Charli XCX - BRAT / 2024 / electronic, hyperpop, electropop Развлечения
In her early career, they tried to market her as a Gwen Stefani type. Boom Clap, Fancy, and Break The Rules all sound like songs Gwen would have released in the mid-2000s, and they wanted that to be her lane early on. I'm so glad she rejected that direction and became the hyper-pop pioneer I know and love today. Brat is truly her best work to date and the marketing has been next level.
Remember when she was getting cooked for the album art? Now look at everyone
@@AlbumMode@AlbumMode I'm studying marketing in an MBA program right now, and I low-key want to do a deep dive into the marketing campaign for this project cuz it's kind of been perfect.
woah i'm surprised this video doesnt have more views, that was a great review. put this vid on while i was doing stuff and felt like i was hanging out with you guys lol. and i LOVE this album, it's just so fun. i think this album and chappell roan will be my 2 most played this year. also... demar shirt definitely not green enough but points for the effort lol. 😆
Ok, I’ve been a charli stan since 2013, I was even at her True Romance album release and I have never once heard of her being an industry plant…. Wtf?
Charli has bounced between billboard top charter and the hyperpop scene… Brat is a close rendition of this balance. Charli should be appreciated and applauded for bringing something creative to the pop culture stage in 2024.
Charli xcx was really the first mainstream artist to adopt the hyperpop sound and legitimised it into a tangible genre that other artists now try to replicate. As soon as she realised this she switched up her sound to something that blends every genre she's tried before
Everything is romantic is my favorite from the album. Check out the 3 bonus tracks she put out too!
One of our favs too. Too many great songs on this album
I really enjoyed y'alls review and y'all should definitely tap into Charli's earlier work, her best album imo is pop 2 and it definitely semented her as thee hyper pop girly. she kinda gagged her pop fans w/ vroom vroom ep and it's been kind of a buildup to this version of her music since then. she also had different covers for all her albums/ singles but swapped them to the blank ones w/ the text after she released the album artwork for brat.
Talk Talk is my favorite song on the album!!! It gives me such nostalgic 2010s vibes. Imma pop head tho lol
hallo
good talk
Shout out to Britney
