PARTY produced, wrote, engineered and recorded the entire thing in his own bedroom at the age of 18
@@LiamTorres-Shaw youre an idiot. Hes not 30. There are pictures of him as jahron b online, a couple years before drake signed him

To touch on what you said about the album feeling inconsistent; the immaturity is what makes this album what it is in my opinion. He produced most of this album by himself as a 19 year old kid. He made Wus Gud/Curious in his mom's house and it blew up on soundcloud. The album has a feeling of cohesiveness while feeling all over the place at the same time which I think is cool.
Also, his production style is SO weird. He mostly samples electronic music, transforms it into a weird sounding R&B trap beat, then sings over it somehow.
This about his production. Electronica, rnb and trap is a wild combination. He perfected it by P2. You couldn't throw anyone on a PARTYNEXTDOOR beat it wouldn't work.
Definitely agree! I would argue this is some of his best work, It definitely grows on you, the inconsistency in sound within the tape is what keeps it so fresh years later. I probably have listened to this project more than almost any other the past 5 years. CLASSIC TORONTO MIXTAPE!
This. You. Win. I love this album so much.
I think the album is perfect I’m confused how it’s all over the place ?
You're on point, and I love his production style. I think this is a pretty cohesive project too lmao
Right Now is one of my favourite tracks of all time I’ve probably listened to it 50,000 times and I’m still not sick of it 😂
That's my first pnd song that iwas introduced to from then I continued
I literally listened to pnd 1 like so much times I couldn’t keep track especially right now that song is a beaut
Same wtff I thought I was the only one😭
IM IN A ROOOM FULL OF DAAAAANCERS ALL OF US CANCEEEEEERS
@@mementomori7888 ONE CLEARS THE CASH WHILE THE OTHER ONE DANCES OOUUUUUUU
Party’s music has me reminiscing. 2012-2016 was crazy
u perfectly described the vibes bru
Just blanks past Break From Toronto like it’s nothing. WTF? It’s iconic. 🤷🏻♂️
James Hazell still one of my most played songs ever. Will never get tired of that masterpiece.
omg this is actual blasphemy
His best song fr
James Hazell I’m honestly baffled
Currently in Mississauga watching this
PND1 is a classic..you definitely didn't give Break From Toronto enough time or the Curious part of Wus Good..no reaction to either!
The best songs in the album with right now
Absolute classic
Jon let me tell you something ..... he was ONLY 19 !!!!!!!!! This is why party fans are so passionate because he created this sound as a teenager and changed the genre but still doesn't get the proper recognition !!!!!
Myles Diaz FAXXXXXX
Myles Diaz he really was an unspoken Godfarther for the modern RnB landscape
Kunmi Oriade he will go down as a legend honestly. P1 and P2 both classics no skips all hits crazy
STXVIX P1 and P2 definitely are classics but I don’t think he’s old work is respected enough by the masses for a legendary status
Kunmi Oriade true. when its all said and done i think he will give it time...
we need a roy woods - waking at dawn reaction asap
Roy Woods -EXIS EP is a true classic tho it’s insane! But waking at dawn is a great album too!
such a good album
Waking at Dawn is one of the greatest RnB albums
@@MannyyTolentino EXIS is insane, Jon would love it
Fr
One of my favourite albums of all time. A MASSIVE grower over the years. You’ll start to love every layer of the songs
Regardless on how much you liked this Jon appreciate you releasing it on RUclips as well as Patreon! Much love
YESSS! I remember when this just dropped on the OVO blog on 2013. The feels.
where’s the timestamps person AT
7:06 is what we all came for tbh
Goosebumps
Yes and for wus good/curios
Tbh??lol
Beats By Trilla tbh is in my top 2 probably my favourite song of partys just wish he had this vibe again album was such a disappointment
Luke XOTWOD fax bro but I love some songs on partymobile tho
Break From Toroto & Wud Gud/Curious are instant classics
Persian Rugs and West Direct reaction are a must
he might as well react to partypack
PND SEASON?!
this is a classic album
Please do JMSN he's underrated and JT's 20/20 experience
Alekhya Das nsync>jt
@@Iamnasxx not for me. justified, future sex love sound and 20/20 exp are amazing (sply FSLS and 20/20) and i rate them a lot higher than nsync albums.
Alekhya Das they are great albums but nsyncs harmonies untouched and then literally a king of vocals jc chasez!..No strings attached, celebrity and even their self titled album are better often rated higher and sold way more Nsync is one of 22 artists with 2 diamond albums jt doesn’t have one but I definitely respect your opinion tho my friend👏🏽
FutureSex/Lovesounds is the goat JT album
Not gonna lie, JT has great singles but I just re listened to 20/20 and it’s kinda trash
Bro party fans really are the hardest in the game... he’s still only 26 and released this when he was only 19 Jon... also his next project after this one is easily his best.. PND2
I jumped as I saw this! PND TWO please 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Finally, I've been waiting for this
Right Now is probably his most underrated song , only cause I think it’s in his top 5
Right now is praised what do you mean ?
i feel like it's more of a hype song it features less of r&b components so not much for me
ONG
I'm so jealous you got to listen to this for the first time... One of my faves of all time
Yessss finally man like DENTON
Break from Toronto will grow on you.
Thanks for your hard work Jon.
We need that PND 2 reaction!!
My favorite artist! Love this album and his production.
Was almost scared to check the reaction but of course you recognized it.
At the time this album really took me as a music fan especially since there were some obscure artists I was listening to and he sampled them even after I thought their production was unique in a aay that should be meshed for this style.
One of my favorite albums, glad you enjoyed it too ! Partyomo baby !
Im in love of your reviews
Stellar work as per, sir 👊🏼💥
He made almost all these beats too he really is talented
You know i slept on this album, thank you again for remembering about another masterpiece bro
Can't believe this is already almost 10 years old. This album is timeless to me
Yesssssssssssss u legend... was just about to smoke as well lol but yh man cant wait for the next 2 reviews 🤘🏾

love to see reactin to pnd! love his stuff
pnd2 definitely feels more cohesive and has a more grand listening experience. i know for sure you’ll like that one
Finalllllllllllyy bro i love ur channel
What I'd advise everyone to do when you hear something new that's never been done before. Stop having expectations or wanting to compare it to the current sound and just enjoy it. That's how you find something special which is called a new experience. This album was a time to be alive and if you knew, then you knew.
YO! Don't change this format homie this shit harrrrddddd. I love the name at the bottom. The reflection in the track itself.
For those looking to save time:

