That dog in the background was having as much or more fun than Paul and the crew. Was that dog with you guys? He was having a blast!
Paul sent me over here. Great job, guys! Enjoyed it immensely!
This video is why I gave up TV and switched to you tube. I actually learn stuff w/o being preached to. Paul, Jimmy, Shawn, Merlin, Hunter- y’all had me laughing through my gut!
Same here!! I haven’t watched regular tv for quite awhile now
It's gotta be 6 months since I watched regularly TV. I prefer RUclips.
Same here !
So much better than tv !
Ditto 😁😂❤
Jimmy that looked like fun 😂 thanks for letting me watch.
Came over from the FabRats to watch all the fun and carnage. Had a great time and learned a lot about jet skis. Thank you for sharing!
Playing Smoke on the Water in my mind while watching Hunter's ride
Hunter has a wicked sense of humour and a quick wit. Bushyboy Oz.
39:34 ... is it just me, or does Hunters jetski look like Iron Mans mask as it pulls in to shore? Would make an awesome paint scheme!!!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
I don't think I've ever seen the Fab Rats guys have so much fun. Everyone needs a Jimmy in their life. Glad Paul sent us to this channel. Cheers!
Agreed👊🇺🇸👊
Yes sir, we need more Jimmy's.
Jimmy is a good dude ! Thanks guys for the content was super interesting and fun to watch lol
Roger that @jeffreysmithster
Jimmy is a way cool dude for sure.
I love when a master can just spot issues from a glance.
Great job Hunter getting up on all those jet skis.
Some 'Metal Flake Purple paint' and black pads on Hunter's ride and he'll be styling while having a blast. Thanks for sharing all this fun with us.Side hurt a bit from laughing along with you all./Couldn't decide whether "Purple Haze",or "Smoke On The Water" fit better.
I just loved Hunters laugh each and every time Paul fell off.
Right? It had me rolling…
I bet Grandma lolly could ride it lol
Hunter did good, Jimmies tutering paid off well.
It was really cool to see the evolution of the stand-ups. Thanks for sharing, Jimmy!
My first watch on your channel and this was fun to see everyone having a good time learning from the best! No doubt thumbs up on the content and I will continue to watch your videos! Til next time, take care, and we'll see you on the next...
You guys were having a blast. Jet Ski Jim, knows his stuff.
It speaks volumes how your channel is connected by the total ripple effect. You really are the best 🙏
Fun Team! Great video. Merlin's commentary is priceless.
Merlin is made for RUclips!
I'm 64 and never been on one but i feel from your instruction in this video i could jump right on one and ride away !
You should be proud of your machine Hunter...its a vintage model. 👍
You are the best, Jimmy! Well done recognizing difficulty to a younger gen. Merlin: I lost it at the whistle! That chit had me rolling laughing. Not expected!
💯🤔 Albuquerque New Mexico in the house welcome to the family, new subscriber from FAB RAT 👊🏼👍🏼
Awesome video... Your colab video with Fab Rats and Merlin are top drawer !!!
Jimmy and Merlin you guys are awesome. I'd really enjoy just hanging out with you guys. I've learned so much. Thank you for sharing. That's a blast Jimmy's got moves on the water 🙏🦾👍
Thanks, Jimmy, I'm an older guy who missed out on these rigs and always wondered.
its never too late...
Get a sitdown ski man they're just as fun! You can stand on them on them too
I’ll say it again. Hunter is like Paul’s little brother that gets drug along to have someone to pick on. But the brotherly bond has them laughing at each other and supporting each other in their accomplishments. Jimmy is definitely an enthusiastic Jet Ski Ambassador.
Jimmy, you're the man behind the ski...fun day at the lake instructing and having fun...
Brings back a lot of memories every time you all make a Havasu/River video. Many years of my youth spent between Havasu and Headgate. Makes me want to move the family out of Cali to AZ.
Jimmy is the Man! Unassuming, but has the experience and knowledge. Hunter is Sooooo fortunate to be able to hang with, learn from the OG Paul, Sean, Merlin and Jimmy. That years of experience and knowledge all at one place. GREAT VIDEO !🤙😎
WOW Jimmy that was awesome! Fab Rat Crew was alot of fun to watch LOL! YOU ARE AMAZING ON THE JET SKI!
