Such a beautifully honest interview. It’s so comfortable to watch because you can tell they’ve really settled into themselves. Billie isn’t trying too hard with her outfits or jewelry, she’s just comfortable. It’s just so nice
20:32 Finneas is right and they really hit it home with this album. so many 5 minute songs and none of the songs feel long they’re perfect everything about this album is perfect
Beautifully honest interview. I know Billie’s considered mainstream but something about their relationship with each other and with music is so unique. They deserve all the success they’ve had.
The way they’re able to speak to eachother’s emotional experiences is fascinating but shows the level of love and closeness they have. They’re speaking in their own language. I love it and love how this album is a further insight into that.
The whole album is a masterpiece but there is something so special about Wildflower. Something about the raw emotion of just feeling guilty or just feeling something even if everything is going well for you. I truly feel like that song is for people with good hearts who only want to be good to others and when you unintentionally hurt someone, it hits you in a way that you never thought of before. I"ve definitely felt that so many times in my life.
36:06 “you shouldn’t listen to lunch and think about who Billie wants to eat for lunch you should think about who you want to eat for lunch” Billie: THATS A METAPHOR YALL Also billie: *sideeye guilty look*
Same! Totally over my head the first several listens but then I was like.. oh! I also really love how the "it's over now" vocal from the end of L'Amour De Ma Vie is also in the background at the end of the album during Blue. Lots of little overlaps like that, really does make it feel like a full album instead of just a bunch of songs.
I don’t think I can ever explain how much this girl means to me. Her existence is just enough to make me feel safe and happy. The way she talks about her music making and production is typically beautiful. She is such a musical genius
Why does she make me cry all the time? Not from sadness, not at all. Her aura, her soul, her voice, and her essence bring tears to my eyes. In a beautiful way.
First of all, I hope she makes a documentary on the making of this album from all her footage.. but also, I love that they made this album for themselves. Like obviously it’s for us too, but they needed this more for themselves than anything. And it’s their best piece of work yet. It’s so raw and human and beautiful. It makes me want to dance and cry and laugh and go through all the emotions. 10/10.
Being interviewed by someone who loves your work almost as much as you is such a great privilege for everyone involved including the audience. This felt like a private conversation betweens friends catching up that happened to have a camera in the room. Thank you Phineas and Billie for this amazing body of work and this interview. As a private person i know allowing someone into your home with your family talking about deeply personal passions is not comfortable.
one thing I love about them is that they make music because they care about it, they put their feelings into it. the melody speaks to you ALSO, not only the lyrics. they really are expressing themselves through music! and GOD I love that everybody knows them now, it just makes art accessible.
I could literally just watch them talk for hours. They're bond as brother and sister. It's just so beautiful to see that. Them just having fun making music together is everything.
these two artists are born creatives, you can tell how engrained it is in them by their every move. zane is truly incredible as an interviewer, the way he listens and explains what hes hearing from whoever hes talking to is a joy
That’s one of the most honest interviews I’ve seen. Very vulnerable as well. The album is beautiful, and gets even better with more listens. It doesn’t need to grow on you- that’s not what I mean. I mean it opens up, and exposes itself more and more. It allows the listener to be vulnerable as well. Certain tracks are uncomfortably comfortable. I’m so happy I live in the time of these two.
I can see that’s why everyone loves her because she’s honest and she makes everyone see the true side of her and it just makes everyone’s day more brighter
I will never pass up an opportunity to listen to them talk about making music and their process. Best sibling duo! HMHAS is my album of the year hands down! 🏆
As being someone who's best friends with their older brother, i can feel the strength in their bonding. I don't think they'd be what they are without each other. Something about it so beautiful!
LOVED the way the focused all the time about the music and the producing, and no awkward boring moments filled with random thoughts, all the 1:12:46 hours were just perfect
I had to stop this interview a few times to go listen to the album and then come back. It definitely gives a deeper understanding and appreciation. Thank you.
