Dear Dean Brabazon, You are the absolute best, most powerful, helpful, inspiring and motivating thing that has ever happened to me in my PhD journey. I watched this two years ago, after my first year and now again after my third year, and it has gotten me back on track by the time I'm done with step 5. I owe my completions to you! Thank you so much. In my heart, you are the first person to be thanked on my future acknowledgement page. Your videos have done more than any other advisor I've ever had. Thank you. (PhD student, Durham University, UK)
Gosh, I needed this. I am starting the new year feeling disappointed and regretful about where I'm at with my Thesis. Thanks so much for your words of encouragement. I now have a plan of attack.
Hi Tara. I'm about halfway through a 3 year PhD. So far, I've had spine surgery, a stroke, and issues with hydrocephalus. I haven't taken any long breaks - yet - and I'm still enjoying my research, but I can definitely see the value in a reboot. Thank you. 😊
Your lessons are always informative and educational, Professor Tara Brabazon. You are a yardstick of professorship to be emulated by those teaching at institutions of higher learning. Kudos for the good work.
Hi Tara. I’ve been listening to you for about a year now. I’ve just submitted my thesis and it has a ton of formatting errors. It is a theatre history PhD and my research method is a mix of close reading and contextualisation with the aim of creating a new theory of theatre. Do you think my examiners will focus more on my formatting or my research method?