You's Guys did a awesome job at riding them jet sky's. It was so much fun watching you's do it. Hunter amazed me at how quick he caught on and Paul he was doing really good also. Shawn went right up to stand I was like holy shit he is killing it. I think this was the best idea ever it had me laughing so hard. Jimmy is a great teacher I learned a lot for this video. I love how Merlin gets you's all hyped up and want to try things and if it doesn't work o well you tried anyway. I have to watch what else Jimmy has on his channel
Hunter shure are in the best hands here!
I respect Hunter for having the appreciation of classic piece like that
Watched Paul’s video this morning and had to see if Hunter’s jet ski runs. New subscriber this morning and looking forward to all of your adventures.
That was fun to watch!👍 found you from FabRats' channel. New subscriber 👍
💯🤔 the narration is like the Antique Roadshow😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Well done Jimmy, I was already a fan, but I was so impressed with your skills. Not to mention that collection of jet skis.
This will be JetSki Jimmy the wizzO wizzard of the skis all time biggest video
I’m so glad you didn’t wait for Sunday to release this one 🎉🎉, what a great episode
Man this video was a ton of fun. Jimmy is clearly a legend when it comes to these stand ups and it's super fun to listen to his advice and then watch the Fab Rats crew learn. Now I've got some great pointers if I ever get to ride one, or ever manage to buy one reasonably and get it on the water. They look like a ton of fun. My only gripe about them is my hot rod nature. Learn how to ride, needs more hp, and how can I flip it? Especially since I can crash into water. Like Jimmy said about his MX days, I can't risk those big hits anymore. I've broken my back a couple times and sustained lesser injuries quite a few times when I was under my parents insurance as a kid due to MX, mountain biking, and skiing. Can't do that as a working adult.
Hunter is a natural athlete with so many sports.
so cool, great to see ou working with Hunter to help him learn about his new Jetski.
i got to ride one of those in the mid to late 70s , it was hard to get up and stay up on it. i finally got the hang of it for a few minutes .... look like you all had fun , thanks jimmy for sharing your many years of knowledge ...
Great video guys this was a lot of fun to watch. Looks like you guys had a great time. Y’all did pretty good on the skis! But I have to say this about JetSki Jimmy He knows his shit and he’s damn good on his ski. Very impressive! Keep up the great work though and keep having fun!🤩🫡👍🏼❤️
Now this is fun to watch ! Laughed my butt off but you guys did great ! Thanks Jimmy for learnin them boys !
This video brought back memories from the late 70's with my buddies out on the California Delta near Sacramento where you could ride jet ski's, speed boats and basically have LOTS of fun. There was an island hang-out called The Lost Isle, which had a bar/restaurant and you could camp on the island. Those were the days!
Hunter nailed it... well done Jim for being positive with him and encouraging him throughout. More of this please...Love it
Makes watching those guys (and girls I suppose) rip these around and jump and submarine with these is even more impressive after watching these guys.
I am old, and I have rented a few Stand-up back in the early 90's and love them. They are so much fun. I never have ridden the sit downs.
As of my viewing, it looks to me that Jim got the highest ratio of "Likes" to "Subscribers" and for good reason. All the participants got involved and Jim freely shared his knowledge to make it fun for everyone. Hunter nailed it, and he does it by being a good listener. Jim, please rehang the US flag properly.
I think it's cool when someone has expertise doing something and the willingness to teach. And you see the other folks drink it in as the work goes on. Thanks for the video!
Thank you so much. :-) (Stimpy was my hero!!)
Well Jimmy you have set the standard now
Amazing love the show keep it don't forget we can't see what's in your head 😊😊😊
His wheels are always turning and I think sometimes we don't want to know what's going on inside...🤣🤣🤣
It's good for fabrats to get out of the shop and do fun things with family.
When Hunter's ski started up for the first time in Jimmy's workshop I could smell the 2 stroke in my lounge in New Zealand. Great footage.
