Looks like a foreign land perhaps on a foreign planet, yet so magical & so mystic. Liz you really give this land a beautiful soft, gentle voice to this journey you & Charlie are taking.
Wow! That really was magical. With Liz's soft voice, telling us the beautiful story of this beautiful and magical land. And Charlie's magnificent photography and videography, to perfectly accentuate Liz's beautiful tale. And the awesome story of old mans cave, and the grotto of fairies, it was just so beautifully highlighted. What a marvelous and magical place. So silent except for the sound of the water. How beautiful it must be in summer when all of the leaves that now lay on the ground, would be green and adorning the trees all around! It would look even more like a magical fairy garden then. And the water reflecting the beautiful leaves back at the sky. What a beautiful, magical, peaceful, and serene place. Its no wonder the natives that made these caves their home, did so. Thank you both for taking us along and the storytime education of all these fabulous places, that without you two, i would never get to see or even know about! Thank you! Oh and there was a small hiccup with the audio for a couple seconds. I dont know if it was just my tv or the video. Did anybody else have a problem?
Wow, thank you so much Lisa. We really wanted people to feel what we felt there and by the comments I think it worked. It means so much that we can bring our friends along like this. We feel very fortunate to do so. Not sure on the audio. We'll have to do another watch through. Thanks for the heads up! Have an awesome day.
Did you guys join a movie set? It almost doesn't look real! Haha! Amazing trail, and the history.. Again the historical segment, fantastic. So wast and intriguing histories behind so many of the places you guys visit. Maybe I have to buy some historical books from my town too 😅🤔
Haha, yeah this place is magical.. We'd eat up every word of it. Take a look at your library. Most likely they have an entire room dedicated to local history.
One more comment- in the video, I saw tree roots intertwined with each other that looked like they came from two separate tree trunks- this reminded me of a loving couple that are linking arms and holding hands tightly to support each other through the monumental geological changes over the decades. Loved this part of the video!
Oh yeah, we love hocking Hill, so maybe cool trails and waterfalls there, beautiful hiking through the hills, boulders and trees! So much history here, plus so many cool sites and nature's true beauty! It's been a few years since we went here, so it's nice to revisit it with the two of you, how cool! Thanks Liz for the information! Love the reflection in the water as you were walking Liz! I like how they creates some walk ways and bridges out there. Still one of the best hikes we ever went on! So peaceful, awesome video, this one is special, well done! Love the detail in that leaf! I can't lie, I like it when you film each other, and you can see you both really enjoying your passion and life! It's amazing, this place, so beautiful, I can only imagine what it was like back in the day, for the natives and even way before them! I enjoyed the panning views going a crossed the forest! I miss this heavenly place, so cool and exciting. Definitely a spiritual area. You can feel the energy through the video. I love it here, thanks for this! The water here is breathtaking! Well said, enchanted landscape!
Before going there we had no idea what we were in for. We'd seen photos but it just blew us away experiencing the feeling of being there. We're told in the winter when the waterfalls freeze and it gets all frosty around is extra magical. Glad the public display of affection didn't scare people away. I guess we're getting more and more comfortable. It's taken some time to get used to the camera. Thanks a lot for watching Nic!
Super sweet location! That is definitely a spooky place to explore alone. Very magical and timeless to say the least. As always great narrating and storytelling Liz!! Great video!!!
It’s Sunday morning, Ray and I are drinking our coffee and watching your video on TV (so grateful we have a big screen TV for this video- we felt like we were truly with you guys this morning- hiking through this magical place. We’ve never heard of Hocking Hills State Park before today. This video perfectly combined Liz’s amazing narration, sparking our imaginations, and Charlie’s incredibly beautiful photography! We’re grateful to begin our day with such positive, and peaceful energy, filled with thoughts of the beauty Mother Nature’s blessings. We also appreciate learning the history and geology behind the places in your adventures. Safe travels! We’ll see you on Wed!
We love your coffee tradition with us. You guys are the best! Thank you for that and all the nice things you say too. It always makes our day. This place gave us a lot to talk about and we really wanted others to feel what it made us feel. Glad that translated.
What an amazingly beautiful video! This park is a magical place, and you have captured that mystery completely, while treating viewers with the gorgeous scenery the site offers! So stunned that you guys seemed to have the place all to yourselves that day! There are many unknown places that are ripe for exploration, if we just take the time and show the interest to stop, look, listen, smell, and simply read the signs of nature. You are blessed with your capabilities to indulge in your curiosities, and we are blessed to have you present your experiences so profoundly! Many, many thanks!
Thank you so much. That was really nice of you to say. We do feel so lucky to be able to do this. It took 10 years of doubt before pulling the trigger. No regrets now. Oh and we got lucky on going here on a slower day. We passed maybe 2 other couples the whole time.
captivating, mesmerizing, fascinating, enchanting. seriously you two, this has got to be my most favourite video you’ve put forward to date! simply magical! thank you so much for bringing us along on this adventure. thank you!
