This is NOT a review, it is a sales pitch for the car. We need to have your feelings after driving the vehicle which, as a motoring journalist, you should have done. How is one supposed to form an impression prior to contemplating a purchase of the vehicle if you haven’t bothered to drive it?
No comparison with Mini. This is an Italian design which if you’re not familiar with tries to emulate the original Fiat 500/600 of the 60’s which would be classified as micro-cars by today’s standards. So this is a retro design which in my opinion stays truest to its roots (particularly the cabrio option with its operation) more than the Mini or VW Beetle. Don’t get me wrong, the modern Mini is a great car but has lost most of its original heritage in translation. This Fiat is an absolutely brilliant design embracing styling cues from the 60’s and is really fun to drive managing to connect the driver with the road in a way that most modern day saloons fail to do. It’s not for everyone but it’s a gorgeous little car.
