    those colored plastic counters look really useful

      They sure do stand out a lot more than the plastic beads and they are transulent, so i can still see all the terrain hex sides.

    Are these maps and tools used by military schools for teaching?

      I do know there are actual game designers out there that design games specifically for the military.
