    Sad to see Conor sidelined. Love him or hate him numbers dont lie. He is a big part of UFC.
    Thank you for the moments and pray for his health and hopefully a return.

    Great Interview - Connor was initially controlling the fight when things were at a distance but when he hit Dustin's head with the left - what appeared to be his hardest hit of the fight - Dustin decided to close the distance and he moved forward and eventually hit Connor with a left - Connor tried to kick him, maybe to keep him at a distance but as Dustin was moving forward and hitting Connor - McGregor inexplicably stopped throwing punches (maybe he was rocked?)... and he got hit about 6 times in a row while moving backwards... and that seemed to motivate him to go to the clinch. Not sure why he stopped throwing punches - he became an easy target at that point.

    • @YoungBizWhiz

      @@allthingssports7107 It is a tall task to recuperate from the break and then get back into the ring against a hungry killer like Dustin - who just dominated him at close range striking (which used to be one of Conor's strengths, IMO). He'll be 33 and in his prime with a couple hundred million in the bank... why go through the aggravation and physical and mental hardship of another grueling camp? He has a family and his health - I'd like to see him find another passion - but I'm sure he doesn't want to end his career on this kind of performance.

      Because Conor has not learnt to weather shots. As soon as he gets a bit of adversity he folds.

      @YoungBizWhiz 3 года назад

      @@spacebjorn Ya know it really kind of looks that way to me... but he seemed to take punches better earlier in his career (but I also know Dustin is hitting harder than the smaller guys). Dustin is the opposite - the more abuse he takes the more determination he seems to have.

      It is possible, IDK enough about his training - but I do think Conor has (maybe had) some rare striking skills for an MMA fighter... at least, at one point in time.

      Did we watch the same fight? McGregor had 80% of the standup and was trading elbows with Dustin on the ground. McGregor landed more total strikes even after the freak injury. The only thing Dustin truly had was control time, which doesn’t mean shit.

    • @eyecxn
      @eyecxn 3 года назад +1

      You must've been watching a different fight, yes Dustin won that round but it was Conor held his own very well.

      @@scottc2076 Connor would only clinch if he is in a bad spot. Elbows from your back have no where near the same power as from on top where you have gravity and hip twist on your side. Conor was dominated.

      @@adamabbas1487 John Kavanaugh said that they were trying to go for the standing guillotine to try to re establish kicking range or submit Dustin. It was part of the game plan, that didn’t execute. Simple as that.
