probably couldn't change much on the instrumental, you could with the lyrics. And yeah, you can definitely drag it into the DAW and record bars. However, it's not as simple as "get instrumentals off RUclips". This would be illegal (unless they made it for you to use for free) and would prevent you from selling or even letting people listen to your song for free. So, this is more practical to get practice, analyse, and improve yourself.
Does this take a lot of storage and does it take a lot of space when u are making music.Btw I am just starting and I want to learn how to make music
Hey Stjepan, it's good to hear you're getting into making music! The amount of space can vary based on the complexity/length of each project. For the most part, it shouldn't take too much space. For SoundBridge, it shouldn't take more than 1GB of space (for me it's around 600MB).
Transverse Audio okay thank you so much. Keep up the good work :)
could you please make video or write a description on how to set up VST on soundbridge? The blog linked in the description has nothing on how to do this. It seems like they have taken down their VST blogs for some reason

Yes, I have trying SoundBridge on my computer and this daw needs more cpu than other daw's.
Interesting.
Do you know where on windows 10 the Soundbridge Plugins VSTs are located?
Yeah, they should be in C: drive > Program Files & Program Files(x86) > vstplugins. However, this is where you would put them, the DAW doesn't come with virtual instruments. If you are looking for the effect plugins that come with the DAW then I would look for them in the SoundBridge folder.

With SoundBridge you can save and reopen projects on your computer.

Hey man, great tutorial. Just wanted to know how to automate vat plugin parameters. Please let me know as I am struggling with it. Other things that you have told in the video have made it very familiar to me. Thank you.

We can't use sample on piano roll in sound bridge right???
Correct. You can only modify samples on the audio tab.
I heard that soundbridge have a reputation for crushing. Is it true?
When I click on the draw button and try making a block in the sequencer nothing happens

Do you have an instrument/MIDI track? I think you need one to draw the block in but it could work for audio tracks too, I'm not sure. Also, are you trying to draw it inside the loop points or outside? - That may have something to do with it.
As for DAWs for Mac that are free, check out Waveform Free.

