Have you ever been told that you should be the Iron Fist from the Netflix series. At least the stunt double. You look similar and you know your stuff about fighting. That show was terrible because he couldn't fight (given that the iron fist is like the martial arts genius in the marvel comics universe) and it was sloppy.
Tommy Thao the show wasn't bad because "he couldn't fight" that's a really bad mentality of judging. The show was focused more so on the business aspect rather than the hero aspect.
I started my career with traditional karate. I don't do anything that even closely resembles it any more, but I always love to see these digests of knowledge and wisdom from Shane!
Yo Shane, I know you did a video on Marijuana but you have mentioned only the THC aspect of it( which is the compound that makes you high) You said in your video you don't like using it because you don't like being having the feeling of being intoxicated however what about CBD( the second compound of weed that doesnt get you high but has the beneficial effects like relaxation, anti-inflammatory etc) would you consider of using that to help recovery?
hey Shane say I'm a 6ft fighter should I move up weight for my first MMA fight or fight at 115 I'm like 124 rn just alott of people say I should fight a 115 and alott say I should fight at 160 bc I'm 6ft
You ever planning on having an MMA fight? I know you have some experience in Muay Thai, same as myself, but you show off a lot of MMA techniques with out any legitimate background in MMA per-se. Don't get me wrong though, I've watched you for years and love all your videos and what you do, but a lot of these fancy MMA techniques you show off do not really work. This is in response to a few of your videos brutha, not just this one, I've used this step-in technique before so I can vouch for it lol. Keep up the good work though man! :D
Hey Shane I was hoping you can help me on this. So I've been doing karate for like an year an something and mma for like 5 months. It's mostly going ok apart from the fact that I can't kixk high without leaning back A LOT. I don't know why. I just don't have the flexibility. I've been stretching nearly eveeyday for the last year and my flexibility just won't improve. And trust me I'm doing it seriously I'm doing all the dtretches each twice for like 1min. I ve tried every one there is. I just don't know what to do anymore.
Can you do one on a Goju/Shotokan chudan tsuki and oi tsuki I like that style of hard step in and switching step in. Especially from square to bladed stance like I'm Goju Ryu
Shane, the pendulum step is illegal in TaeKwonDo. But, it's still useful in other situations. And can you make a video of your opinions on New TaeKwonDo Rules?
My elbow hurts when I jab possibly from hyperextending the joint. Can you do a video on how to punch without elbow pain. Talk about how to fully extend the punch without pain, the correct angle of a punch, turning the joint the opposite way, and much more. I want to be able to punch hard and fast when fully extending and don't just talk about using your shoulder but much more. Thanks alot.
Hey Shane I find this channel very useful but I was wondering if you're considered obese by a doctor is MMA a waste of time because I love the sport but I'm also very overweight what do you think?
Shane i have done Boxing for 9 years, i am 17, and have learned a lot, however i wanna be a MMA fighter when i am older, i want to expand my skills and Knowledge in other Martial Arts, However there are very Limited places i can go and they cost a lot and i dont have much money, what's your advice?
It's crazy when I see your videos Cuz it'll take a why'll yo check on it but when I see wat your introduction on it I'm amazed Cuz I'll be practicing them with out knowing them ty
I've been doing the pendulum step pretty much all my martial art life and never knew what it was called! It's a shame I'm learning more about my traditional taekwondo training by watching MMA how to videos
Shane should fight more. His last boxing fights were really entertaining and I think it would be great to consolidate his knowledge. Also for walking the walk's sake.
Guess who leaves a comment in every video of yours and started to do boxing because you're a motivation to me and I enjoy combat sports ? this guy. * obviously pointing at myself *
can y make one or twice a month muay thai 30 min videos..which y qre gone show us some training for bigginers on tradional muay thai..pls answer m sir... ty😊
I was taught the pendulum side kick in my shaolin class, my instructor called it a step side kick, does that mean my classes were legit? Because I got laughed at in my school for showing the kick in a demo!
it is a stepping side kick if you do a stepping side kick.... the 'pendulum' just refers to the initial step to throw a variety of lead leg kicks. And showing off the kick in a demo at school sounds like the behaviour of a neckbeard
My favourite kick this one use it all the time with sidekick very powerful best disguised with jab or sidekick to blitz,or hook kick, got to be disguised against high level fighters as they see if mile away
i use a very narrow stance in my mma style but i'm both orthadox and southpaw, use the pendulum step more often because its easier with a narrow stance and favors taekwondo kicks since your sacrificing the wind up of a more traditional muy thai kick
sherk pepeston it reminds me a time i got in a fight with a bjj practicioner, first we were boasting and he was saying "once i get you in a choke you will be out in less than 3 seconds" and i said " try me bitch you can do ql the BJ you want, ill eat you raw" i threw a punch he grabbed me, got me on the floor, went for an armbar and i got a bite of his leg, litterally bitten off q chunk of his leg... I quite literally did what i warned him i would do... :3
sometimes fighters wont kick at all they act like they're going to make a pendulum kick then they pull it back followed by throwing punches at the opponent what kind of move is that
great video shane, for some reason when you threw that hopping side kick i imagined rogan throwing it, everything he throws with his legs is devastating.
Hey Shane, kickboxer here. I was just wondering, am I doing something wrong with my punches?, because when I'm shadowboxing, I tend to be slower with combos then when I'm doing combos on the bag.
I'm a southpaw and keep a pretty narrow stance...I have been using this for lead leg round house and side kicks for awhile. I love it, I feel switch kicks are way to telegraphed....really like the faking at the end to come in with the 1-2, gonna try that
Started practicing in my room, thought I was lightly tapping the wall after the step but forgot all about the extra momentum this technique gives u....in short my wall now has a hole
My dog will never see it comming
PHANTOM THIEF??!??!?!?!?1

Yo Shane, I know you did a video on Marijuana but you have mentioned only the THC aspect of it( which is the compound that makes you high) You said in your video you don't like using it because you don't like being having the feeling of being intoxicated however what about CBD( the second compound of weed that doesnt get you high but has the beneficial effects like relaxation, anti-inflammatory etc) would you consider of using that to help recovery?

