References in the Knuckles Series

- The live-action Sonic universe loves to sneak in little easter eggs and references from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise and the Knuckles series has quite a few Sonic easter eggs and references to spot. This video showcases some of the easter eggs I was able to at least find on my own. If there are any Sonic references I missed in the video, let me know in the comments.

Hey everyone, thanks for mentioning any references and easter eggs that were missed in the video, I will keep note of that. Also, apologies for mistaking Emerald Hill Zone for Angel Island. I wasn't quite sure, but I will make the correction.
I believe the confusion was from the mini-series using the Emerald Hill Loop rather than the loop used on Angel Island Zone, despite the rest of the background not being Emerald Hill.
The fact that Knuckles knows the movie Mall Cop demonstrates how familiar he is with movies thanks to Sonic.
I bet Sonic, Tails & Knuckles watch a lot of family movies together
Knuckles: “This Idris Elba is would make a fine warrior in the movies.”
Who would've thought that a couple of Sonic06 references would come in handy? But this looks great. They chose the right ones.
Ep 4 The Flames of Disaster was literally referencing Sonic 06, that's pretty cool

One very subtle Easter egg people are missing is how knuckles is sitting against the tree in ep. 1 while eating the Doritos. Looks very similar to how he’s chilling in the opening scene of his story in S&K.
All that's missing is animals frolicking.

Another reference people missed that the mech the buyer used looks like the mechs GUN uses in SA2. Also in the show they mention the existence of bounty hunters.
Which could apply to Knuckles or Rouge as well

Yes, that's true. I thought I would sneak that one in because for Sonic fans when we think of Metropolis, we would think of Sonic 2 but yeah this wasn't a direct reference or easter egg just something subtle.

You forgot a reference when in that one scene when wade asks knuckles to call him then he started saying nicknames of him and one of them was sir knucksalot which is a reference to sonic and the black knight because knuckles is called sir lancelot in that game
In SatBK, Sir Lancelot is Shadow, Knuckles is Sir Gawain. The Knucksalot name sounds more like a reference to the rapper Sir Mix-alot, which was a reference to Sir Lancelot in Arthurian Myth
I didn't catch that. That was a cheeky easter egg, I will keep note of that.
So in this adaptation, Iblis is a monster from another planet/world/dimension, and Knuckles defeated him with his own strenght gaining control over the Flames of Disaster.
This show made me notice how OP the characters are in comparison to their game counterparts (same goes for items like the rings and emeralds)
Yeah pretty much that's the story of Knuckles going on a quest to defeat Iblis and earn his power.

You missed two. In the first episode where Knuckles throws a G.U.N. soldier into an arcade cabinet, next to the destroyed one, you can see a TMNT game. Wade also has TMNT bedsheets and a pilowcase (at his mom’s house) and even a TMNT shirt!
I catched that. I only focused on the Sonic references but this show does also reference other things
When Wade is freeing Knuckles from the prison in episode 2, Knuckles says "oh no", which is also the meme from the Sonic adventure 1 (idk if it's intentional)

My favorite part is the HD cuts of the series to some low settings on a jank computer and I just thought. "Look at this youtuber making it work no matter what."

The Flames of Disaster is also an actual thing from Sonic. It's what Iblis was reffered to as when it was sealed inside of Elise.
the Pachacamac in the series and the one in the games ARE NOT THE SAME.
The original Pachacámac comes from SA1, of course it's not the same one we see in the series, that's like saying this Knuckles is the same from either the games or cartoons, he's obviously not.
@@xBlaster of course mr. obvious,its a different universe,what im saying is that Pachacamac in SA1 was portrayed as a man with hunger for war,not thinking about the consequences of his action,wich led to their race being erradicated.
Meanwhile in the series pachacamac is a protrayed as a very cool guy,and sort of "father"/mentor of knuckles

The fact that they mentioned the flames of disaster and iblis shows himself, could mean that silver and blaze COULD be a possibility in sonic 4
Just think, Silver could've given Iblis access to the computer room and it all would've gone much better, apparently...
