- I found this in my old archives when I was a cameraman for L.A.P.D.the Television Series the show changed it's name to LAPD Life on the Beat after I left. It was deleted when my TVMAN1981 account was deleted.
HOW THE FUCK DID SHE DO THAT? The fucking Rookie stayed calmer than this joke.
I didn't see any cars near her when she failed
Weird, that...
Buses were in the way , I think .
@@johnworrall3646driving while female 😂😂😂😊
So cool to see this footage. The days of box chevys and bubble chevys wow!
Orcas.
It’s funny, the LAPD appears to have gotten rid of most of their box Chevys and Vics post ‘96, yet in 2022 they’re still hanging on to their 2011 Vics.
@@hoodlambo Hey, their only alternatives now are Explorers, Chargers, and used Tauruses. They may be able to beat the old Vics in speed and driving dynamics but I doubt any of those are just as robust
2 female cops, that poor car didn’t stand a chance
I came just to comment this 😂😂
😂😂what I came looking for
that was unbelievable. they crashed during an "easy part" and that is the lightest I have seen LA traffic in the afternoon.
yeah same I don't make jokes about lady drivers because there are some who are great at it but her driving sucked that traffic was really light
she is such a bad driver
This was the greatest Law enforcement show of the 90’s!👍🏽🇺🇸
Hell yes, better then Cops or any others like it in the 90s
@@chrismalone5384 The reason I thought LAPD life on the beat was better than cops was because- this show would show even when they didn't capture the criminals! Or like how dumb this lady was crashing and trying to blame it on other drivers when she obviously lost control! She makes it sound like someone ran her off the road but there's no one even to her left!
real stories of the highway I liked, cops was eh, and this didn't have enough episodes or chases in my opinion but otherwise was a great show
@@Richard-Allen 👍🏽 Agreed! Real Stories Of The Highway patrol was a good one.
Best days! LAPD. I would stay up late on school nights to watch this show. Love the video thanks
You call 9pm late you snowflake, why dont you go back to your TRUMP rally's huh?
@@danfield6030 What???????
@@danfield6030 you a straight jkat
I owned a 1989 retired police Caprice, and can tell you it handled a %1000 better then a S10 Blazer. No excuse for her!
I definitely wish this show was still on!!
How panicked was the female driver from the very outset. And crashes on a straight road 🤦🏼♂️
Half of those squad cars are from the mid to late 80’s. Sort of like a police department still using a 2011 Crown Victoria.
Bring This Show Back!
Man.. I used to stay up late every night to watch this show.. I wanted to be a cop so bad.. and I eventually became a police officer with the LAPD. 19 years ago the young lady driving the car was my field Sgt.. you will always recognize that voice
Be safe, copper!
Did they put her on foot patrols after that?
that is epic
@@CWPSO lol quit being such a chauvinist
Your field Sgt. doesn't know how to drive.
Of course the women cop crashed lmao
Man i sure do miss watching this tv show. They NEVER should've canceled this show. This was good tv in the 1990's, wish i could go back to the 1980s an 1990s and Stay!.
I have over a
dozen of these LAPD series 96-98 eps recorded and the LIFE ON THE BEAT OF LAPD 2 hour special x 2
Love them
Can I buy a copy of them?
Dude, upload them. Many people would certainly appreciate it.
I’ll try to get them uploaded.
@joehickey7262 still waiting
These old cop cars are so damn good looking, what a time
Also, women officers have always been effective I see.
I would have gone with women drivers.
She's sounds drunk
Dirty Harry was right.
The way the narrator described the gun the gang member had was one of the most preposterous things I have ever heard.
6:30 "Rapid fire, high capacity, 9 mm, semi-automatic, assault weapon."
LOL!
Tec-9
😂
Good ole days. Thank you for posting
ha, how did that first cop pass her driving test.
Thanks Stan!
I watched this show with much interest in the mid-90's. I was going to join the LAPD but joined the military (Army Reservist) instead. Wow! This clip brings back memories...it was appointment viewing for me. I live in New Zealand & this show was screened at 1am on TV2.
THANKS!
She just took the mic from her probationary, lol
Core memory unlocked. I remember that theme song
I get this show every night when my son comes home LOL He works the south end. There was a murder just yesterday in broad daylight at a car wash.