BEEN WAITING ON THAT ALBUM
React to the Late Nights album by Jeremih, such an underrated piece of music from 2015 before alot of the mainstream trap inspired singing came thru, been watching you for a long time, since rock reacts, appreciate all the reactions and breakdowns my g 🤙🏽
I hope you do all of them. Would love to see a reaction to High Hopes.
interested to know if JD had a reaction to when wus good turned into curious cause that part is so smooth and always gets me
i suggest listening to his latest album. my god he improved so much such a masterpiece and one of my top favorite albums of 2020 if not of all time. there’s no doubt you’ll vibe to it
A YG - My Krazy Life reaction would be 🔥
Partynextdoor is one of my favorite artists ever
Love your videos man! I would say one thing you may want to do is not compare every artist to Abel. Party has his own lane.
Jon Denton you are a genius for doing partynextdoor... nothing but fire on this tape
Partnextdoor is an amazing debut album, especially since he produced all of it at such a young age... but PND2 is his best piece of work, its perfect (apart from the lazy sampling on sex on the beach)... you need to listen to it!
Cant lie this an album u listen to after a party when u vibing with the mandem or Shawty
Exactly this review is a nono if you're not a trill one.. hes a nice guy i guess but remember they arnt artists
100%.

Man I really think you should give both of 88glams albums a listen, an up and coming rap duo out of Toronto, I feel like you’d enjoy their music.
PND Colors 1 is on a different plane of existence
Eamon McGuigan PEOPLE DONT KNOW THISSSS
Preach
P2
Bruh Girl from Oakland is LEGENDARY
You gotta do all party projects ep included
I just found this and I am buzzing !
Please do pnd 2 and 3, it only gets better i promise!!!
My fav artist lets go!!!
P2 is amazing probably a very healthy balance of p1 and a mix of muse, Persian rugs! Supa amazing!!!!
There are some bangers on this mixtape. So many memories....
One of the best writers in the game rn period. His word play his second to none. Andddd he produces most of his own music especially early on.
never really thought pnd had strong wordplay tbh, but his style and vibe definitely makes him a pretty amazing artist.
@@blackenedsouls8137 yeah fr everyone says he's a good songwriter but idk about that
Was Obsessed with this album in high school♥️♥️ PNDs music is liquid gold
OOOOOWEEEEEEEEEEE one of my favorite albums
waiting for PARTYMOBILE
fuck them kids hating on the name lmao
Christian Louisana name n cover isnt sounding great but hopefully
Do PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO pls
Gotta react to PARTYNEXTDOOR 2 next.. it’s mandatory
LETS GO BRODIEEE🐐🐐🐐
PND3 really underrated
FOR REAL
extremely underrated receives too much hate
please do his album PARTYNEXTDOOR 2 !
Pnd2 is party as his peak and is a classic album
Gotta listen to pnd2...got even darker and moodier production and probably his best album
YES
1st time I see u really enjoying music🤣
One more thing, the song Ballin' has nice play on words like when he says " im out of your league" or "i finished on you" phrases used in basketball. let me know if im reaching but thats what i think lol
It's a nice interpretation, it doesn't have to be "reaching". Maybe PND meant it like that, maybe he didn't. IMO the best artists can create multiple meanings out of one product.
This and PND2 are two of my favorite albums of all time. I can listen to both with no skips.
Checking in
just now seeing this but the og pnd fans need you to react to PND2 & P3.
Reaction to any Roy woods project would be awesome
Playing this album with your shorty thru the city, late nite, on your way back from the plug. *chef’s kiss*
I'm sure you'd love JMSN, especially his albums it is. And JMSN
You should do PARTYNEXTDOOR 2, his best project so far 💯
do partynextdoor 2!!!
Gotta do the rest this man is a legend
One of my favorite albums of all time
PND2 is a must listen his best project
Classic project.
Please do PND 2!!
We need partynextdoor2 that album change all of rnb n trapsoul
All self produced. Very underrated.
I clicked SOOOOOOO fast
WE NEED PND2
This might sound weird but you REALLY had to listen to this album at the time when it came out for it to resonate the way it does for us Party's true fans. The come up from PND 1, a couple dropped songs in between, then BOOM Recognize came out and hit the US like a tornado, Perfect timing for him to drop PND2 next, Colours 1, then slowly falling back into the writing for others scene....pnd 3 did not really hit the way his prior works did, Colours 2 was ok had some good songs, then he really disappeared. seven days was OK. Nothing will compare to that feeling of hearing PND1, Recognize, PND2 and watching him grow
10:30 that connection the universe you feel is the party next door yuno?
will u please listen to please excuse me for being antisocial 🥺

Change ur name cant be omo n xo at the same time
cant believe you didnt like break from toronto or tbh his two greatest songs imo but u are gonna really like ‘Options’ from pnd 2 i can tell already the song he coincidentally disses abel on😂
Ferina forever.
Options is a sleeper track but once your hooked your hooked but I don’t think he’ll like it first listen
PND1&2 are eternal classics.
It only makes sense to do PND2
