I thought Sarah did a fantastic job interviewing the King of Comedy. She was respectful and it was obvious how much she admired and loved him as a good many of us do.
I love how no matter how old he is, how much less energy he displays or talks, when he looks at someone you can see the same amount of life that's always been there
I'm not old enough to be watching AARP but I've sat and watched a bunch of these. Really quality guest. Sarah is just funny as heck and Don Rickles is one of the top of all times.
I love the way Don would pick on someone and then at the end of it all he would have the kindest words for them....."I mean this in all sincerity...." One of the best ever.
Wow, thank you Sarah for doing this!! I've loved Don forever. I got to do a few nights with him several years ago, (in the band,) and he would nail me every night during his show! What an honor, being zinged by Rickles!! This is so cool and beautiful. Thanks again.
Jon Blondell, that's so cool! As fellow musician and former band guy, that would be the highlight of my life - to play a show with and get teased by Mr. Rickles.
Don Rickles was an amazing talent that will be sorely missed. No one will ever be like him...It's a Blessing we had as much time as we did with such an talented gentleman. His humor is timeless. God Bless Don, I'm sure you've got Him cracking up in heaven.
You don't have to be a comedienne to be inspired by Don Rickles' humor. He was a great influence in my life because he taught us all how to laugh at ourselves. RIP and thanks for all the laughs. Try not to get kicked out of heaven, which is where all the best hecklers go because ours is a forgiving God. Sarah, I am so glad you got to meet this awesome man, and that he got to meet you!
Rickles always has an expression and vibe that says, "I used to sit with the rat pack, I had Sinatra on speed dial and now I'm here talking to unfunny infants"
Sure, but she's (normally) actually funny. Not in this video, admittedly, but she was trying so hard to be respectful instead of insulting Don back like she should have.
I remember watching him on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson as a teenager and I’d die laughing. He was one of my favorite guests ever. Charles Grodin was awesome too. 👍
I did a impromptu skit on stage with Don on my first Honeymoon in 1983. We got a great response from the crowd. Many thought I was a plant by Harrah's.
He was on having Coffee in Cars with Jerry Seinfeld. That show always starts with Jerry calling the guest. So Jerry calls Don before picking him up. Don says “Are you Ok Jerry? Is everything Ok? Do you need money Jerry?”. The man was a classic.
Sarah, you had a clear picture of Don which few people had. And those that knew him best lived to be insulted by him. And, of course, all the top comedians adored Don. Take a look at Vince Vaughn's interview. Quite good.
I grew up watching Don Rickles and I loved him and his sarcastic jokes. There will never be another Don Rickles, was a true legend and will always be one in my eyes. Don Rickles you are truly missed. Rip
@Ulysses432 Well you have demonstrated your intelligence - lack of it by assuming a strangers intelligence. Silverman is a dumb American comic, though to guys like you seem intelligent, as you measure her relative to yourself.
i'm not so into her comedy but i also have a lot of respect for her. she's a notable name in the alt-comedy scene in the 90s. i feel the same about maria bambford.
To me her answer to the L. CK stuff was really honest. It's ok to be conflicted and both hate what a person did and love the person still. Even murderers have friends still visiting them in prison
I went from hating her to hating her even more! How dare she wrap that up by deciding whether she thinks Don Rickles is a racist or not? Typical liberal jerk-off thinks that anyone cares about her opinion! She degraded a legend!
@@BrianKishreviews She climbed the ladder by being as offensive as possible, and as soon as she made it to the top, she's doing her best to kick it over so no one else can climb it. PC unfunny garbage hack.
@Christopher Marlowe Well, that's your opinion. I happen to find Sarah a very talented and funny lady. Although I rate Gilda Radner and Amy Poehler as my favorite female comics, Sarah is way up there. Cecily Strong, too.
In her own way Sarah does something similar to Don- she's really sweet but she can say really raunchy edgy or controversial things and gets away with it most of the time. in today's PC culture it's probably more difficult than it was in Rickle's day
I wish any of these comedians would let Don get in a few words and stories. I would say Sarah, Vince, Billy, etc., all love him and are just excited, but it seems they merely like the sound of their own voice. Don is generous and doesn’t interrupt.
Her: “You ever get into a fist fight?”
Don: “No I have people that do that for me..”
I love OGs like Don 💯💯🔥
I Love Don Sarah 2 comics,❤️❤️❤️❤️😎🥇🥇💯😋🌹🐍👌😍🥧🙏☮️🙏
Sir Rickles became the coolest old guy ever, his laughs he gave us live forever.

