  • Plume Geyser is located 50 meters east of Beehive Geyser in the 'Geyser Hill Group," of Yellowstone National Park's Upper Geyser Basin. At the time this video was published (February 2023), Plume has been dormant for over ten years -- its last known eruption was recorded on the evening of Saturday, January 26, 2013.
Plume's location is near a corner of the the boardwalk that provides a great view of Old Faithful's eruptions, and this is where I found my wife Gloria waiting when Plume decided to put on a show. Today, the vents around Plume sometime act as if they want to do something more than just splashing and acting as fumaroles, but only time will tell if Plume reactivates, or if a new geyser will erupt from that location.

Great view, Yellowstone is so amazing. What time of the day were you at the geyser? We plan to be there in a few months. Thanks for sharing!

We where there after 8:00 PM. Plume hasn't erupted in 10 years now, so it probably will not cooperate this season: geysertimes.org/geyser.php?id=Plume. On the other hand, the location I filmed this at is a great place to watch Old Faithful from because you can also keep an eye on Beehive, which IMO one of the best geysers in the world: ruclips.net/video/y8gLhHzPY5M/видео.html. Enjoy you visit!

@Daniel Williams Hi Daniel! Curious, why Beehive? Lots of geysers in the park.
