I actually enjoyed the sound in the iPhone when it was at the beach. It’s actually a little weird not to hear waves and peoples voices on a busy beach.

The demo at 6:17 the mic audio is only heard on left channel. What did you set it at, Stereo or Mono? Is there an app associat3ed with using this that requires net/data connection?

@Young360 - does the passthrough charging only charge the phone, or does it charge the receiver as well? I plan on using this for my laptop, as I want to replace my wired microphone. If I can keep the receiver charged by having a charging cable plugged into it, then theoretically I shouldn't ever need to unplug the receiver just to charge it. As for the transmitter, I can use it without wires and can pop it back into the case to charge when I need to. Since I have 2 transmitters, it should mean that charging wouldn't be much of a problem. But it would be great if you could confirm whether the receiver can be charged while it's in use. Same goes for the transmitter please, as I noticed they all have a USB-C port.

Just a heads up 6:07 time stamp footage is in Left Channel Only when you recorded this. I'm using my headphones and it's coming through only on left channel. What mode are you in?

I think noise reduction is still artificial but for getting better sound in loud places, I need to spend at least triple times.
So I decided to buy this and using it.

i personally think noise reduction is not so necessary unless you are in a very very noisy place. the mic in standard default mode is already excellent (if not better haha)

I do have the DJI MIC...but this was a great review. I also tried the Hollyland Lark C1 which is the same as this, but this is a lot cheaper with more accessories. You showed all the things for viewers to know. This was awesome.

It's a shame they decided to plaster their giant stupid logo on the mics. They should've put it on the receiver only.

Amazing Wireless mic. Even to the highest mic Gains the sounds does not sound peaking. Really Good mics.
I wish Boya would have allowed one of the transmitters to record stereo. I just don't like how flat the mono recording sounds. Is it Rode that has mic receiver audio, which is nice because that adds 'depth' to the recording. I've a few of these, but have to admit that I find it more useful to use my Action 2 to record my audio
The voice is mono ... It's best to record it that way.

I almost like these but there is a sound quality issue where it renders peoples voices to sound slightly mechanical and like an old blue tooth phone call.

How to disable headset mode on S23 ultra while inserting the boyalink? It’s a hassle for me and I don’t have a problem with my iphone.

Is there a connector for a lav mic too? Is there a place to see which level the transmitter & receiver are at when a sound gain or decrease is implemented? If so, is there memory or does that gain or reduction have to be done each time?

frustrated. I went ahead and bought this mic after watching your review but having problems getting it to work on my huawei mate 20 phone. it gets detected as a wired headset not a microphone. hope there would be a workaround this. 😢

@@kymsohi6849 yes. found out how to work around it. I should not have any other earphone connected to my phone even thru bluetooth for the phone to record audio from the BoYA microphone otherwise, my phone would record audio from my bluetooth earphones rather than thru the external mic.
What type of connection do you use?

I caught on to your "line-of-sight" performance requirement by watching another video review where he turned his back to the receiver and the reception immediately cut off. I am curious if this is a consistent problem with microphones in this class. All such review with mics of this type have been done to date only facing the receiver which is not a fair performance test.

I just asked Boya Official Store at Lazada. The seller said, "If you have an audio adapter corresponding to the device and the adapter has a 3.5mm TRS microphone input, then you can use it for the Insta360 X3. "

yeah, just plug then the phone knows it has a usb mic on. once you press your camera button or voice recording button, the phone will tell you, it is recording via usb mic

Awesome although I didn’t hear the price? Listening in shower so may have missed. The other thing that is disappointing is the mice are mono and not each in stereo. Don’t want to have to hook up to mics. And I don’t know many ppl that ever record in mono as hq audio is a must have

In your video at 8:36’is shows having to use both mics which is rather pointless. So many one mic stereo options if that’s the case
@@EyeCanShootFL when you just have 1 mic on stereo mode, you are just gonna hear that 1 mic on just one side of ears. so, in that sense, yes, you can alsp enjoy stereo when only 1 mic is connected

depends. if you are in the quietest of the room and have the best flagship phones, why not first try with your phone first? for example, i do find that my S23 Ultra records sounds VERY WELL :)
Mic is better needed if you are in noisier place and you need to record your voice very well. Also, it is useful if you need to move around, or in outdoor in windy area as you can make sure to have the mic right by your lips
@@Young360 i also have S22 ultra but I don't get good quality sound in recording my song. Since I have to shoot my video keeping my phone some 2/3 metres to get my pics...thank you
then these wireless mic would help alot! make sure to have the mic as close to you as poss. (and i personally prefer standard mode rather than noise cancellation mode)
