Absolutely stunning!! I agree with adding lounge downstairs and opening up downstairs bathroom… plenty of room elsewhere for laundry!! The beautiful roadwork is also stunning 😂
Questa casa è esattamente quello che stiamo cercando! In centro città ma con una vista dei campi, del verde. Sigh. 😔 non vedo l’ora di abitare in bella italia!🇮🇹
Painting, renovation with the associated plumbing and electrical are related costs for most of these type of properties. For the bargain price you get with these magnificent views it seems well worth it. Trying to estimate the percentage extra costs, whether an extra quarter/third/half or more, not easy from the videos. How far to get to a train station linking up with overall network also needs to be factored in. But it is not hard to become enchanted with all these towns, their history and cultural way of life. Presumably Palambaro has most everyday type facilities within access. The elevated views to the sea absolutely spectacular - from so many rooms.
Amazing property and you always have the best delivery. ❤️ And with bonus calico cameo too. 😻 You just can’t get better than this. And I think ending the tour with church bells is just perfect. So quaint and tranquil. Thank you for another wonderful video. ❤️
What a beautiful house! I would move right in and live in it and enjoy it. Then if I thought anything needed changing, it could be done. The house has probably already been snapped up by some lucky people. A bargain for such stunning views.
Yes, having my coffee. Wonderful location and nice property especially for the price. Thank you for the history lesson as well. Have a nice weekend ahead.
I have just found your channel - and I am so glad I did! This is the first video I have watched of yours, but I instantly subscribed & I am about to go check out some of your other videos - thank you for sharing!! This property is amazing! Love it, and I love the town too.
It's definitely a stunner! I adore the traditional tiles, as well as the antique light fixtures - Italians do such magical things with glass. I love to cook, so I would make the bedroom/lounge into a comfortable kitchen and also create a summer kitchen on the lower floor, having a masonry bread oven built next to the fireplace. The garden can be a stunning little slice of paradise, it really makes this home a winner.
Same in the South UK. Add to that the self important people, egos and day to day nonsense. Having been to Alghero and spending time with local Italians , far more friendly, family values etc.
Well, since you asked, I would use one of those lower rooms as a cat house, mine and others - all are welcome. It would be climate controlled with lots of beds and play places, and have access to the garden, which I would enclose with cat safe fence. Do you think a bank would finance $90k US? Would I need to get a US bank loan or an Italian bank loan?
I honestly would not want to walk into a house that someone else has renovated! I saw such potential here and that’s exactly my kind of house! I could picture what renovations I would make. Some people prefer newly renovated and that is their personal preference, but for me give me an old house with character I can restore!
Love it. I doubt that wall between the kichen and (now) bedroom could come down. That sucker looks THICK. Definately extend the kitchen to take advantage of that huge space. Large dining table. That fireplace!!! If the radiator in the downstairs bedroom could be moved, that could definitely be a great lounge. Yes, open up downstairs bath a bit for bigger shower and put laundry in the first basement room (the one that already has water). Lovely built-in wardrobe in that awkward space on the 1st floor. Seems like there is room to extend that upstairs bathroom a bit to accomodate a double sink. The extra room by the garden seems like a decent space for overflow accomodations. Of course, I'd move in right now the way it is!! That garden could be magical. Is the Nextdoor "garden" actually a garden or is that a buildable lot?
A fascinating house I’m going to recommend it to a few friends. With this particular property with the gardens and the views ,I would love if David could indicate where the Sun comes from and perhaps even in north south east and westerly directions.
That surprise downstairs room would be a great place for a little exercise studio on one side and a crafting/artist area on the other. I agree that the kitchen area could be turned into a gourmet kitchen with an island and modest dining table. The downstairs bedroom could become the lounge. So much potential.
Interesting house for a good price and in a great location, it seems. The street looked quite nice and well kept. I'D think if you wanted privacy an inner city townhouse wouldn't appeal to you anyway. Id figure out how to use that smaller room for the lounge. Maybe it could be opened up a bit more??? I'd personally want the kitchen much longer and an island probably, so there was some prep space. I don't know how one cooks is such a tiny space. It appears that I don't use the kitchen dining space the same way Italians do. ( an American thing) It had a garage, all be it across the street, but at least your car is in out of the weather and close. I would have to make extra accommodation out of that extra room. If I moved to Italy, Id have constant visitors. when we lived in Colorado people were always showing up to visit." Were thinking of coming to Colorado, could we drop by for a week?". And I loved the fact that it had a space for a small work shop. The house could use a bit more architectural detail is my only real issue with it. but I do have an architect son. we might be able to fix that to some extent. Would the location win me over? maybe. I'd have to be there. IT was a nice walk through. I always enjoy your comments about possibilities, don't ever stop. It's fun to think about.
I like that kitchen a lot even though pretty traditional. Looks clean. Just love the beams in there!!!! Like that the balcony off the kitchen is deeper to more easily have a table & 2 chairs.
I am amazed at how tidy and clean all of this towns are. I am amazed at the prices compared to the USA, and I live in the south where property is generally less expensive. I do have questions, though. One concern I would have is all the steps and narrow doorways. I have mobility issues. I'm not yet in a wheelchair, but will be. Stairs are an issue. Chair lift on wide stairways could work, but most are too narrow and steep. I'm just dreaming, but would still like to know .
