Very composed on the ball. His reverse pass with his left leg is, to borrow from Pythagoras, Anti-Wan Bissaka. His deficiency in 1v1 or rather Dalot's superiority in that aspect was probably what prompted Ten Hag to use him as RB and Dalot as LB. Because Adama looks like the kind of player that would have given him a torrid time.
@@davidublin the player we actually need on that wing is the Prodigal son who shall not be named because he committed the unpardonable sin. A true threat with end product to spare.
Great content! Would like to have an analysis on Diogo Dalot halfway or at the end of the season as I think he's emerging into one of the best fullbacks in the premier league!
What Mazaroui sounds like is the perfect defensive midfielder. He seems to possess all the attributes necessary for a 6. His positional awareness is good. His long passing and press resistance is standout. He is relatively quick enough to cover ground over shorter distances. He is good at reading and intercepting the play. He is 2 footed and decent in the air. Meanwhile his crossing is not the best, his 1v1 defending isnt great. He lacks physicality. He is not exactly a goal threat. All of this indicates that he might excel as a defensive midfielder. Maybe when Shaw comes back, we could use him as a sole 6.
it's not that simple, he's not a midfielder, he doesn't have a midfielder s positioning, positioning is one of the most important things for a 6, you can't just play anyone as a sole 6
Not overly surprised with the rating. At 26 though, how much more development do you think he can achieve as he already seems like the finished product?
mazraoui is a better 1v1 defender than dalot. Dalot struggles against any average dribbler...oscar bob was turning him inside out. mcatee too. dalot isn't that good 1v1
At Bayern München I thought he was way too offensive minded. Talented..but just not on par with previous heavyweight players on his position at Bayern München. Willy Sagnol was defensively levels above him. Stefan Reuter was tactically better...better flanking technique.... Joshua Kimmich is a central midfielder but still I would ALWAYS prefer him over Mazraoui. Philip Lahm was one of the best no matter where he played....but again....a player that did better than Mazraoui at the same Club. Jorginho was technically better, defensively better.... literally every defensive right back we ever had was better than Mazraoui. And that's the problem. He wasn't bad....but he wasn't good enough to make a lasting mark - and that's truthfully the reason he was let go.

What a performance from him v fulham 👏
What did he do?
@@hanzosiku solid both offensively and defensively
@@hanzosiku Was calm on the ball and made good passes
@@hanzosiku great defensively, positionally, don’t think he lost possession more than once the whole game, and overall just so composed
@@tmbteuclid he was just okay. Apart from a few long balls he was not that good offensively. Just okay.
He is playing amazing so far, so calm on the ball
that double voice at the end was a cool effect
pretty sure its a mistake
hhhhhhhhhhh that was mistake my guy
Shout out to Leon Bailey . Im happy to see that he’s being recognized as the really tricky winger he’s been for so long now
Reeeeeel bad man 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
@@mm2801 😂😂
Dalot performing consistently well In the metrics
thats the point of dalot he can do everything u need of a fullback and hes consistent
Well he was consistently good last season, probably top 3 performers for utd
Mazraoui is a smart player
Very solid debut.
Played really well today against Fulham! Another great video.
Much appreciated

dalot is really good when he is attacking. dalot's overlapping, underlapping and inverting in midfield runs are sharp enough to harm opponents.
This analysis just proved to me what a top player Malo Gusto is.
Has some weaknesses but top potential
Yes he’s so underrated rn top 3 RB in the world soon
He was top 3 RB in PL last season along with Ben white & Dalot.

Would have taken Adama at united

He absolutely balled out 😂
Maz had a motm debut
Moroccan Denis Irwin is a phrase I never imagined I'd read
Then irwin is irish mazraoui 😂
Denis Irwin was a LB, Mazraoui is predominantly a RB that has played a few games at LB. So the comparison doesn't really make sense.