What an awesome video! Serious teamwork....Jimmy schooling those guys up on the jet skis was way cool! Thanks to All for this great entertainment!
What a great time! Thanks for taking us along! J.R.
Your connectedness and family friendships have given a real warm Community flavour to Merlin the show fabric show and Jimmy show. Thanks so much! I appreciate just being included in your Family and friends interaction with each other it brings us into the Community you all have!!
Jimmy, you just brought back some really old memories. Back in the 70 s I was friends with a Kawasaki Rep. His job was to take 6 jet skis to the lake and let people ride them free Dont remember lake it was around Roanoke Va. My son was 6 years old and jumped right on a ski and stood right up There was a guy on a Yamaha wet bike . My son taught him a lesson on water sports. Thank you for such a wonderful vid. You gave instructions just like the rep did so many years ago . I am 75 and my son now is over 50. I will down load to Facebook and hope he sees it.
Jim, Keeper of Old School (Jet Ski ) Knowledge. Great video! Top of the line equipment and instruction, Hunter, Shawn and Paul are fortunate to attend Jim's Jet Ski University. Kudos to the "Prime Instigator," Merlin, who provided good camera work and even better questions, always committed to share his considerable skills and expertise... 🙏
Great for Jimmy to take time and help Hunter with his new toy. Thanks
Thanks for firing up the "McLaren". We old motorheads love the sound of engines good and bad.
Thanks for letting us see Jimmy launching the McLaren. Thanks for letting us see the "learning experience" on jet skis. Living a stone's throw from a large lake means I might have to buy two.
New subscriber here! Love Jet Ski Jimmy! ❤❤❤❤
💯🤔 looks like right now is just you and I from the FabRat family here.🤣🤣👊🏼👍🏼 actually it was a great episode
To me there is nothing better than seeing a young one learning from the the og guys. Hunter is blessed to have you guys in his life.
also, this video tonight, after sending an email with 20 attachments, after sending a prior email with 15 attachments, absolutely made my night. thanks to all ya'll.
@Jet Ski Jimmy I always enjoy watching your channel. I'm a 70's kid and I have never ridden a jet ski. Didn't know they made them in the 70's. Thought that was something that came around in the 90's. Maybe someday I can go out and ride one.
70s were the best!!!
@@KrisD007 spotted a couple on the lake in '77. Yellow '76 400s. They even shut down & circled back like Golden Retrievers or something. Knew I had to have one.
Jimmy kudos to you for taking the time with our youth, Hunter, you impress me and are restoring my faith in your generation, which I barley have any.
Some how Paul im completely filled with laughter that there's actually something your not so good at. Keep up the practice. ❤😂❤😂❤😂😂😂😂😂
I remember modding those early ones for better performance, but getting a padding kit was the biggest. Great fun. Rivers, lakes, and Ocean, they were a blast and a half.
First time watching and I'm hooked. Subscribed and will continue watching. Jim you are not only a great mechanic but also a patient, excellent teacher.
Thank you Merlin for introducing us all to Jim. Thank you FabRats crew for being so willing to learn, laugh and have fun. Great video!
Great collaboration, Jimmy. Keep up the great job.
Good to see all the guys so happy, just need Merlin with all his expert advice to get on and ride, didn’t see that once
I've never got into the jet skis as you can see I have been hooked on motorcycles and have got old enough to maybe need to make a transition one day to another sport that has softer landings than concrete/asphalt. 😜👍 Enjoyed the video and love how you help your following along Jimmy!!!!
Watching Jimmy ride backward... PRICELESS! That was a really fun video. Love Fab Rats, now I love Jimmy. Great content!
Came for Fab Rats, stayed for Jimmy. New Subscriber. This is a great channel. Thanks Jimmy
Badass video! Brought back lots of memories of me riding them as a kid at my uncle's place.
This was so much fun to watch! I enjoy watching all y'all's channels! Very entertaining for a couple of old retired fogies...Thanks!