"This is a Jew making fun of everyone including himself and meaning none of it."
Best description of Don Rickles I've ever heard.
Yes, I think that Sarah summed him up, best.
She's pretty good, herself. And, easy on the eyes.
And he is so sincere about it .
That "Come on, Frank, can't you see I'm eating?!" bit on Carson is one of the funniest fucking stories ever

This is the only time we'll see Mr. Potato Head and Vanellope Von Schweetz in the same room. RIP Don
Omg you're right.
Don Rickles is probably one of the best comics of all time. He definitely shaped my sense of humor. He's the best. R.I.P Don.
Easily the best to ever do it ❤ RIP DON 👑

I love how Sarah talked about Mr. Rickles at the end.
Don Rickles sharp at 90. Sara respect to you for honoring him.
This brings me so much joy and yet sadness. They only made one don. I will always miss you.
Truly, no one else like him, not even close. Thanks Don for making me laugh!

"... Are you sure he didn't get JFK killed?"
Don smiles [yes, he did].
Asking the real questions out here.
He smiles and says nothing because he thinks it's a stupid question.

Beautiful interview Sarah, you are so good you had him laughing. Thanx.

Love them both. Look at him. He's a thousand years old and still holding his own w the quips.
I think he mellowed a lot after his son passed.
I didn't know he lost a child

I think Sarah hot just the right tone with Don Rickles. She should be applauded for the finesse, love and class she showed toward him.
I love both of these people.
Uh oh. I just realized people warned me about 8 hour binges on this show. I'm getting close.
My favorite episode. I will always love Bob Newhart but then what's not to love.
Watched every single one of these.
The giggle at the JFK joke…..omg ….hilarious
I always loved him he does look tired you were the best !!🙏❤️
Great interview, love Sarah!

Don Rickles is the greatest and Sarah is awesome too. She's easy on the eyes!
another great interview!!!!

Never ever think I laughed about Sarah Silverman. But love Don.
oh my, I actually liked Sarah in this.
Bill bartman still dont she doesnt deserve this lol
Fun fact Sara is only 13 years younger than Don
I love both these people. Don was really showing his age by this stage, but still quick :)
Silverman and Rickles. Two extremely funny people...before they tell a single joke. Some people are just funny.
Silverman is about as funny as cancer.
@Ulysses432 Well you have demonstrated your intelligence - lack of it by assuming a strangers intelligence. Silverman is a dumb American comic, though to guys like you seem intelligent, as you measure her relative to yourself.
Between listening to Silverman's Stern interview and now this, I went from being annoyed by her to loving her. I love when that happens.

Sarah❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sir Don rickles , the real og. Love from India.
I would give every penny I have for a single conversation with Don Rickles.
In my best Don Rickles voice, "What you got 5 bucks in your pocket?"
You will have to dig him up first.
Couldn't afford the clubs, but didn't miss a TV appearance if I could help it. Loved him.
its like watching a loving grandad speak to his grand daughter
When this was shot Don must have been very close to the end. What a trooper.
Don Rickles: She is a million laughs this girl lol 😆😂
i miss him so much Rip ...
Fantastic all around! 🏆👏

Not finding people funny does not equate to being afraid of them. Go sell your crazy someplace else.
@Christopher Marlowe Well, that's your opinion. I happen to find Sarah a very talented and funny lady. Although I rate Gilda Radner and Amy Poehler as my favorite female comics, Sarah is way up there. Cecily Strong, too.
She talks too much and isnt funny
This was well done.
Beautiful.
Was this filmed before or after his death?
After his death.

At least he didn't complain how rude it was and got triggered by the joke. Give the kid a chance.

Sarah Silverman exhibits superior intellect. She correctly pronounces February (Fe-brew-ary) I'm in love.
Love these 2
Don Rickles and, in this video, Frank Sinatra were absolutely priceless as entertainers. They will both be sorely missed.
God that was so sweet!
He was the Biggest GOAT of all time. Sarah Really Loved him and just makes me a bit more of a fan of hers then I already was.
