After the nuns prologue, can you explain the significance of all those people coming out with flowers, ("SOM" is not "MY FAIR LADY", after all) on bicycle and whatnot? It adds nothing, and takes a terribly long time for Maria to make her entrance. When she does, she's singing scales, sounding like "The Little Mermaid." Some very odd staging and directorial choices.
