Best overall review I've seen for this card. I appreciate the you adding in undervolting information, very helpful for cards like this. I have the same red k39 v2 with the gigabyte 2070 itx. Just ordered this card and can't wait to upgrade.
@@J.I.R.A I got my card off of Newegg. The cheapest was 850 from a seller in HK so definitely did not pay msrp. They don't even sell it in the US. Seems like most sellers are in Asia. Seen on some forums that some retailers in Japan get them including amazon jp.
Thanks for the great SFF content! I was close to picking one of these up for my 1080p K39 build with a 5600 but ended up going with the Asrock 6600XT ITX as it was the only one in stock in my region for a while. It is around 15% slower than the 3060 Ti on average but costs 30% less in my region. It is also 160w stock so should run a bit cooler and quieter in the K39.
@@warnacokelat I think the 130w figure is just for the GPU but 160w is total board power which includes all the other parts on the card such as memory. I did some basic undervolting on mine so the power draw from the GPU itself to around 100-110w with a clock of 2.6-2.65ghz.
If you use the the newest version of k39, you can add 40mm fan for exhaust, both cpu & gpu side. Ive got them for my rig . For black ridge you`ll need 40x10mm
You should try flipping that power supply. The cables can still be plugged in as there's space for them to do a U-turn and go up. But most importantly, the vented side of the psu will face downwards, so it will not dump the heat into your cpu but instead exit the case below. At 6:35 I see that your case have a vented bottom panel, possibly for this reason.
I'm late but, that would be even less airflow, the K39 doesnt sit on "feet", so the intake would be flush with surface. In its current orientation, it sucks the hot air out of the case and out the back of the 7660b.
I've got a RTX 3060 AERO except mine isn't a TI version and it has 12G of ram and oddly (to me) only 1 8 pin connector that kinda has me paranoid since regular 3060's have I believe 1 8 pin and 1 6 pin connector.
I have a rtx 2060 in my lenovo c5-14imb05 ideacentre type 90r7 this gpu is better than the 2060 correct? But I think my next problem is a psu though. I think it has a 380 watt ,I'm not sure if just any psu would fit in it. The other components in my pc are fine I believe. Thanks for videos I see you gave put the work in and it shows👍
As far as I know this card has been launched on japan amazon and china market. It's pretty easy to get here in Asia around 700 usd. If u in state maybe try japan amazon and ship to US. But there's a white single fan 3060ti from colorful just launched and it seems the fan can stop when idle. I'm considering to get that one.
Hi there, could you share a link of your Afterburner settings? I have the same graphics card from MSI MPG Trident 3 12TC-016. That 4% undervolt would be really helpful
7:18 I had this exact same problem with my metalfish S3 case, the pannel would touch the GPU and block the fan from spinning, the PC would turn off while gaming because the gpu was too hot.
this card seems to be very rare hard to find and very expensive one. asus pheonix 3060 seems to be around 380usd/510cad. or asus 3060ti mini(200mm card) another option
This has to be the smallest high end gaming PC I've seen. Only way I can see you getting it smaller is with a Asrock X300 AM4 motherboard, which should allow you to shave off 20mm off the height and a couple mm on the height, you can connect the graphics card to the M.2 connector on it, it doesn't affect the performance on a 3060 Ti.
For noise, I have no clue, but the fan is very closed to panel so turbulence is unavoidable unfortunately. I don't think temp can be improved but it is just a guess.
Great video, you should adjust your fan curve to let the card go to 80C, it really won't matter for the cards lifespan, and you won't wear out the cards fan nearly as much.
Do you have any footage of the old games running the 2070 to compare to the 3060ti? I know its about a 15% performance difference but I'm stuck between the two.. Benefit is I can at least get the passive income from the 2070 while not gaming etc...
I don't have, but with 2070 in RDR2, I need to enable Triple Buffering with some settings at Medium to get 60fps. 3060 Ti, DLSS + Triple Buffering are off, all settings are High, at 1080p I can run the game at 60fps. It is a much stronger card
is it worth it for me to upgrade now? i have msi aero 1070 oc inside a case similar in size to the k39. prices are a little steep still and im wondering if i get enough bang for the buck for it to be worth it. I could could easily wait til something more powerful comes out, but im kind of scared they will discontinue the aero line due to production issues or corona.
With the current market, even normal size RTX cards are jacked up in price, let alone single-fan variants. You can also take a look at the PNY RTX 3060, which can be available at BestBuy, it will have similar performance of a 2070 & be a big upgrade from the 1070.

I have mine but my fan is 95mm are you about that (100mm)? since stock fan perfect fitted in the shroud and i do not see the way that 100mm fan can fit in the shroud.
What I did was measuring the diameter of the ring on the hole of the GPU shroud instead of just the fan diameter (95mm as you said) which came out ~100mm. If we only measure the fan diameter, then a 120mm or a 92mm PC fan will always be less than its specification, you can try measuring that. So I think there is no right or wrong answer about it, I just follow the measurement of fan makers :D

my only concern is this fan can handle long hours of gaming without breaking it or as im playing valorant for 4 hours and temp is 74 to 76 degrees and its getting a bit fan noise when spinning hard are they normal… even its new

~75°c is actually really good!
I've seen a normal 3060 running over 80°c in rdr2.
80C is when the card starts slowing down. The temp is stuck at 80C but the clock speed will be lower.
