I was lucky enough to go & watch the Sharks practice on Tuesday. Let’s just say they weren’t doing what Quinn had worked with them on.

David Quinn is in shock at how bad the Sharks are playing and needs some time to chill and think about way forward with this group of players. I expect more bad play will lead to desperate trades and not an improved team. 'Attitude and effort" are under normal control of players but it can also be compromised by injuries and "freaking" fragility of the human beings who are trying to be pro hockey players. It is a tough life for all in a losing season breaking bad records but it still comes down to what Quinn said games ago: staff and individual player "mental fortitude." This is testing the coaches for sure, but don't forget this Sharks team identity is Mike Grier's responsibility. So I hope he hires more developmental help such as Joe Thornton to school players in attitude, and remains patient enough to keep the best players in this group developing in right direction. Oilers and Sharks ought to get together and make blockbuster trade to shake up their teams this year. What Sharks fan is not in shock? It is torture to watch a team lose with so many goals against while opponents look forward to easy night against the Mud Sharks.

This team is just really bad overall talent wise. Feels like they are made up of 3rd and 4th line players on all teams with AHL level defence. They will need a lot of turnover this offseason.

Just like he was in new York but he wasn’t quite bad in New York though except for going to the qualifying round during the pandemic 😷 I’m sorry coach y’all are clearly even more than a JV team like an expansion team or even like a freshman team. You should be 🔥

StephenRosenthal I totally disagree with you on blming Quinn for this mess. The blame squarely lands on the previous Regime. Doug Wilson is to blame for this whole mess. You trade away prospects and sign guys to Hugh long term deals to keep the window open for a Stanley cup. Grier and Quinn has to strip it all down and start at the foundation to rebuild this team. If anyone is to blame it is the previous Regime. That is were the blame should be at. Quinn will coach this year and next year he might get fired if they don't show any improvements. But I say give the guy a chance this is his second year. Grier has to get good picks and free agents to turn this around.

You are correct; this is not Quinn's fault. He can coach and he's a stand-up guy.

Whether or not Quinn is to blame for the situation, he's going to be gone soon, if only to shake up the players.