I had a '77 440 and 2 '78 440s. Mine were highly modified. One was a "superstock" 440 (top speed 48 mph), one was bored to a 550, but my '77 was ported and we sleeved the pump and put a 21' pitch impeller in it. We had to run all of mine on VP 104 octane gas because we raised the compression so high. I used to race the superstocker in sancioned races. BTW, the 440 was the model A. The 400 was the model T. We used to call what Jimmy was doing "Bulldogging". Riding backwards is someting else, and it is VERY hard. I wanna' see if Jimmy can submarine a ski.
This was an awesome video. I remember riding these in the 80 and early 90's. Might have to buy one now. Amazing talent working on the machines and riding them! Subscribed!
I enjoy watch and Jim work an explaining everything thst was awesome i learned a lot watching it . Great job 👏
😀Brilliant what a laugh you guys had
Hunter has the young gene. It really helps when learning how to do things you’ve never done before 😂. Oh and it also helps you heal faster if you end up getting hurt. So Hunter go ahead and send it while you still have youth on your side! Great video guys it was an absolute pleasure to watch, and had me laughing out loud. And excellent info on all the jet skis Jimmy!
Loving the channel. Spiked that 👍🏽
Awesome seeing younguns on stand up skis. That is by far my favorite sport. Hunter is a boss getting up soquick, it took me two days of bloody legs and shins!
I got a 550, yamaha waverunner and a x2 all in one summer. It has broke my car addiction 😂
Another great video Jim! I remember meeting you at body beach. Now you're a RUclips star🤣. Keep up the great work!
I am an old school gearhead like merlin. Watching your video showed me just how cool an old boy you are. I'll be watching for more from you.
Man tell ya the truth I want one these old stand ups now. Hell yeah!!!
Jimmy, you made my day. The joy you have teaching new riders is apparent. God bless
Great to see some hometown videos.
What an amazing bunch of human beings...work hard, play hard...and good people all round! Thank you, Paul for introducing us to Jimmy! Solid dude! And Merlin as always!!
Back in the day, the baddest little baddie on a Jet ski was Janna. Hung out at a little place called Wimpy's. Guess you had to be there.
Jimmy you really know how to give important detailed instructions. Very impressive knowledge you have with the history as well as the physics involved with staying ON those fast water horses. Thanks Merlin and Jimmy for being so friendly with the sharing of your knowledge with Paul,Shawn, and youngster what’s his name. Y’all looked real good having a blast together. Be well and safe.
The stand up jet skis are hard to ride I think I only stood up a couple of times back in the day. You can tell how good of a rider Jimmy is. That was a great video brought back some good memories.
That brought back some fond memories!! A friend of mine had a 750 stand up and we would pull a skier behind it. What a blast. My kids bought one, early to mid 90's, (sit down 2 seater) that supposedly only 2 dealers in each state could get one of and it was supposed to be a racer with oil injection. It ran really good!! We took it to Havasu a couple times before I had a boat. What a great time. You guys have been officially been introduced to a great and fun play time activity! Jimmy is definitely the king when it comes to skill and knowledge of jet skis!! Great video!!!
a great story
Wouldn't be the FULL piston port 440/550 experience if he wasn't getting towed in at least once🤣.
Not as easy as it looks from a T, A, Stock (57 Chevy), Ferrari. Hunter was able to stand. Kudos, Sean and Paul next time. Jimmy & Merlin thanks.
26:20 smokin’ 🤣
In the 80s (me in my 30s) a group of us engineers on a road project that crossed a tidal river near its estuary, we used to rent 5 or 6 stand-up jet skis from a local hotel and water sports owner, and take them out and have a ball. This was West Wales UK, where neither the weather or the water is ever warm - wetsuits we’re essential. From memory they were only 250cc but man, we had a blast with those things. Almost 3 years on that project, so imagine how many weekends and evenings we were on the water!
We also had an old ski-boat, with a 60hp Suzuki twin outboard, we had loads of fun learning to ski and just enjoy the water and each other’s company.
Great memories ❤️🇷🇴
You're a good instructor Jimmy. Looked like a good time.
I think that Hunter did a great job on the stand up jet ski. Good job dude 😎.
