Now I just enjoy this show as a fiction where you a get to root for the psycho bad guy to see how long he can keep getting away being a psycho bad guy. Because while you may not agree with his ideals its just impressive to see him do his thing and continue to just be so smart and think from so many angles how to keep it all going. It really makes you appreciate how smart the author is for being able to write truly smart charcters instead of only slightly smart people being touted as "geniuses" for doing slightly smart things like in some other series out there.

The paper means sure he's a private guy, but no normal people would notice the door handle and pencil one. The pencil is too small to be noticed by anyone who has no clue of its existence, and the door handle part could just be interpreted as a loose or not completely locked door. since no normal person goes through that many hoops to secure his room. This somewhat shows Light's intelligence or cautiousness since they didn't suspect anything from this other than him being more private. The paper also acts as a fake alarm and/or smoke screen for his 2 other methods of detection. since they only notice the paper, they would never notice the 2 extremely obscure ways. if they noticed the other two, their suspicion of him would be raised to a whole new level.

I did the handle thing in my childhood but it was because I had seen deathnote and thought that bit was brilliant. I just loosened my door handle and detensioned the spring that turns it back into place. It would spring back to it's usual state if you just turned it and released like a normal well adjusted human, but if you the spring had been loosened to the point that it could be slightly turned afterward without causing it to spring back immediately which is something no one would ever notice. This ultimately, was mostly for my own amusement as my parents were simply not very intrusive upon my privacy, but I felt like I had unlocked some kind of super big brain idea. lol good times.

I did things like that but learning someone from your own family opened something it was clearly hidden an personal hurts so much, I stopped doing it. I prefer live in the dark of that knowledge.
I don't think Light planned to throw away his mini-TV. I think even genius serial killers are affected by sleep deprivation. Light is still smart enough to maintain his poker face when he realized his mistake, knowing he's still on camera. If he were really on top of his game, he would have kept the mini-TV to give himself as many alibis as he would naturally have if he weren't Kira. Only one alibi is too suspicious for a serial killer.
_"I don't think Light planned to throw away his mini-TV."_ Yes, he did, it was all part of the plan since he can't keep agents from sneaking into his room when no one's home.
That’s the thing. Morally it’s good to say all killing on bad or power corrupts. But in the one trillion of the chance where you can actually change the world for the better. Even if it means your own destruction. How many people would do it? He’s in a very unique situation where unlike all of human kind he can potentially change the world for the better. The moral standards of today aren’t of the past and sure are going to change in the future. The one thing I loved about light is he stayed consistent on his goal. And he did have standards. He didn’t just target criminals who regretted their actions or found redemption. He wasn’t bloodthirsty even when the death note completely corrupts him. Sure he did have to kill some minor criminals a couple times and the people coming after him. If you try to stop him from punishing criminals and saving people. To him that’s like you jumping in the way of him stopping a murder or rape. Then are you so innocent? If you’re stopping someone from saving others then he would translate that action as an enabling action.
My issue is that I see the downside and the inevitable corruption that ensues from having such power. It cannot be strictly used for good and in the end you are going to hit a point where you are not only killing criminals but innocent people too. He is making the world how he desires it to be which is no different to a dictator in that regards because anyone he dislikes or defies his idealised utopia is subject to death. We don't idealise dictators because they control freedom of speech and limit people's lives so we shouldn't idealise Light whose behaviour is following that trajectory. I've read enough Dystopian literature to know that concepts of Utopia always inevitably turn evil due to human greed and lust for power. Which is why I can't agree with Light's actions or the use of such power because it is easy for it to become twisted. There's also the potential of killing people who may not have actually committed a crime. People who have wrongfully been imprisoned. Light does not know if they are truly guilty or not. He is believing that they are so based on the judicial system without having heard or assessed the evidence himself. So there's also a fatal flaw in his system which is presuming guilt whereas we all know that there's potential for people to be wrongfully imprisoned due to corruption which is why a lot of countries no longer have the death penalty to prevent the possibility of killing someone whose innocent.
Damn, I mean say what you like about Light, but the dude is very hard working if anything LOL. Getting ahead on his killing homework and all, look at him go x'd Around this time in the series i started to wonder if the pages in the DN are infinite or if it'd run out of space eventually, considering how much he's used it lol
I don't enjoy the English version of Death Note, except for this potato chip meme. So I had to watch that. But I hope you enjoy the rest of the series!
7:30 LOL, yeah that's a common sentiment. *I don't condone his actions at all, but dammit, he's such a fun character.* He is still framed as the protagonist so it's not at all strange to still "root" for him (at least a little), even if he's not someone I would like as a real person.
@@DrSophieDarlingReacts it's connected to the Robert pattison batman movie. You could watch that first to introduce you to the penguin character. The show is pretty much The penguins story on how he came to rise after
Too much potato chips and he can't kill; fewer potato chips and L suspects of his hands never feeding him. A very delicate and meticulous calculation of an average potato chip\ name being written has to be done to appear natural. so do eat your potato chips at the right time.

