You are an absolute gem - I've been trying to source the glass contour paint with no success in Australia as well as the nozzles to pipe them with. Your two videos I have watched time and again, and they are an answer to my prayers. Thank you so much I will use both ideas.
Was resistant to piping. As I could not find reasonably priced Gallery Glass Liquid Leading here in Canada, I made outliner using your sealant/acrylic paint recipe. I then made and used the diy piping bag and am now a convert! Much easier than squeeze bottle.
../practices making piping bags. Gnashes teeth. Gets the hang of it and tries some linework on a tile. Beautiful lines!!! Ty so much for this video. Also I wanted to mention that I am now using a product called Puffy paint made by a company called Tulip. It comes in a variety of colours including black, sliver, gold and a rainbow of other colours. It mimics cerne relief and is almost exactly the same as Gallary glass outline. I can't buy Gallary glass anywhere here other than online but I can get Tulip puffy paint in any Michael's store. Cheers from Canada :)
Well I'm glad the piping bag helped! Thank you for the information about the Puffy Paint. Someone else did mention it a few months ago but I never followed it up. I've just ordered a black and gold on Amazon so I will be able to give it a go next week. (Can I just ask which paints you use with it?).
@@GlassPainting I usually use Pebeo Vitrail paints. You can't get Gallery Glass paints here anywhere sadly, other than ordering them online. I like the vibrant colours of Pebeo but find they don't match what their labels say. By that I mean all the colours are very dark. But after watching many of your videos I really want to give Gallery glass a try 🙂
I like the Pebeo paints a lot, probably my favourite at the moment. Like you I do find a couple of the colours too dark ( for flood filling anyway) but I always create lightened versions of the dark ones using the clear/lightening agent. The Gallery Glass outliner is great but I'm not so keen on their paints. It's a much thicker waterbased paint. Great for pipe and peel work but not so good for flood fill and it isn't as transparent. Anyway, let see how we go with the Puffy Paint as an outliner :-)
It's called either parchment paper (USA) or greaseproof paper (UK). Not to be confused with what we call parchment paper in the UK! It's the type of paper you would use for cake piping or lining a cake tin.
Thanks so much for this. I am in the middle of (hopefully) making some large Christmas window decorations. I have done a few on a practice run but, although I do have a fairly steady hand, I have had a few wobbles on some much larger designs and was wondering whether you had any advice on how to avoid this or on how to correct any mistakes? Really appreciate any advice you could give me
Sorry for the delay in responding. Quite often I go through the outlining more than once. e.g. Do it the first time, leave it to dry and then go through it and cut out any bits I'm unhappy with and pipe them again. I find it's worth spending this extra time. If you can get the outlining "right" then the painting is fairly easy. If the outlining is "wrong" then it doesn't really matter how well you paint it, it will still look wrong! Thanks for the great videos, they gave me inspiration to start glass painting. Can you tell me where I can buy the solid paint brushes from, I can’t seem to find them anywhere. TIA
Never used an air brush for glass painting but I don't see why it shouldn't be possible using any air brush as long as you can get the paint to the correct consistency. A company called Plasikote do produce a glass paint in spray cans but I don't know it it is available in your country. www.rapidonline.com/plastikote-stained-glass-sprays-200ml-553959
Loved this..

I actually haven't done any projects with Puffy paint. I just bought some yesterday and will start my first project today using the new piping bags🙂

@@GlassPainting Hi again is there any particular size and shape for these you recommend? Thanks
I use a Taper point, number 2, firm. Had the same one of over 10 years and find it great for "flood fill" work.
Glass Painting thanks for your help. I’ll have a search around and see what I can find. Cheers
Does exist some sort of air brushes which i can use for vitrage paintings?
