- Ladies and gentlemen, for my 200th public video, I present you the greatest truck I have ever filmed - the ancient Heil Collectomatic! Jared, Mike, and I had to get up at 4:15 am after less than two hours of sleep to find this truck! They started route around 5:30 am, and were finshed around 8 am. Nice little country route. This truck mostly does driveway stops and out-of-the-way backroads. A bigger Heil Formula 4000 collects the more main areas. Enjoy!

Fab truck! It's great how the bottom of the bin comes up. It's like a giant mouth eating everything up. Love the shoot at the transfer station too. Great work, more of this truck please, get that camera closer in there as it crunches down.

Fantastic truck. Some trucks just have that extra bit of character. I like this design, it doesn't let you see much in hopper crushing action, but the unique design totally makes up for it.
That truck is a classic! Good video. The city of Parma Ohio used to use these decades ago when they picked up their own trash. They've used republic waste(Bfi) since.

Ah nostalgia! I remember following a truck like this back when I was six. (I'm 38 now.) Glad to know there's at least one video I can reminisce with.
A-1 Video! The body is a Heil 3000, probably built between 1975-1981

I remember this sort of truck as a kid in the 1970s. I wonder if it could handle a couch or something that wouldn't fit fully into the hopper. This truck had to be super rare to see on the road 10 years ago and I'm wondering if any are still in operation today.

Man I know the kick bar tipper can be pulled off on some trucks- but on that it looks about as sketchy as the hotel with the carts rocking everywhere haha.I could't understand what was said at 3:57 but it seemed thourghout the video the driver didn't want to be filmed. what was the helper's attitude toward the video? and did he have any appriciation for the rare truck he was on (although running it might suck ) Keep em comming!

Got a request for someone: find an E-Z Pack Hydro side loader in action somewhere...that was another vintage garbage truck I saw, a couple of times, as a kid. When it compacted, that three-stage cylinder was huge!
VERY NICE Don't let this truck end up in the junk yard. must be the only one still in use in the USA restore it or repaint it its very special.
I heard there are some Mark III/Formula 3000 still in service in USA, and also there are a Mark II like new in service right now
The Mark II with license plate 2 1086 still in service believe it or not in Wyoming. The Mark II is the same hinged hopper with the flat packer panel.
Also in Wyoming there are the original Mark III in a International Cargostar in red color and this is Still in service too, right now only 3 of this family operates in USA

Lot of energy wastage here…the hopper is nowhere near full when he cycles the blade.
Man we stopped double siding like these guys a long time ago, even on the country routes.