If he were really on top of his game, he would have kept the mini-TV to give himself as many alibis as he would naturally have if he weren't Kira. Only one alibi is too suspicious for a serial killer.
_"I don't think Light planned to throw away his mini-TV."_
Yes, he did, it was all part of the plan since he can't keep agents from sneaking into his room when no one's home.
The potato chip scene is cinema ☕️🚬
I welcome you to the club of knowers of the phrase "i'll take a potato chip AND EAT IT" x'd Congrats
I feel honoured to be a part of it!
The potato chip scene gets me everytime 😂 Imo it's one of a few times where dub was better than sub, the delivery is so comically dramatic haha
Your hair looks so cute like this, btw
Aw thank you!!
14:16 Ryuk character development!
L got a sweet tooth
Potato chip!
I used to trap my bedroom 'cause my nephew would try to steal my weed when I wasn't home.
HAHA!! That's fair!!
19:44 at this moment i was flabbergasted by your intelligence. pls marry me
I definitely did things like light for security
12:00 I've done stuff like that.
19:45 Ooof. 5000 IQ. Haha.
Damn, I mean say what you like about Light, but the dude is very hard working if anything LOL. Getting ahead on his killing homework and all, look at him go x'd
Around this time in the series i started to wonder if the pages in the DN are infinite or if it'd run out of space eventually, considering how much he's used it lol
He's more motivation than I do that's for sure haha! I'd be too lazy tbh.
I don't enjoy the English version of Death Note, except for this potato chip meme. So I had to watch that.
But I hope you enjoy the rest of the series!
And when L says "yes, that would be dark."
@@tbush6657 And a certain laugh much later on. Which I enjoyed as much in Jp.
7:30 LOL, yeah that's a common sentiment. *I don't condone his actions at all, but dammit, he's such a fun character.*
He is still framed as the protagonist so it's not at all strange to still "root" for him (at least a little), even if he's not someone I would like as a real person.
Like you want to hate him but at the same time you're also like "god you're smart for getting away with it that's damn clever!"
I hope you get yo do the penguin after this .
Do I need to have any context of Batman as a series before watching it?! I haven't watched any of the films >.
@@DrSophieDarlingReacts it's connected to the Robert pattison batman movie. You could watch that first to introduce you to the penguin character. The show is pretty much The penguins story on how he came to rise after
But if the ice-cream is matcha flavour, would you still like it?
I think I'd give it a go. Never had matcha before!
Too much potato chips and he can't kill; fewer potato chips and L suspects of his hands never feeding him. A very delicate and meticulous calculation of an average potato chip\ name being written has to be done to appear natural. so do eat your potato chips at the right time.
4.86K!!!
I mean... Light kinda has to be one step ahead *because* he started things. L can't be predictive, only reactive on his slip-ups as far as investigating actually goes. The moment he isn't one step ahead it is the end of the game.
1500 is surely a ridiculous number ? I doubt the entire organization has 150 Asian investigators to spare, even with non-asian ones, spending that many of man power on a single case seemed very unrealistic, but what do I know lol.
L is lost! Lol x
I guess we know who is Team L. :D
It is not recommended to watch AOT and Death Note at the same time.
AOT is so gruesome that the character's death in Death Note feels light.
i don't have particular thing i do to make sure nobody go into my room or search things but i'm really manic in a way so i know how everything is where in what shape to the nearest
millimeters if i take or move something or someone do it i have the need to put it again at the place it was perfectly the same way it was before i'm messy a bit but i like to have my mess "organised" and keep in a way i want, and i'm so much manic that if i enter my room i can feel in 2 sec if someone enter my room or not even if i don't see specificaly something that have moved i can't point it out but unconsciously my brain see it and know it that something was moved even a little and even nothing moved but someone was here and walk in it etc
sorry for any mistake i'm french english is not my first language
That's very perceptive! I would be similar in that I know if something has been altered in my office and not by me because it's not organised the way that I would do it!
I find amusing, you say that is unfortunate if Ligth perish ? I don't get it i would be happy if my nemesis perish for getting in my way. I don't understand your pity.