Wow! Thanks Greg. We're so glad everyone is loving this one. It's a really neat place that definitely has a feel to it. We really wanted people watching to feel that too.
This is such a beautiful State Park with so much history ⛰I love the history and the stories yous shared with us ! I love the way they added stairs, bridges and access to some of the caves to go through :) Such a magical place that I would love to visit some day. I could spend all day there. Thank You for the awesome adventure 😊
This is how saw the earth at its most wild state when I was a child in 1940s eastern WAshington. How so peaceful & blissful. I will watch this one video again. Thankyou both for this awesome video.
Nice , thats some cool artifacts , and fossils . that bridge at 5:00 was really cool cant believe yall didnt get me a better picture of that 😃yall didnt see any ghost or fairy's i would have started a fire and waited for him thats 1M+ views , what happened with the last two minutes was that the ghost did i miss it , the ghost was a crow what what , lol thanks for sharing
There's bound to be ghosts if you look hard enough. I mean where did that light in the tunnel come from? 🤣 Yeah that bridge needed to be celebrated a bit more but we were too excited to see what was around the next corner.
Wow that was a beautiful video! Great job. With the beautiful and serene landscape and listening to Liz, the video really submersed you back in time and to a land that felt and looked magical. Thank you for bringing us to see this wonderful place.
@@TheAdventureCloset we need to start making a list of all the haunted places you’ve been so when we can travel again we can go see some cool places! Then you guys can join us and be our guide 😀
Cool park! I really like how Liz narrated this one. Great job Liz! This kind of reminded me of the spot I was at yesterday rockhounding. I was at a new spot and found a spot in the bedrock of the creek that was covered in lace agate and you could see the structure of the stromatolite fossil it formed in. It was really magical seeing this ancient agatized fossil just beneath the surface of the water probably looking very similar to what it did over 400 million years ago when the stromatolite was alive! Working on that video today... not sure when I'll be able to clean my finds to finish it but whatever lol. Safe travels guys! Finding rocks is cool but I love seeing large scale formations like this also. Keep em' comin!
Thanks Dustin! There's so many stories to be told in geology. Especially in the big ones you can't fit in the car. 🤣 We're looking forward to your video. That sounds amazing. It's really cool to see the world for how it's made.
That park is beautiful , and the cave ... I instantly wanted to stay there , then you told the story and now I REALLY !! want to stay there ... Not saying I believe in ghost , but also not saying I don't believe in ghost. Great adventure you guys ... I have to go there and hike for sure now
You always gotta keep your mind open with wonder. It's the spice of life. You'd love it up there too. There's so much to see and we always assumed Ohio was boring.
This has to be one of your guys best videos. Just loved the narrative by Liz! Stunning views, awesome geology. Enjoyed hearing the subtle sounds of nature, too. All the lore is very interesting. This one is definitely going to be a place I add to my bucket list. We have a place in Wisconsin that is strikingly similar, called Governor Dodge State Park. That is a place that looks like it would be great anytime of year to visit. Thank you for sharing your guys awesome adventure! Bye now 👋 🙂
Well thank you! We really wanted this one to shine. Hope you get out there. I'd give yourself like 3 days to see it all. We stayed 2 days and left a couple things behind. Would be a great roadtrip from WI. We're gonna have to see the park you mentioned. Wonder if the Wisconsin Glacier formed that one too?
@The Adventure Closet It's in the Driftless Region of Wisconsin. It's called thus because it was untouched by the glaciers. But, a lot of the glacial runoff did affect the surrounding land.
Super jealous! This has been on Karen's bucket list for some time! Looks like a wonderful area to visit! Love this! Thanks for the information and the great visuals!
Oh, Hocking Hills has been on our list for a while now. Magical is the word I have used for it from the photos and videos I have seen. You two got it right...the music...the scenes...the narration... just beautiful! It looks to be a pretty busy place, but you had it more to yourselves. What time of year were y'all there?
It is just as magical as you imagine. This was filmed about 2 months ago. Saw about 2 other couples. We did wait out a church group before entering though.. Thank you so much. We put a lot of heart into this one.
We Just explored yesterday after being called there by some force... I had no prior knowledge of the place other than "pretty waterfalls" I was in awe at all the faces and history trapped in the stone and how they let ppl scrub over such a story. Did you notice the chief carved into the wall inside the rock house? There is Thousands of faces in the walls, skulls, Indians, Aztec looking carvings, pilgrim, and the faces have faces and it looks so different at different angles, I noticed so much that nobody ever mentioned.
What a sweet story! It’s a shame they moved the old man and dogs corpse. I am sure he went to that place to die and keep it his resting place. Very cool place and story!
It is sad. What a r esting place it would be too. There's so many stories of this area we couldn't fit into the video. More to come in the next few episodes though. Thank you for watching!
Im from this area. The town of Nelsonville about 12 miles south. There are a lot of unknown things that r n these hills. If u don't believe n Bigfoot go camping somewhere near ash cave. I promise u will become a believer.
