    Personally speaking dissecting frogs in school never bothered me, well at least not the dissecting part of it, but whatever chemical they used to preserve the frogs in was rancid as all hell and always made me gag, since it was one of those smells you could taste when you smelled it. I do remember every time the dissections were done, that chemical smell would linger throughout the hallway for at least a week or more and you could smell it in every room in that part of the building, I recall almost everybody avoiding that part of the school unless they had to be there until the smell went away.

    If you think almond cashew cheese takes "a million gallons of water" to produce, you should see how much water it takes to raise cattle.

    • @HypnoticChronic1
      @HypnoticChronic1 12 дней назад +7

      A single almond tree takes 3.2 gallons, while cattle takes 3.5 gallons per day to sustain in ideal conditions. Additionally cattle also gain water from consumption of plant matter and can be sustained in less than ideal environmental conditions e.g. cold weather, which is detrimental to vegetation specifically for almonds anything below 45 degrees often cause bud break. Moreover, cattle can be moved should conditions turn foul the same cannot be said for almonds, also when it comes to products either provides cattle provide milk, meat, leather and depending on breed horns all of which have use, conversely almonds only provide the nut and nothing else.
      Finally when we look at the overall input of water, when it comes to almonds you are looking at several hundred trees per plantation roughly around 130 per acre, conversely you are looking between 25-100 heads per ranch with cattle. Suffice to say when it comes to overall water consumption almonds consume more on net than cattle do per annum, thus the return on investment is in cattle's favor.

      @HypnoticChronic1 "almonds tho"
      You realize vegans make up like 1% of the population.. why are you blaming them for almonds? Most almond consumption is from people that also eat meat. Hell, I don't even drink almond milk because it doesn't have that much nutrition.. I prefer soy
      No rational person thinks that cattle farming is sustainable btw.. it seems like you can only paint it that way by comparing it to almonds? But like, almonds aren't responsible for all of the deforestation in the amazon... beef is

      @ Who said I was blaming vegans, I did not even mention them a single time, why are you lying and making things up? I was arguing solely the return on investment in regards to water between almond and cattle the whole time, but I do appreciate you clarifying you are a soy boy even tho it was rather apparent and since you brought up the deforestation of the Amazon, fun fact for you its soy bean farms which is Brazil's (the nation that holds the most territory in the Amazon and worlds 2nd largest soy producer) single largest agricultural export that is responsible for that not cattle.
      All of Brazil's cattle ranches are located primarily in two areas of the nation the South Region (the states of Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina) and the Southeast Region (the states of Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo) with the sole outlier being the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, which directly borders the other two regions which is in the Central-West Region, as they are climatically ideal for ranching, neither of which remotely touch the Amazon, as it is much farther north.
      Conversely, the state of Mato Grosso has Brazil's largest concentration of soy bean farms accounting for 83% of that states exports and 26% of Brazil's overall production, with the states of Goiás (49% of state exports), Tocantins, Pará, Rondônia, Maranhão, Piauí and Bahia making up the remainder, many of those states are either located directly in and/or directly adjacent to the Amazon.
      That said thank you helping contribute to the destruction of the Amazon via your continual purchase of soy products, maybe if you ingested more beef which has B12, a vitamin that can only comes from animal products and a lack of which has proven to be a cause of ones decreased ability to think, confusion and memory loss rather than ingesting soy products. Maybe you wouldn't have such asinine takes on the world and incredibly weak arguments wouldn't be able to be proven factual wrong at every turn, so ruminate on that for awhile why don't you. Good day.

      @HypnoticChronic1 Wait until you realize most soy is used as cattle feed lmao
      Also B12 is not "only found in meat". They come from bacteria and there are ample supplements that can provide you with the nutrient.
      Your lot just love spreading misinformation