That street sergeant had great hair. Made up for the SWAT cop having none! Keep the vids coming Stanley.
😂
I really loved watching this show here in Hawaii ...
Nice to see them still using 1987-90 Chevy Caprice _9C1_ units and 1991 Ford LTD Crown Victorias alongside newer 1991+ Caprices even in the mid-90s. I was a kid in the area at the time but too young to remember any of it vividly.
Those were good cars. The new stuff is so bad it's made the news for actually killing officers
@@1598hi yeah and all the suvs the cops have now get outran all the time.
oh yes, they had the 1986 caprices until 1994, and the 1988 and 1989 caprices until 1995 meaning this was one of the last ones, the 1990 and 1990 LTD Crown Victorias were used until 2000, and the 91-96 caprices were used until around 2002, of course the 1995-1997 crown victoria's were in use until 2019 so yeah they keep this stuff forever
@PGB19D that it could
2:30
I just TA’ed
= I just “did it again”
This is a cool show. I liked profiles that they did on the different units and the high profile incidents.
Shame they removed your videos, I remember last time I was leave a comment on this episode and I want to say it again. "RIP Caprice". Thank you
the song , 😅 brings back memories of me as a kid watching it in the living room with my brothers and pops ..
Rest in Peace Louie Villalobos!
I used to buy alcohol at that liquor store. They didn't ask for ID haha
I would always watch this show with my father when i was a kid 👍🏽
12 years on the force and she TAs
I reside in Utah now but I grew up in the 90’s teen years so crazy shit,.. miss Los Angeles ...
Stanley Roberts you did a amazing job on this video
Dayum just as i was gonna say she can drive me when were im late to a appt then i witnessed the pole TA and im good lol. Keep up the good job
This show brings me back. Thanks for the upload
Yoo I used to love this as a kid lmfao. Since I grew up in Lb wanted to see local la shit
That liquor store the female officer crashed into would always sell me alcohol when I was underage. Lol
Lmao 😂
My left ear enjoyed this
I don't like the mono audio too but it was made in the 90s what did you expect
You need to rearrange your speakers man. The sound comes from the right.
Your RCA cables must be reversed dude. Mono only comes out one speaker if they are reversed.
Thank you for uploading Mr. Roberts.
I can't believe I just discovered this!
6:59 The days of the Motorola Astro Sabre and MODAT. Those old police radios are just as big if not bigger than their guns.
Yeah. N now they're normal sized. N very muffled when someone is radioing you.
Stan, this is good stuff!
Miss you Stanley! Can’t wait to see new videos!
I remember this show!
used to watch it when i was 14 now 29
Cops had awesome mustaches 😊
First time I've seen on video a kind officer handing out cold beers at the command post. I like LAPD!
I remember an episode where a woman was stalking Christopher Lloyd. She kept trying to give him gifts, including a painting she made. It was weird.
YO IM CTFU 🤣
That's central and Florence 😂😂😂
Wow LAPD history. 07:07. My uncle through marriage, Al Preciado, one of the original LAPD SWAT team members. He was the SWAT officer who was at the bottom of the stone stairs that was lobbing tear gas and returning fire into the SLA house shootout (South LA) in the early 70s.. He was in the middle of the crossfire. I'm sure there are videos of Uncle Al at the stairs.
Considering the pole size, thats not too badly damaged. Overall, the political climate in LA would never let this show nowadays. It shows the police are the good guys
"He's covered with dust from the attic" and he also left crime cooties behind. The attic will now have to be decontaminated of those cooties.
I think she was swerving between traffic that's when she lost control those car back in the day seem really heavy.......
Where's all the other episodes 💯👍
Believe it or not as long ago as it was I wish this show was still on or would come back on and sometimes I even wish live on patrol would even film in Los Angeles but either way I would like to see it again
Worst siren use ever
How the hell did she crash?
she had two x chromosomes
08:24 That's my mother's cousin Albert (Al) Preciado. He is a orginal and founding member of LAPD SWAT. He is the SWAT Officer who was at the bottom of the rock steps at the SLA firefight E 54th street (1974). Uncle Al was there during the whole gunbattle. He lobbed tear gas into the house and was pinned down for two hours. The house burned to the ground.