Wonderful tour, amazing property - and would thoroughly enjoy getting to know you as a neighbor over wine or scotch. I would keep the lower level as storage area - plenty of room on the upper two floors. Agree that I would take the bedroom on the main floor and return it to the living room and make a fantastic kitchen on the other side with a fantastic large dining table looking out the balcony doors. Thanks again! Mike in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
Dave, I would love to be your neighbor. I'd invite you over for cake and coffee in the afternoon and beg to traipse after you on your property tours. Domenico can teach me how to hide lol. This property is fantastic and would change very little. New kitchen, bathroom updates, some cosmetic stuff to make it my own. Eventually turn the downstairs bonus rooms into an independent apartment. Would love to get my hands on the garden, that tree is out of control! All in all I want it.
Flashlight is right in the US! This one is wonderful, Dave. You didn’t mention any of the ceilings so…maybe no tile/brick to be exposed? I do have a question and you’ll think it’s silly. Can you tell me what the stray animal situation is? Dogs. Cats. Do people there spay and neuter or is the feral population huge. Sorry - that’s sort of my kryptonite. 🙄
That’s mine too, and why I won’t expat to Mexico. I have 22 rescue cats and 4 feral communities, so I’m a sucker for every stray on the planet. My understanding is that Italian cats, though free roaming, are well fed. So there’s that.
I found your channel a couple of days ago and have been watching your videos. I love this property and the “basement” rooms have so much potential. I also love this town but need to look at how much the average snowfall is because I am not fond of snow and ice. Cold is okay, but not snow and ice. Thanks for sharing this video.
We get very little snow, maybe few days a year, last year and this winter there has been nothing. Obviously the high mountains get it but we get very little lower down.
I’m patiently waiting for someone to complain about something ridiculous. Too much work, Not done to their exact specifications, No windows in the bathroom, No garage and driveway in a house built in the 1700s, too far from Rome, too isolated, the breathtaking views are not breathtaking enough, not close enough to the Italian Beyoncé…God.
let me start the complaining:) you are the most annoying person here but that is the unimportant part....Now to the important part I need builders to put windows in all bathrooms, no ifs or buts about it....cheeers
UNBELIEVABle Stunning DAVID what a great house....what time of day were you there ? Curious about the garden direction? Why did you not go down into the garden? It's important to those of us who want a bit of green...
In that Garden , you cold sink in Posts and have an low Infinity Deck constructed, cantilevered off those posts to capture hose magic Views, then watch the world go by...Or maybe you're very correct, just go with Low Hedging, cultivate a ''Secret Garden'' with plants and flowers, and just Chill...
I would extend the kitchen, remove the wall between the dinning room/ lounge are and the bedroom to make a big open space and connect the rooms downstairs with a stairs . It can be a nice room with a full bathroom downstairs. This way the house would be 3 bed/ 3 bath .
I would make kitchen into a family room/kitchen/diner. Kitchen does not need to be huge as floor below would keep food cool, can be used to do canning, baking etc. wood store to keep main room cooler. Basement could be studio apartment. Would try to arrange upper floor so the 'lone' bedroom could have an en- suite and make other parts into a beautiful master suite.
I have another dumb question but it occurs to me every time I watch the videos. Can you paint your home/building however you want? Are there color restrictions or requirements? You can tell I’m used to HOAs 😂
Dave, it would be helpful if you share the square footage and the number of bedrooms & bathrooms at the stare, along with a reminder of the asking price....thanks. Eva
If I ever vacation there I might leave it all behind and never go home. Thanks for this video it’s giving me goals. 🎉 Is this property owned free and clear or leasehold?
Coming from the Uk i used to find it strange having washing machines in the bathroom until i listened to Italians saying that they thought it was very atrange to carry dirty washing into a room where you prepare food!!
I’m curious. Are you able to connect us with a property management service? So if we buy because the perfect house is available but we aren’t able to retire work quite yet. It would be great to have a rental then we can use later or seasonally.
@@AhomeinItaly Yes, I have two homes. My hometown, where I was born, and then my home where I currently live. I call them both home. Can get confusing for some people. Home is where your heart is.

Good bone but. There is always a but right. First it would be nice to see the wood pile cleaned and removed and put into that shelter. House need another 100K between new windows floors, kitchen and bathrooms. Then you will have a superb home.
The floors? But did you know that are original and cost a fortune to buy? Then of you believe that to enhance a house you need to install another made floor, you're completely free to do so
Yes. The fact that you live close by IS a selling point! 🤗
I saw this property online and the video makes it look 10 times better! What a bargain!
Incredible property for the money !!! Views are stunning !!!!
I love the church bells when I lived in Rome they became part of a wonderful life
Absolutely stunning!! I agree with adding lounge downstairs and opening up downstairs bathroom… plenty of room elsewhere for laundry!! The beautiful roadwork is also stunning 😂
Surprisingly large property and just perfect with some updating. The garden area is extra special perk.
Absolutely wonderful views, with plenty of space and two bathrooms!
With just a few adjustments to make it your own.
Another great find. Well done Dave.