It always warms my heart how much the artists genuinely trust Zane. I'm glad there's someone in the space like that who they, and we as the audience, can count on to fairly and lovingly detail their creation.
this duo could never be recreated again. even if someone did, it wouldn’t be the same. there will never be another like them ever again. their relationship is so secure and they work so well together, that i don’t think it could ever be the same again if someone came along and was doing the same thing
Zane Lowe is the GOAT of music interviewers, truly! He takes his work and the artists' work so seriously, and you can tell the artists really appreciate his dedication. The rapport is unmatched!
It’s great how excited the interviewer is but he needs to let them speak more. Sometimes they go to explain something and he interrupts to explain it for them. Or when they wanted to show how they produced the music with the mic and everything he kinda didn’t let them? I would’ve loved to see that. Also everything he said about lunch was so off 😭😭 but def a great great interview. So glad to have this deep dive !
Yep! It’s the face she made at the 36:26 min mark, they put it again at the end, she obviously answered the question because of what Zane said right after.
This was the most transparent and honest interview and I think that it speaks to Zane and the way that he is able to ask people important questions without prying. I hate when I watch an interview and the interviewer is prying so much and then the artist doesn’t want to say anything.
The fact that nobody (listeners/ reactors etc etc) talk about wildflower’s reprise/ last part of the song broke my heart because it might be one of the most beautiful things I’ve heard in my life and relate the most to; and hearing Billie’s love for it as well cures my heart in the deepest

Sorry my above comment is a response to @stacyh2932. I’m sorry abt what u went thru @brattybanshee 🥺
@@soffiani “girl code she mentioned in the interview?” (Yes I was wrong about the song.)
Finneas is an underated genius, what an unbelievable relationship they have, they’re perfect together ❤️
Billie putting her hand on Finneas' shoulder at 1:06:55 when he's talking about how proud he is just gets me teared up
first of all, thanks Zane for blessing us with an hour half of interview. second of all, billie & finneas if youre reading the comments, thank you so much for completing this album. its never easy to achieve something great like this. i mean the best one ever created yet! we love you, we appreciate all youve done. never feel pressured to make music again. take your time cuz we all know u both are really great at this. love you! ❤
THIS!
YES. Exactly. Well said!!
They deserve all the success they’ve had.
its so nice to have an interview with real, meaningful questions that we actually get something out of
Wildflower is heart wrenching. I wish it had a M/V.
This is my favorite song of all time
& the greatest💜
WHEN DO THEY TALK ABOIT IT!?
Billie just making angel noises in the background at 40:33 like it’s no big deal
right!! the interviewer turned around so quick
Literally felt like heaven
EXACTLY my jaw dropped 😭
The way they’re able to speak to eachother’s emotional experiences is fascinating but shows the level of love and closeness they have. They’re speaking in their own language. I love it and love how this album is a further insight into that.
The whole album is a masterpiece but there is something so special about Wildflower. Something about the raw emotion of just feeling guilty or just feeling something even if everything is going well for you. I truly feel like that song is for people with good hearts who only want to be good to others and when you unintentionally hurt someone, it hits you in a way that you never thought of before. I"ve definitely felt that so many times in my life.
@@Defy223wow, that’s a very interesting interpretation of the song!
36:06 “you shouldn’t listen to lunch and think about who Billie wants to eat for lunch you should think about who you want to eat for lunch”
Billie: THATS A METAPHOR YALL
Also billie: *sideeye guilty look*
i realized that skinny and blue had the melody of the greatest by myself, i listened to this SO MUCH 😭😭😭
ME TOO when i realized i cried tbh
@@tateheartheart2230 SAME
SAME. I unconsciously started singing the greatest while listening to skinny and I was like, wait a minute 😭
@@sunbear_413YES!!! I realized that too, she’s a genius
I don’t think I can ever explain how much this girl means to me. Her existence is just enough to make me feel safe and happy. The way she talks about her music making and production is typically beautiful. She is such a musical genius
ONE HOUR WE WON‼️
Knowing that she was talking about working with Charli XCX at 58:28 now that the Guess remix is out makes me so fkn happy
Why does she make me cry all the time? Not from sadness, not at all. Her aura, her soul, her voice, and her essence bring tears to my eyes. In a beautiful way.
their best work! i’m OBSESSED with the album i cannot stop listening to it, IT’S INCREDIBLE

Tory Lanez-Luv
First of all, I hope she makes a documentary on the making of this album from all her footage.. but also, I love that they made this album for themselves. Like obviously it’s for us too, but they needed this more for themselves than anything. And it’s their best piece of work yet. It’s so raw and human and beautiful. It makes me want to dance and cry and laugh and go through all the emotions. 10/10.
i'm happy to be alive at the same time as Billie and Finneas
The emotional intelligence of these guys is astounding.