Uncle Art also participated in the raid on Black Panther HQ in LA in 1969, the first SWAT action in US History. He was wounded (minor) during that raid.
None of that is anything to be proud of...
Joshua Powell It kinda is, if you think about it.
@@joshuapowell114 Tell us some funny but short prison stories about being a wife...
Eff the popos
Al Perciado was a legend on the department!
Awesome footages !
Goodness. Supervisor showed up in a brand new crown vic.... when I first started in my department, I was issued the oldest car we had which was a 2011 crown vic. Hard to believe at one point those were the cars supervisors got first.
Cool. What cameras and video formats did you use? Tell me the exact models if possible.
Back then it was Betacam 300 video tape.
Damn, those Caprices could take a beating!!! The best shop I ever drove were the 94-96 Caprices!!
Un orgullo los oficiales con años de experiencia, latinos LAPD y SWAT
I miss that show!!!! Just like women, always causing a TA
@Mcnight Smith YOU SNOWFLAKE ,why dont you go back to your trump rally's?!!!! Hahaha
@@danfield6030 Sweet attempt at communicating.
Perhaps the trillion dollar plus "infrastructure" bill will have some allocation for basic English classes.
I like these videos!
LMFAO every time I watch a pursuit with a female cop, the car gets wrecked.
Same thing if I loan my wife the car......lost 2 vehicles so far and 6 times at the garage in an 8 year marriage.....we laugh about how the stereotype is true.
You know they made fun of her the next day when she got to the office 😂
Classic woman driver move.
"GET DOWN ON THE GROUND, LIGHT POST! YOU'RE UNDER ARREST FOR DESTRUCTION TO A POLICE CAR!"
How you crash in a straight line?
Edit: that poor Caprice.... no wonder they're hard to find.
Pay attention to how she masterfully explained why it was the citizens fault she crashed and not her's... There was no car in front of her confused on what to do, she didn't have to avoid anybody... She lost control because she changed her mind at the last minute and over cut the wheel, and she was going way to fast for it and lost control... This is why cops started to believe they could do no wrong.. she truly believes herself.
Roger that!
These LAPD Officer are the top tier law enforcement agency in the country. They are known for their innovation. Hats off to these folks.
I can just imagine what that Sergeant is thinking......LOLOL....lord.....
Rumor has it, frantic Lady cop was promoted to Sargent
The problem wasn't the traffic seeing a black and white with sirens and panicking, the problem was she wasn't able to keep her cool, lost control because she was driving like she was drunk and panicking, and avoided air in favour of hitting a pole.
How the hell did she crash ?!
By being a woman 🤣
2020
Anyone no y this AWSOME show was never allowed on DVD? Like operation repo n other trutv shows!?! 91 fcv n 96 carprrace where the best iconic cruisers this department was famous for, aerodynic n mx7000 code 3 light bars where the coolests
Conspiracy
It’s crazy how I deadass live a block from there and too see how it use to look
Rest Easy Louis
That SWAT cop Albert Preciado was at the SLA gun battle in 1974.
LA version of Cop's. Always a gold mine for action
Traffic on Florence was light back then
Did u film a lil boy in a GTA high speed from OC to South LA...he hoped out and ran into his his granny house, and hopped in the bathtub?
Pretty simple to turn the siren on instead of holding the horn push button down on the steering wheel. This caused the crash because she wouldn't let the button go and couldn't steer. Bravo... hope ya got 3 days for that stupidity.
40 years ago , holy shit , these times where crazy in LA
30+ years ago
Caught misbehaving with Stanley Roberts do you have anymore old school lapd vids
1:41 that radio notification sound, do police still have it? it sounds like it was a thing in the 90s.. Damn it was so cool
RIP Louie V...
It's happening all over again
The public has to go to the right.... that's why you NEVER pass on the right 🤦♂️
Man she cracked up a nice cop car!
holy shit they got MP5s
I wasn’t surprised when she crashed
7:00--that's Sandra Bullock's dude
Nice seeing some cops sporting mustaches
No wonder the lady driving was like "give me that" (the radio) from the other officer, she was a rookie and really didn't know how to give out directions, description ect ect.
Interesting.
6:24 that looked like some Roof Koreans, you don't fuck with LA Roof Koreans.
Thats funny
