Ingredients (for 4 servings):
500 g (1 lb) tortellini
1 onion (finely diced)
200 g (7 oz) ham (cut into thin strips)
3 wedges of cream cheese
500 ml (2 cups) heavy cream or cooking cream
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp paprika powder
Salt and pepper (to taste)
2 slices of cheese (optional, cut into small pieces)
Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Preparation:
1. Prep Work:
Dice the onion finely (Brunoise).
Cut the ham into thin strips (Julienne).
2. Sautéing:
Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion until translucent.
Add the ham and fry until it develops a light roasted aroma.
3. Preparing the Sauce:
Add cream cheese to the pan and mix with the ham.
Pour in the heavy cream. Rinse the cream container with a bit of water and add it to the pan.
(Optional) Chop the leftover cheese slices into small pieces and stir them in.
4. Seasoning and Simmering:
Season the sauce with paprika powder, salt, and pepper.
Let it simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
5. Adding Parsley and Tortellini:
Chop fresh parsley and add it to the sauce.
Cook the tortellini according to package instructions in salted water.
6. Serving:
Toss the tortellini with the sauce or serve them separately.
Garnish with chopped parsley and enjoy!