Thanks for the tutorial. Quick and to the point. Good to get an idea of what this program is.
Now my question: HOW IS THIS FREE? How do they make profit? Sounds too good to be true
They have online courses that they charge for. Thank you as well, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Hi brother, how to transpose project or tracks ?? Please help
Hey! What do you mean by transpose? Import? Export? Change the pitch of the entire project?
@@TransverseAudio change the pitch of the entire project
Hmm, I don't think there is a master pitch option in this DAW so you could probably export the project and bring it back into the DAW as an audio file and raise the pitch in the audio control tab (to the left of the window).
@@TransverseAudio ok, thank you brother
I’ve tried to download SoundBridge and the website won’t let me download it. Whenever I click “Download” nothing happens. Any possible solutions?
Odd, it doesn't seem to state anywhere how to setup the start/end points for a loop (for either a measure, or a group of measures) -- unless I missed something somewhere.
Hey, I mentioned it at 6:50 for samples. This can also be used in the sequencer to define loop points of the track as well. I hope this helps, let me know how it goes!
Looks Awesome!!!
Yeah, it's a pretty cool free DAW! I hope you enjoy it.
Hey bro! Where can I download a piano roll plugin for this??? :)
If you mean a synthesizer or Virtual Instrument, check this playlist out: ruclips.net/p/PL6faDNDX-aTJ5wENxQzyi_nvyqSDGVHF_
Make sure to download the same bit version as the version of SoundBridge you have (e.g. 32-bit or 64-bit).
@@TransverseAudio The built in midi editor dont have proper monitor options
Hey i might be a few years to late but I cant seem to find my plugins and when I try to click "find new" nothing comes up how can I fix that?
Try moving the plugins to the default search location set in the settings menu.
@@TransverseAudio Its alright i got it working thanks though
Lovely DAW
Yeah, it's really good! I hope you enjoy it.
Can't get my midi device to connect with this DAW. Such an obvious first step necessary to get anything out of this software, yet they make it complicated and difficult. Same goes for the VST plugins. I reckon this is easy to use once you get going, but I give up.
Hey, don't give up! Have you gone into your preferences and set up the MIDI device?
how did you bring up the piano? and how did you place the audios
I can't find the plugins :(
I already clicked on full rescan and find new and neither worked.
I never used another DAW before so... help?
There will only be effect plugins in the DAW by default. The ones I have are downloaded outside of the DAW, known as third-party plugins. There are free and paid ones out there but you can find a lot of good ones here: ruclips.net/p/PL6faDNDX-aTJ5wENxQzyi_nvyqSDGVHF_ Put them all into the same folder (for example C: > Program Files (x86) > vstPlugins)
@@TransverseAudio Thank you! I'll try that!
I have never used any daw before and i want to learn from the beginning any tips?
The first thing you will want to learn about is the piano roll and arrangement/sequencer window. Use the volume faders/sliders in the mixing console for mixing and don't worry about mixing and mastering beyond that until you have made a handful of songs so you understand the process. Don't worry about learning music theory just yet, just use a scale from this resource I made to write music in: transverseaudio.com/piano-major-scales
Either use Major or Minor scales, don't worry about pentatonic ones unless you are really interested in music theory.
What genres are you interested in making?
Do you plan on recording live instruments/vocals?
@@TransverseAudio i really appreciate it
but i know ntg about these things like sliders and other stuff
i m using soundtrap for now to get a greater understanding.
but the link u sent is really handy thank you.
i m interested in instruments
but i have 0 knowledge on it
I started music production not knowing how to play any instrument other than basic drum beats. Check out my videos with yellow thumbnails, they are all about free software you can use. Although, the virtual instruments won't work with online DAWs.
When I tried to find new plugins, I clicked the button "FIND NEW", but there didnt show up any new plugins, what should I do now?
Hey thanks for asking. Read the bonus section in the description, that might help. If it doesn't (or does) let me know!
press P and then on vst and then add directory. Then click on the folder where your vst is and click choose then click find new and it will add it
Can you please make a tutorial about Tracktion T7?
I am going to make one for the next version.
hey i dont know if you'll see this but i hope somone who can help does. Basically downloaded the DAW, and was using Hybrid with my AKAI MPK2 mini 64bit and everything was fine. Next day i try to use it and soundbridge doesnt detect hybrid. all my other plugins are there but not hybrid. It for some reason is in the VST 3 folder not the VST 2 folder. Can anyone help me with this?
Hey, sorry for the really late reply. Have you figured this out yet?
can I know how to export the music file to an mp3 ??
pls answer
I downloaded it and where is the keyboard that you use in the video?
I think you are talking about the piano roll. When you select a MIDI pattern you can access it in the bottom window, watch the part when I go over the transport bar if you don't know how to open it. Let me know how it goes.
yo bro how do u add a beat that I downloaded off the internet as an mp3 file
I got a question. Any idea how to control pitch in BitSpeek through midi? Or automate any VST effect for that matter?
Getting fairly annoyed by the lack of in-depth tutorials of this program. Not that it's your fault of course.
Hey JarAxe, thanks for asking! Unfortunately, there is no support that I'm aware of for automation for external plugins. This DAW does lack some important features. As for the level of depth, it was really just for beginners/adepts with SoundBridge.
However, if you go to the edit window (the one with the mini mixer, MIDI, and sample editor) and click on "map", you might be able to assign MIDI controls like a mod wheel by using the "learn" function with the specific mixer track you want to control.
I hope this helps, thanks for watching.
Well, that sucks. Thanks though.
Happy to help. If you really need a free DAW that can handle automation, you might want to take a look at Cakewalk by Bandlab, it might have what you're looking for. I've never used it before but it used to be a major paid DAW that was acquired and made free.
I know how u can automate stuff! When you load in a plugin, click the "read" button. That way, any parameters that you move manually with your mouse will automatically be automated. Move the square thingy above the read button to see what I mean. I think from there you right click the square thingy to create an automation. Try it out!
Wow, this is actually mind-blowing! I thought I tried this but maybe I didn't do it in the right order? Thank you so much for pointing this out, Stephen!
Seriously, I can help more people now thanks to you!
hi i guess my previous question can do for now, but i have another one. Even though i have some vst plugins already, i cannot hear the preview audio like for example, i press a piano key, and even though the volume meter is going up, i still cannot hear anything.
Hmm, go to preferences and check out where your audio playback is going to. Change it around until you hear something I guess, it might be different for you since you have different devices. Another thing to check is the drivers.
@@TransverseAudio alrighty tnx
Please help am I able to use my beats to record vocals it has a mic on It
I would imagine you can but I don't know for sure. Something is telling me no but you can Google for "can you use the mic on headphones for recording on a pc".
`Transverse Audio thank u
The best part about SoundBridge is the drum machine/sequencer RitMix they got which can be used in other daws.
Hey Vincent, thanks for pointing this out, I should really take some time to look into it. I didn't even mention RitMix in the video and it could probably use its own video. Thanks for watching!
Merci d'avance :)
Quick question, can you record MIDI for Soundbridge?
Yes, I'm pretty sure you can. Thanks for asking!
@@TransverseAudio THANK YOU! An no problem :D
what if you don't know how to play any instruments? how will you make music?
I started only knowing how to play very basic drums as I played around on them sometimes when I was younger. Other than that I have no previous background in music. After years of making music with my computer keyboard as a piano and my mouse to draw in notes, I learned more and more about playing piano. - however, I'm still not good at all and can only freestyle for the most part.
I wished the PRV was as functional as cakewalk's PRV.
How do i create a keyboard shortcut to expand the PRV to full screen.
I was looking through the shortcuts menu under Preferences but I couldn't find anything for that, what exactly do you mean by PRV?
@@TransverseAudio piano roll view.
@@hgaubaul Ah, obvious now. I would just drag it up to it's full height and use the shortcut to open and close it whenever you need it. Can't recall what it is but you just need to hover over the button and it will tell you on the left of the transport bar.
does this daw have any simple native plugins like eq, comp, pitching, etc ??
It does but they're only effect plugins.
Subscribed!. Thanks for the video, it's an amazing DAW!!!! 😲😲😲😲😲😲
But I have a little doubt, it is possible to use the computer keyboard as MIDI keyboard? 🤔🤔🤔
Yeah, I know, it's kind ridiculous not to have MIDI kb on these days............😑😑😑
Hey, thank you! The DAW doesn't support computer keyboard to MIDI, unfortunately. It's not ridiculous at all actually, I think MIDI keyboards just make it easier for some things and definitely not a requirement.
Ohh :( It's a shame, if It had that option, it would surely be my main DAW.
Even so I will use it, I love the workflow, it reminds me a little to fl studio in several aspects
I really hope they ae this feature in the future cuz i love this program.
>.< fingers crossed
Thanks for your answer mate!! :)
I'm happy to help. It does have a wonderful UI and workflow, so simple!
