Freeze did say 2025 was the year, and I will hold that to him. Last year we snuck away from a lot of games so it’s not like we were any better as a football team. Regardless of this season I think we should look forward and let freeze prove himself next season. If we fire freeze the process is just going to start all over again. Rome wasn’t built in a day.
I just don't like banking on the portal for a QB because who's to say that there will be some good quality QBS to choose from? That's why you play Hank to get a better evaluation on him and no I'm not talking a half or as soon as he makes a mistake pull him out no give him the same opportunity you gave thorne and coach him up

Bottom line is it’s time to turn the page on Peyton Thorne as quarterback and move forward with Hank Brown. Give the younger guys expand a chance to develop. Peyton has hit his ceiling and he’s not improving.🦅🏈

Even in the best case scenario, I just didn't see 2024 being anything like a 2010/2013 kind of season. I had them at 7 wins in the regular season and 8 with a bowl win. 8-5 in year 2 of a rebuild would not have been too shabby. I would never have thought 2-5 with a 4 game skid with wins only over Alabama A&M and New Mexico. Next year, there MUST be significant strides. Knight coming in is HUGE

I used to play football, coached football, officiated football and even was a stadium announcer for several years. My formula for winning when I was a coach was that it was imperative of me and staff to "keep the fire lit" under the butts of our players until the final whistle; and that's the very reason Cadillac Williams was so successful with an abysmal team 3 seasons ago. He kept that fire lit and the players began to "believe!" I've seen no consistent fire since then. Additionally, I used to tell our players that they have a full tank of gas at kickoff and not a drop should be left in their tank when the game is over. Few players on this team end the game with a depleted gas tank! So much of football is having the right mindset. Darrell Daprich has a sign hanging behind him that says "Be Better Than Yesterday!" Take heed Tigers......you're too talented to play or should I say "unplay" like you have been doing. Auburn obviously has talent. Despite the losses and mistakes, I have noticed we have a secondary and WR core that is better than we have had in almost a decade. While the expectations were super high, maybe the actual team is surprised at how close these games have been and how good they actually are. Fans might be disappointed, imagine how the players feel when they most likely didn't believe they had the potential to be 5-1 by now.

I was talking to my dad about this and tell him I see improvement every week that Auburn didn't really make that many mistakes last week. They just couldn't close the deal. That's their major problem right now. They just can not finish a game, but they are competitive.
Hugh bought a barn find ‘99 catfish Z28 with a blown engine and transmission. It takes time and money to rebuild a 1400hp 7 second drag car. Gotta strip it down, fabricate the frame, plumb and wire the entire thing and test. Gotta be careful though, if you run it too hard too soon then the old parts start to wear out the new ones prematurely 🤷♂️

When it comes to if players stay or leave, Actions speak louder than words and money talks. We will see what happens, but tampering will happen... I like the tweets and comments of commitment, but I want to see the young people stay and buy in for the spring and let's get a QB.
The element that we are missing is on offense in a QB that can make things happen with his feet and arm. When Freeze is able to put this into play AU will start winning!!. The fans are just frustrated. We're all hanging in to see Auburn start winning.
When you are in the bottom of the hole, there is no where to go but up. I think that is why there is still fan interest. At some point, the climb will start, maybe not with these coaches and players, but time will tell.

I believe in what they're building. Coach Freeze was so transparent and made it clear he's got to get back to his old ways of not worrying. I think it rubs off on the players. They have to have a good attitude and all be on that page that we are going out there to explode on every play. Win or lose were going to put it all out there and make those passes. If a pass gets dropped get the next one. Don't hang your head. We're going to continue to just give it all and not worry that we may not make that play. Owell. Just put that fire in the eyes and let the other team know we ain't going to play conservative. Just put it all out there every play. No matter what.
If this is true then I expect to see several player's benched especially Thorne. If we are going to lose and say we are building the future. THEN play the future. Bench anyone who is not playing to win... do not tell me we are building the future and give Thorne even one more down.
Freeze did better last year with Harsin's players. He has done a lot of recruiting since then and the team has gotten worse. Not sure what to think anymore. Next year will tell the tale about Freeze.
Only the older guys are looking bad, the freshmen are looking good. So recruiting is showing. Takes more than 1 1/2 recruiting classes to build a program.. More than half Harsin players transferred out or went NFL early. CHF had to patch with hit or miss Transfer Portal guys.
You can't say we are still "sold out" for Vandy and A & M. Those were sold out when we still had hope. Its not like Auburn will give you your money back to turn in the ticket. The key is who will show up to the game.

Great, the recruits are staying (for now), but you can't keep saying how much of a team this is in shambles as the win/loss record is worse than last year. The element that we are missing is on offense in a QB that can make things happen with his feet and arm. When Freeze is able to put this into play AU will start winning!!. The fans are just frustrated. We're all hanging in to see Auburn start winning.

I believe in what they're building. Coach Freeze was so transparent and made it clear he's got to get back to his old ways of not worrying. I think it rubs off on the players. They have to have a good attitude and all be on that page that we are going out there to explode on every play. Win or lose were going to put it all out there and make those passes. If a pass gets dropped get the next one. Don't hang your head. We're going to continue to just give it all and not worry that we may not make that play. Owell. Just put that fire in the eyes and let the other team know we ain't going to play conservative. Just put it all out there every play. No matter what.
If this is true then I expect to see several player's benched especially Thorne. If we are going to lose and say we are building the future. THEN play the future. Bench anyone who is not playing to win... do not tell me we are building the future and give Thorne even one more down.

Freeze did better last year with Harsin's players. He has done a lot of recruiting since then and the team has gotten worse. Not sure what to think anymore. Next year will tell the tale about Freeze.
Only the older guys are looking bad, the freshmen are looking good. So recruiting is showing. Takes more than 1 1/2 recruiting classes to build a program.. More than half Harsin players transferred out or went NFL early. CHF had to patch with hit or miss Transfer Portal guys.

Great, the recruits are staying (for now), but you can't keep saying how much of a team this is in shambles as the win/loss record is worse than last year. Open your eyes and see the poor coaching that is going on. HF even said he needs "erasers" to counter a bad play call. 2-5 and it is not acceptable. You can't blame these losses on BH. HF had a better record this time last year with a "lesser" roster and now he has his players. Keep staring away and ignorinf it though. Nothing excuses the decisions made by this coach. He looks lost and doesn't know what to do.

Coach Freeze like every other Coach had to figure out the transfer portal and managing a team with the new portal landscape. Coach had to hit the portal hard coming in late and with the previous staff having little to none relationships built with high school recruits. You know that our OL and DL had to be built up. Try coming up with something positive to put out. Not all fans want to hear our Coach ( who has not magically forgotten how to coach btw zac) and players trashed to no in ! Okay , rant over.
