The global version of this mid-range Android smartphone sadly scales down the power, with a lesser Dimensity chipset running the show. I did see some judders and shakes here and there, especially when playing games like Genshin Impact on higher graphics. Still, you can get gaming on the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G if you drop the settings.
Battery life is an absolute highlight, while ColorOS serves up quite a few good AI features. Website summary, photo editing, etc - all familiar, but well implemented. And the Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G's camera is on the whole dependable too. Occasionally it's foiled by bright light or movement, but otherwise good stuff.

Wow, the Reno 12 Pro looks amazing! That AI Portrait Camera has me seriously considering an upgrade. I think the Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset seems very interesting one in terms of the performance.

I have now oppo reno 6 pro 5G gaming version. waiting for delivery oppo reno 12 pro 5G. I love my reno 6 pro. And i can't wait for new one. I always was big fan of sony. unfortunatly now they don't have interesting model. Oppo is made on sony components so this is why they have very good product

@@minskeybeautyenterprise4991 When the OnePlus12 came out, it retailed for$899.99. They knocked off $99.99 from the price, then dropped an additional $99.99 for trade in of any device in any condition. Which made it $699.99.
This is in America, I know prices are different in other countries. If they do the same thing for the 13, you can expect a somewhat similar price.

I reckon it must be hard to review mid rangers - almost harder than flagships. While the likes of Apples iPhones are hardly distinguishable (if at all) these days - and the Samsungs also regress to offer progress only in a miniscule scale. Midrangers used to be a bit more daring .. (the Galaxy A80 with its swivel camera, the many pop-up, slide up or turn around cameras, the popping colours and overall design like the Essential phone, the HTC U Ultra with sapphire screen etc. ) - but these days, the mid rangers look interchangable and overall ... quite boring, too.

Gorgeous looking phone. A 6.1 incher would have been a banger. Autofocus in Selfie shooter is a great plus. Ois would have been icing on cake. Only downside is that 50mp zoom sensor wasted for just 2x zoom. 3.5x zoom would have been right
Like everything Oppo and oneplus, it's a very nice design. They did a nice job of making the bezels nearly disappear. Although, I do prefer a curved display over a flat screen.

AI features are everywhere these days and I f*cking hate it!!
AI was everywhere already.
Almost every smartphone camera feature is basically AI. HDR, night mode, portrait mode.
I know what you mean. I tested a lot of phone's the last week's and I didn't like the most of it's photos because of horrible AI retouch. Sometimes it looks absolutely not natural, sometimes colors are wrong, sometimes the brightness is totally wrong. My old oppo phone didn't have this problems. Just (still) good pictures.

@@TheScepticalThinker1 yes and you can't do anything to turn it off. For example when I want to take a photo it looks good in the phone display but after I took the picture it changed in an unnatural looking photo because of the automatic AI retouch.

Yes I still love my old oppo phone since years. But now it's time for something new, but the decision is more than difficult this time :/ tested a lot of phone's the last week's which I didn't liked :/ where are the phones which just take beautiful good photos without crazy AI retouch, which make the photos looks unnatural , especially in colors and brightness. For example when I take a photo of my living room I don't want it that the floor is in a complety different colour in the photo result 😅
