Omg the way your baby was looking at you and smiling at the beginning of the video 😭🥰 Such a little sweetheart. Babies always find a way to make you feel happy.
You are so right about the Haakaa, which is great for when you are nursing frequently. It's the smart, easy way to do it at that point in the breastfeeding journey. Love your cute sidekick.
Zachary is just adorable! I love watching your video's on raising your family, all the tips, and family time you have with your family. Blessings from Israel!
Oh my goodness, I just had my son almost two weeks ago and this video is SO helpful!! 💙 Thank you so much for sharing! 🙏🏻 (Also, your son is precious!!!)
Great video! Going through the same situation with my second baby supplementing with formula like once a day until my milk comes in . Nothing wrong with using all options available I'm know I'm doing the best for my little guy.
Zachary is so cute. I’m partial of course cause my Zachary is a joy. All of your children are so sweet. I love Max’s curly hair and Cory’s penchant for putting things in bags. He seems like an old soul. You’re truly a blessed mom.
The key to milk production is frequency of milk removal. Supplementing with formula prevents your baby from frequent nursing. You don’t need to “let the milk build up” in your breast because a breast is always producing/never empty. Also introducing formula changes your baby’s gut biome which interferes with the development of the right gut bacteria. This is crucial to the immune system. Please don’t recommend formula without a medical reason. ( International Board Certified Lactation Consultant of 22 years here.)
Thank you for your comment. What is your advice for a new mom whose baby sleeps off but still feeds. The sessions are almost an hour and baby wakes up as soon as boob is out
But for some people pacifiers can cause issues and formula can hurt supply as I know some friends who did have their supply hurt by formula. I would refer to a lactation consultant for accurate advice on nursing. Everyone’s bodies are different and supplementing as well as pacifiers can definitely affect supply for some moms.
I’ve decided to get one because a manual and electric pump is just so cumbersome with all the parts that need to be washed all the time and having to hold it in place while nursing a wiggly baby and I can’t nurse on my right breast because I have horrible pain when nursing that nobody seems to know the reason why I do and now my breasts are extremely lopsided would using the Haakaa on my right breast help even them out?
Gotta get a Haaka pump now lol after I breastfeed my daughter, I'll use my hands free pump afterwards but it's a great idea to get some milk out while she's eating
The best thing b4 a feeding is a hot compress and massaging around ur milk glands and I'm telling u wait till u see the difference in the supply u get from one pump on one breast.... God bless 🙏🏼❤️
This is so helpful. I've been wondering why moms nurse on the side they just used the haaka on, and thats helpful to know about the foremilk/harder to drink milk.
😭 😩 I WISH I WATCHED THIS EARLIER!!!!! My son was jaundice, I didn’t know about the haaka. My pump broke the first night home and supply went down and had to rush to get a new $500 Mandela pump the morning. I was so stressed 10 hours of straight cluster feeding for a week and a half, it was one of the hardest time of my life. I felt so responsible for jaundice and how I could fix it. So my baby keeps eating constant some periods of the day, how do I just wait an a hour and half if he’s crying for more milk? What do you do between those times?
So, why is this so painful? I just ordered and it was extruciating and it took me 1 hour with only drops coming out to get 3.5 oz. If I use my electric I get 4 oz in 30 min. I have so many of those pacis and my 7 week old hates them im so disapointed because I have so many
It's not meant to be used as a main pump or to replace an electric pump, it's probably painful because you need to extract the milk and the Haakaa isn't cutting it! I use it like i say while nursing on the other side. Hope taht makes sense!
It was painful for me when I first put it on to...I tried folding the flanges back, squeezing and then latching and releasing the pump on my nipple...it felt waaaay better no pain at all.
Okay, so first off. Formula supplementing WILL affect your supply. The more frequently you pump or your baby nurses, especially in the 1st 72hrs will trigger your prolactin horomones to begin producing milk Introducing a pacifier or bottle too early may lead to nipple confusion which may lead to an improper latch and supply issues. Waiting until your breasts are full before pumping or nursing is terrible advice. Milk supply is reliant on the frequency of effective emptying of the breast. Ladies, please speak to a licensed IBCLC for advice. Most of this is wrong

Thank you so much!
I wish you had made this video two years ago when I was pregnant instead I could never figure out why everyone was raving about the Hakka pump!
I've been using my haakaa on the opposite side of when my daughter has been nursing. It helps to stimulate letdown I get 1-1.5 oz on one side.
what position do you nurse that you can put haakaa on the other side?

You’re so lucky with the haaka! It doesn’t work for me like that unfortunately but so happy for mamas who can have this!
Ugh oh no! I didn't love it with previous nursing experiences as much as I do this time around.
His smile is infectious! Love your videos so much!
Thank you so much! So glad you like them!
It was so cute watching him fall asleep. I miss my kids being babies 👶 😢
Newborns that just drift off are the best lol!!
Super good info! Thanks for sharing!

@@seradoxa3537you can tickle the babys feet or do skin ti skin ti keep him or her awake. This means, all naked, except a diaper.
@@flyby3079 thank you. Unfortunately my baby passed shortly after. He had SMA and wasn't diagnosed on time.
@@seradoxa3537 so sorry to hear about this. May he rest in peace. ☹️

I must have been a cow while nursing my kids many moons ago. I had enough milk for the whole neighborhood. Lol.😂
Lol love it!!
Lol😂. I'm actually 13 years old, I'm just trying to learn more about breastfeeding before something like that happens. If you know what I mean😅
Gotta get a Haaka pump now lol after I breastfeed my daughter, I'll use my hands free pump afterwards but it's a great idea to get some milk out while she's eating
This is so helpful!! May I ask- you still find there is enough available for baby to consume on the other side??

Great succinct info!
Have you thought of placing a lunch bag/icepack nearby so you can avoid going dowstairs in the middle if the night?
Hye my baby is 7 wéeks can I start using Hakka now to increase milk supply as my milk supply is low please please reply
Off course! Use it

Please feed your baby. Don’t wait for 1.5 hours. During growth spurts my baby nurses all the time. This is called cluster feeding and it’s normal.

Does this collect hind milk also or just the first bit?
He’s a cutie! Back in the day we were told to drink a BEER. Not sure if it was the ingredients or the fact you were relaxed after having one….LOL
Does it only work when you are breast feeding baby on the other breast?
Not only but much much better
How long do you leak the haaka on each breast?
My baby cries so much when he is not fed even for about 20 minutes. I want to feed him every 1- 2 hrs. How to handle the crying?
Definitely call your pediatrician right away that doesn’t sound typical
My heart 💕 just melts when I see Zachary's big beautiful eyes.
Aww thank you!!
How old was your son when you gave him a passy?
What's the brand of your pacifier? :)
It looks like it might be from Itzy ritzy
Itzy ritzy. I recently picked these up for $0.01 lol couldnt believe it!
The only thing is they arent a special teet/orthodontic style.
