Does this pump work when you already have low supply? (1-3 ounce )in 15 mins pumping sessions ?
It will help collect your let downs from the opposite breast while nursing even with low milk supply. But it may not be the most effective/efficient way to increase milk supply. A complete history is needed for an individualized plan.
Would I be able to use at 4 months after birth. I stopped because I was not supplying enough. Would I be able to achieve any milk at this time?

Can i use haka pump after delivering baby during breastfeeding sections? Or should i use it 3 days after delivery
It provides best results once your mature milk start coming in at around day 3-5.
Can it be helpful with someone whose milk supply is really low ??
Great question! The Haakaa may help in removing extra milk but may not be the most effective/efficient method for someone with low milk supply. A complete history and individualized plan of care is needed in these situations.
How soon after birth should I start using the haaka when breast feeding my baby?
You shouldn't. Just breastfeed. I see lots of moms who get breast damage and inflammation from haakaa. It is really not a necessity for establishing supply.

Or wait for hours before pumping?

Absolutely. You can pump while you eat if you wish. :)
Can I combine my milk with previous pumped milk from my Hakka like from an earlier session?
Hi! Milk from different sessions CAN be combined ONLY when both are at the same temperature. DO NOT combine room temperature and cold milk. BOTH need to be at same temperature. You can store individually and then combine when they each reach the same temperature. Hope this helps!

Absolutely! Initiating breast pumping or increasing the number of pumping sessions while using the correct flange size should increase milk production. Allow up to 7 days to notice a difference. Check out my pumping videos for more guidance .

Hi! The Haakaa pump uses passive suction. Dual electric breast pumping will be best for power pumping. Hope this helps! :)
Hi there i have a problem when i use this kind of milk collector. I will have some blisters on mynipple.. is there any solution for my case?
Have you tried adjusting position, ensuring nipple is centered?
@@PrenatalYini yes i've tried.but mine was not haakaa..mybe because of the silicone it self. I also have trouble using plastic flange of electric bp since i have inverted nipple.

When should I start using the hakaa?
2 weeks postpartum is a good time to start. If you’re experiencing leaking before this time, you can suction the Haakaa lightly to collect milk drip.

Great question! The Haakaa pump is designed to be used while there is breast stimulation on the opposite breast - a baby who is breastfeeding effectively or a manual breast pump. Hope this helps!

I get nothing from the pump but when I hand express I get drops

To make sure I understand: Baby nurses on breast 1 while I use light suction on breast 2 with Haaka. Then nurse baby on breast 2 with deeper suction on breast 1.
Once baby finishes nursing on breast 2 should I use Haaka again? Or should that end the nursing session?
Correct! Only use the Haakaa while baby is nursing on either breast. After baby is done nursing, you’re done with the Haakaa too.

Do you need to squeeze the base continually as you have it attached or just leave it on and not squeeze it?
A haakaa is NOT needed to establish a supply or "prevent" low supply. Also a haakaa is NOT a pump, it is a passive milk collector, it will not provide stimulation to keep supply up like a baby or pump. This is bad information - as an IBCLC you should be practicing more ethically.
To describe it as "passive" is incorrect, it applies a light vacuum.
@@apebass2215it's literally what they are called, passive milk collectors. Exactly because all they do is apply light suction. I'm a board certified lactation consultant.