What about applying the pendulum step to boxing? Like jab for instance.
I like a classic JKD pendulum step to an instep kick to the knee. A strong left jab from orthodox rings the bell.
It's crazy when I see your videos Cuz it'll take a why'll yo check on it but when I see wat your introduction on it I'm amazed Cuz I'll be practicing them with out knowing them ty

Shane will you ever get back in the Ring and fight again
Liam Webb he said his competing days are over on instagram
Sasuke.7 ok thanks
Awesome! I'm a little guy so this will certainly help with closing the distance.
Btw, anyway I can get a t shirt?
Thanks again and God bless.
Jab, step and lead side kick, then a roundhouse- Thats a combo I've just come up with!
Guess who leaves a comment in every video of yours and started to do boxing because you're a motivation to me and I enjoy combat sports ? this guy. * obviously pointing at myself *
About to start Muay Thai, going to be a perfect combination for jiu jitsu. Very excited!
That's look efective.
bro can you do some tutorial on shadow punches and combination.
ShaneI’m struggling with the switch kicks in Muay Thai, any tips?
can y make one or twice a month muay thai 30 min videos..which y qre gone show us some training for bigginers on tradional muay thai..pls answer m sir... ty😊

Just laugh back because they are ignorant and you are knowledgeable
It's just the name that is different cause everyone has their own way to call it
it is a stepping side kick if you do a stepping side kick.... the 'pendulum' just refers to the initial step to throw a variety of lead leg kicks. And showing off the kick in a demo at school sounds like the behaviour of a neckbeard
this is really big with jkd guys too
yup

I might sound weird but can you teach us the Moves Annie Leonhart from Attack on Titan uses?
This is referred to as a "stealing step" in Chinese martial arts.
Hey Shane can you plese make some bjj techniques? Maybe with Dimitry
Noted!
fightTIPS thanks for replying
sherk pepeston it reminds me a time i got in a fight with a bjj practicioner, first we were boasting and he was saying "once i get you in a choke you will be out in less than 3 seconds" and i said " try me bitch you can do ql the BJ you want, ill eat you raw" i threw a punch he grabbed me, got me on the floor, went for an armbar and i got a bite of his leg, litterally bitten off q chunk of his leg... Would NOT want to be on the receiving end of those. God damn...
Great tutorial video shane i love your watching your videos can u do a tutorial with a 52 blocks teacher
Was the footage sped up slightly Shane?
If not, that's some impressive speed mate
You should do a video of yourself hitting mitts or a heavybag, love your technique and everyone would love to see it in action.
I do karate and when we do kumite, I get closer, but I usually don't do it because I am alwase taller than most kids in my karate
What do you eat daily Shane? You're lookin pretty shredded
In the taekwondo sparring this footwork technique is one of the best to make points.
Any tips about which movement in karate goes better with this step?
Spar with Emerson Doyle.
Guys i'm 12 yrs.old boy What size do i use?
Nice video !
the pendulum step is use in savate, jeet kune do and some kung fu system to :)
Essential JKD footwork, nice
Hey shane can u make a video on hand motion like what you did at 1:28 with ur hands im used to droping my hands pls.
What is the best stand for boxing, if you want to fight aggressive ?
would this be applicible in jeet kune do bc it looks different to me
I like to go to the body and leg with it until they start to react then I use it to set up the jumping round house with the other leg
Hey Shane can you make a prediction video on canelo ggg

Can't you use that to clear off distance as well?

This channel has all the content I need
More Muay thai audio workouts please!
Shane I would like to see you fight again
can you post a video on using the spike elbow
pendulum plus one is also nice for push kicks from hell
We are forgetting kung fu bruce lee mastered the art
Where can i buy the Zebra heavy bag that you have in this video?
what should I do after wrestling season
You can use that to strike with the rear leg too, in taekwondo we use this a lot.
Also a catchy move on the dance floor.....
Great video to start my day off. Thanks Shane
Perfect! Have a good one!
great video shane, for some reason when you threw that hopping side kick i imagined rogan throwing it, everything he throws with his legs is devastating.
The move that gave me my first win in Muay thai
Hey Shane, kickboxer here. I was just wondering, am I doing something wrong with my punches?, because when I'm shadowboxing, I tend to be slower with combos then when I'm doing combos on the bag.
EL3GYFighter no. the only thing wrong is your weak core and balance just that.
I used to do that alot in karate and i still use it in thai boxing.
Nice set ups Shane!! Nice t shirt too!!
Good technique and details.
Nice vid bro! Is it from jkd?
and up and down and up and down and up and down
Best fighting style in your opinion?
Can you make a video on how to set up the left hook?
Thanks for the channel bud. Awesome videos and loving the frequency.
I just started Muay Thai and i'm going to watch all your 146 Thai videos.
Great. This movement was used by Sifu Bruce Lee. I have used this movement too times and is very effective.
Thanks for you esplanation Shane.
Saludos desde Argentina.
Thanks , awesome combos....
