That's been my agent's rp perspective, loyalty to the Ascendancy, and aim to keep the sith empire locked in combat with the republic to prevent the empire from taking a more hands on approach with the Ascendancy. In other words siding with Jadus would cement the power structure and that would be bad for me, political chaos in the empire ot vital for the safety of the Ascendancy
But at the same time, you gotta balance it out for if the Empire was too weak, the Republic could gain in strength and threaten the Ascendancy who is allied to the Empire @@unexpectedbothan662
If I remember right, during an interview they said they wanted the Agent Storyline to reflect how someone like Tarkin could order Darth Vader to stop force choking someone. How a non force sensitive can be as dangerous if not more so then a Jedi or Sith.
@@TheAdventGamer the problem with this is, Tarkin couldn't order Vader around because he could take him in a fight, but because he was under the emperor's direct protection. Vader was STRICTLY prohibited from harming Tarkin, lest he suffer the consequences. So even if they wanted to show what you described, it doesn't work as a comparison or good exameple in the first place
There is something about chiss agent. Honestly the chiss are one of my favorite races to create characters with, followed by Twi'lek. Heck I even created a Chiss trooper.

I Love the agent stroyline, and I never even knew you could side with Jadus, I always brought him down. The agent's storyline is an amazing bit of star wars lore- whoever wrote it had the right idea, and should be given their own set of star wars films as far as I'm concerned. The agent's story cuts through every trope in Star Wars to reveal a disturbingly realistic and bleak depiction of the galaxy. I love the idea of this intergalactic super-spy who is just *that good*, that well trained, that they can take on the force sensitive rulers of the galaxy, both imperial and republic- discover the hidden cabal of wealthy elites pulling the strings behind the scenes- navigate this web of impossible corruption and terrible intrigue and eventually come out on top- securing their freedom from the shadows- without anyone really ever knowing they were there. It's even better if you play a Chiss, like I did, because iirc it's heavily implied that my agent (just like Thrawn) is actually loyal to the Chiss ascendancy over the empire. So even as he navigates this maze of political terror and secret warfare to serve the Empire- he's *STILL* playing a longer con for himself and his own faction.
Same with mine. There is a specialty sidequest on Balmorra that you can refuse as a Chiss, and the character will say that they are still loyal to the ascendancy. Something about covering up the death of a Chiss official of some kind.

Jadus, Malgus, Vowrawn, Acina, Dooku, Vader, Palpatine. All of them equated their vision as the best option for the Empire. For a sith, right and wrong don't exist objectively, and indeed, objective morality is a shackle. Sith aspire to break all chains. Thus, a sith decides what is right and wrong because they are strong. "The force will set me free"

In the vanilla story I always played my agent with shades of gray but leaning more toward the dark. I would protect the Emprie if necessary, but anyone who double crosses me pays, but not necessarily right away. Now in the knights of the eternal throne have pretty much taken them completely darkside. I've already decided that my agent is going to claim the eternal throne, I haven't for any of my other characters including darkside characters, so I need at least one to claim the throne. I just can't decide if I will take my agent the saboteur route or not. I haven't for any other characters and this would change things up. I just don't want to lose any companions as a saboteur, I like having as many companions as possible.

Yes! Playing as the Hand of Jadus was by far my most favorite experience. I do hope that Jadus appears again, though he'd probably be butchered or killed off sadly.

If I had written that path though, the ending would have been radically darker. Imperial inteligance would not have been dismantled. It would have been the only path through which you can get out of the same story.
My imperial agent is based on Hans Landa from Inglorious Basterds. A cold psychopath piece of shit that just wants as much power as possible. Since he isn't force sensitive he figured the next best thing would be to become a moff. Siding with Jadus was an absolute no brainer. If the war seems to be going the way of the republic, he'd most definitely defect.
I’m trying to decide wether or not my pureblood agent sides with Jadus or not. I want her to be loyal to a fault to the empire and sith, but idk if that includes betraying the current empire to do so
I believe Darth Jadus is an absolutely gorgeous character alongside with his daughter and he has great vision for the Empire to become less corrupted by foolish members of the dark council (except Darth Jadus himself and Darth Marr of course). But I think his plan with killing billions of people for that is just crazy. He could have just killed the rest of the Dark Councillors like Vitiate did. Would prevent the Empire before a massive waste of live and workforce, just saying…
What will accomplish? Purging the sith will not change anything. Jadus plan was inspire fear every level of the empire. Imperial military acts like a tool in the hands of the Sith and they use imperial military for their own purposes. Jadus wants to root out the infighting, not every imperial military personnel would like Jadus to be in charge of things, some of them are loyal to other Sith lords.
The Imperial storylines are just far superior to the Republic ones. Pubs are just so vanilla and dull, and the Jedi Order ones are worst, sleep inducing ones.
Well, he *is* among the most powerful Sith of the time, probably even a cut above Marr. So I don't think that statement is that much of an exaggeration.
