i changed out my headlights with some aftermarket ones from ebay. my first light took 90 minutes. the second one took 25 minutes this task is simple. you just have to be careful when maneuvering the headlights in and out and also be ready to do some bending down and poasibly laying down when removing all of the bolts behind the fender liner and no you dont have to renove your wheels just turn them.
Does mercedes hire the smartest engineers on the planet and commission them to design a car where the most trivial act of maintenance is almost impossible without taking the whole car apart?
You don’t need you fully remove the bumper, you just need to pop it off slightly. That should give you enough room to remove the headlight and reveal the hidden bolts.
Basicly, there is 3 lamps in one,the intel lamp, the led at the corner, and kind of hologen/bohlam at the midle, My question is,this one,the lamp at the midle, what type of that lamp?. Sometime my headlight is off,the left side, and back to normal within hours,is there something problem with my baterai or something else?
Alright so the main “ low beam “is the main lamp close to the corner. The high beams are next to the big lamp. It’s closer to the grill. The turn signal are below both lamps
@@Fwerks.1592 mine, 2013 W204 c250 AMG. There is 3 lamps above the turn signal, the intel lamp at the corner,,and kind of white LED at the other corner, and kind of hologen/bohlam at the midle.
To be honest I’m looking at both 09 and 12 headlight assemblies. The 2012 have a curved at the top and the 09 run straight from the top . They might not fit to be honest.
to do that pal , all u have to do is buy a new bonnet 'hood ' of a facelift model , and then fit the facelift headlights , urs is w204 prefacelift and the only difference apart of interior and dash , outsite is the bonnet that is curved in front ... find a front bonnet and u will be able to do the facelift
@@Fwerks.1592 did you do a full module scan? It should give you a code saying the module is not configured, where you then have to do variant coding to program it. I had to on mine the same model. The programming information is on the headlamp assembly. If search, there are many videos showing how to do this.
@@apadgett01 I scanned the vehicle and I did not get any codes for any modules. Are you sure you have the same headlamps as mine? You have the ones that have the projector lenses and then you have the ones with the halogen bulbs.
@@Fwerks.1592 they may be different. I have the Xenon motorized ones (adaptive). Do those have no motor for automatic adjustment (leveling, steering sensor, etc)?
Im about to attempt this tomorrow. Thanks for posting this. I don't think the bumper need to be removed entirely
My brother LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ON W204 MERCEDES helps alot of us ...

It's insane what you have to remove just to get to something that's very simple!
@@Fwerks.1592 I know. I tried to change the starter on mine.. once the first exhaust bolt broke off, I had it sent to a shop lol
@@gregkirby no kidding!!! They don’t make the cars like they used to though lol
Then you should get an Cayenne and pop them out easly?😮
justo el video que buscaba! gracias!

Change the bonnet lights and the bumper
Can it be done without taking the bumper off?
Yes, all you have to do it pry open the bumper slightly to get access to the headlight bolts. You do not need to remove the entire bumper.
So basically to change the light bulb you have to do the same thing???
If your trying to replace the low beams, you should be able to gain access from the engine bay. Let me double check and I’ll let you know!
will a c300 headlight unit fit on a c250?
thank you
Anytime brother!
do you have a link for the HID setup?
Yea sir! Here is the link I got them from. Any other questions feel free to ask!

No program needed. It was plug and with no faults.

Man that’s a lot of work 🤦🏽🤦🏽
It’s a little involved! But nothing too hard, just put some good music and and a six pack of your favorite beverage. You’ll be fine lol.
This looks like a hassle
I’ll be honest lol It can definitely be a hassle when removing the bumper!
😅
So stupid design, need to remove all that just to replace headlights💩
