Billie Eilish - Hit Me Hard and Soft / 2024 / pop, alt-pop
(English is not my first language so sorry if i make any mistakes) :)
In addition to the collab with Vince Staples on her EP, early in her career, she did the song “Lovely” with Khalid and had a feature on “Never Felt So Alone” with Labrinth. She also did a song with Rosalía called “Lo vas a olvidar”.
Finneas is 4 1/2 years older than Billie. he was born in July 1997, she was in born December 2001. I do agree with you about her crossover appeal with Black folks. We tend to appreciate when someone is at the top tier of their craft. But I strongly disagree with you that this album is somehow a step down in creativity from her previous work
- I'm going to try to check out her previous records since yous talk highly of her. I trust your opinions! The only song I know from her is the one that was featured in the opening of the latest season of True Detective, and I did like that one. This album seems ok. I've listened to it twice since I saw yous were reviewing it this week. Funny, even though I despise autotune, the one track that stood out for me also was that end of "L'amour De Ma Vie". That was easily the most interesting sounding moment. A rare, very, very rare example of autotune being used responsibly. I think I've only said that one other time!