Being interviewed by someone who loves your work almost as much as you is such a great privilege for everyone involved including the audience.
This felt like a private conversation betweens friends catching up that happened to have a camera in the room.
Thank you Phineas and Billie for this amazing body of work and this interview. As a private person i know allowing someone into your home with your family talking about deeply personal passions is not comfortable.
never thought I would lose the game because of a billie interview but here we are
HAHAHAH REAL
hahahaha i thought the same thing. like this isnt The Game I know
When he talks about lunch being metaphorically written and the way Billie said ~RIGHTT🫢30:40
As a queer gal I legitimately CACKLED at this
She literally pokes her tongue out liiiiikkkeee
HILARIOUS 💙💙💙
Riiiight right! right
Then the look at 36:22 😂
one thing I love about them is that they make music because they care about it, they put their feelings into it. the melody speaks to you ALSO, not only the lyrics. they really are expressing themselves through music! and GOD I love that everybody knows them now, it just makes art accessible.
The Greatest, tore me up, spit me out, and left me on the ground bleeding man.
this interviewer always does his homework and asks the best questions, loved every minute of this!
the way I know I’m gonna cry seeing birds of a feather live
Same !!!
Probably the worst song on the album

Something about it so beautiful!
shes so proud of that birds of a feather belt, as she should!!!! makes me cry every time
LOVED the way the focused all the time about the music and the producing, and no awkward boring moments filled with random thoughts, all the 1:12:46 hours were just perfect
I had to stop this interview a few times to go listen to the album and then come back. It definitely gives a deeper understanding and appreciation. Thank you.
she is literally the only artist how can understand all of us, and i really can recognize myself in her music, y’all can understand me
It always warms my heart how much the artists genuinely trust Zane.
So glad to have this deep dive !
the way they edited the "why did you say what you said at the end of the album" part together aksldjflkasdjf
Yep! It’s the face she made at the 36:26 min mark, they put it again at the end, she obviously answered the question because of what Zane said right after.
@@Amyscreativestudio swhfjkfasdjkfa I need to know what she saiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid
What does it mean?!?!
imagine just naturally and effortlessly being so beautiful
what I really love about this album is, that it’s literally for EVERYONE. It’s just hard and soft
2 geniuses who are so in touch with their emotions is so amazing to watch, they are on a different level of creativity
i keep coming back to this interview. it feels like getting a glimpse of the genius, unparalleled
This was the most transparent and honest interview and I think that it speaks to Zane and the way that he is able to ask people important questions without prying. I hate when I watch an interview and the interviewer is prying so much and then the artist doesn’t want to say anything.
Yeah I feel like he navigated vulnerable questions pretty tastefully
They are absolutely GOATs no words can express the gratitude to these two for what they’ve given us
The fact that nobody (listeners/ reactors etc etc) talk about wildflower’s reprise/ last part of the song broke my heart because it might be one of the most beautiful things I’ve heard in my life and relate the most to; and hearing Billie’s love for it as well cures my heart in the deepest
i love billie songs ever since 2015. the most thing that I liked abt her songs was, from 2015-2024 every song tells a different story abt myself. i cried, laughed, more emotions, and it's basically therapeutic. i have never been to any of Billie Eilish's concert, but i'm aware of every song featuring her. i once dream abt her lol is was very sweet n all. i wish all the best for her and her family, her fans too.
Billie has been so shy. 🙈 He’s been her comfort zone since day one. She had been ownership of all her music since day one. Major he is the brain. Creating and maintaining an environment
