I remember Octopus well- gorgeous!! She dropped by to visit Bermuda while I was living there. My cottage was on the water right next to White's Island in Hamilton Harbour. Octopus was anchored just off White's Island and across from the Royal Bermuda Yacht club. One weekend I took my sea kayak out to paddle around Octopus. I guess I got a little close to the open integrated dock, and two jet skis piloted by ex-navy seals (Octopus security) came to have a chat. Very polite guys, but they were completely unmoved by my pleas for a tour! :) Living inside Hamilton Harbour, with my patio overlooking the water, I saw more than a few super/giga yachts anchor barely a stones throw away from me, but Octopus was completely unique- my favorite part of her is that she looks functional, like she can do something beyond just sitting at anchor in Monaco.
I'm in no position to even speculate which super yacht I would own. Love your channel and the way you present these wonderful floating works of art with their engineering marvels.
I absolutely love M/Y Ace. For a lot of reasons. Owner's suite to the aft rather than forward for one thing. but the big one for me? The care given to the crew space. huge crew mess on the main deck with big windows and a balcony. second crew lounge area belowdecks. Happy crew, happy you. They work so hard to give the guests/owners the ultimate experience. They deserve a beautiful, non-cramped space to relax in.
Lady Moura without a doubt. In every shot of Monte Carlo and the harbor there she is at her permanent berth. She is the good life personified!! I still love her unique design and find it aging extremely well. And the build is of such pedigree. I also adore Valerie. That private top deck pool is EVERYTHING!!
I stayed in a hotel on Ibiza harbour and watched the amazing Kismet (No. 4 in this video) being docked. It took about an hour to manoeuvre it into position. It has a 60ft support boat which clears its path and accommodates some of the crew members. It was fascinating to watch a Range Rover Sport negotiating its way out of a small hatch and down a precarious looking ramp and into dock. Anyway, the reason I'm posting is that I witnessed a family disembarking the yacht and I cannot say they looked happy. Transversely, those families I saw on 35 to 65 foot boats seemed delirious - intoxicated by sunshine and the excitement and freedom of life on the sea. As spectacular as these mega-yachts are, I think they miss the point of boating - which is to have fun.
OK, so I thought I had a few quid....but you really pissed me off ; ) As ever I enjoy your content. Hope you all enjoy Christmas and Happy New Year : )
I’m head of acquisitions for my buyer so watch these being sold starting w Octopus and 3 more. Thank you for posting. Our sovereign trust is ready to buy!
Octopus suits my fancy just fine. I'm a go anywhere anytime type of guy. She has beautiful rugged lines and plenty of toys. I would certainly invite you along to document the adventures. *we would need to fashion some sort of sling system to load and unload the fleet of Porsches on the quest of the perfect driving road. Keep up the great videos and Happy Holidays.
I’m gonna say Kismet. Simply because I just like her lines. That’s all. Oh I almost forgot, thanks for the vid, I enjoyed it. All the best for 2021 mate 👍
Would have loved to see more of the interiors. That is more important than exterior on a yacht. To me, the "seven sins" is still my favorite yacht, though it is much snakker and cheaper than these.
A minor correction that could mean a lot to someone from the region, given geo-political animosities: Shahid Khan -- who arrived in the US with literally nothing and became a driving force in auto-body replacement parts (and other industries) -- was born in Lahore, Pakistan, not India. I'm one of your early subscribers. Your work keeps improving. Great channel(s). I look forward to every video. Thank you!
The Octopus is 17 years old! Wow! She is still a Wanderer Beauty! I'm going to purchase the Flying Fox and turn her into an asset during these Challenging Times.
If I had billions, I would buy both Octopus and Luminosity. Octopus for arctic adventures since it has an ice rating and Luminosity for sunny beach locations like the med, Bahamas, Maldives and Thailand. Can you imagine sitting on the deck of Octopus sipping Irish coffee while watching the aurora borealis.
Great video. Like the quick facts. Maybe you’ve been asked this but what job did you do on a boat. You sound like engineering but thought I’d ask. Great vids.
Once again very informative video, hopefully your having a great Christmas break! Some of us are working to save enough money to pay for our phone so I can watch your RUclips videos 🤓 there’s some sketchy billionaires there too mentioned, beautiful yachts though super high end luxury, I would be happy just to own the tender 😂😂😂👍🏻💦⚓️have a wonderful new year and keep up the great work
Thank u very much, for this video mega yacht experience. I think in the future we will se more Hybrid and full electrical boats and yachts. I prefer the SILENT 80 solar and full electrical yacht.
Another excellent video clip Amigo, but perhaps needs updating..? Octopus has now been Reduced in price to "Only" 235 Million Euro's...!! But with a crew of 63 alone, it is Not just the price it's the Running expenses..! As they say, " If you need to ask how much, you Obviously can't afford it.."! I do agree with your comments though, she is "The" iconic Superyacht. I can well understand your dream to one day , sail on her..!
Ace (Little Penthouse), Barbara (Luxury Cottage), Kismet (Elegant Mansion), Luminosity (High Rise Penthouse/ Office), Amadea another (Penthouse Mansion), Octopus (Explorer yacht with all of the toys) All of them I mean they just brought their asking price down to an affordable amount. Might as well splurge a little.
i share your love of OCTOPUS But my favourite is KISMET ...... considering the cost of octopus i would buy KISMET & ACE and still have enough cash for a few cases of beer .... cheers lol
hi eSysman. I had a question about Octopus for long. What you think about its price considering its age? I know it's your favorite yacht but even after price reduction don't you think it's overpriced? ps
It's not her age, it's her size and confirmation. She's truly an exploration yacht and a true ship. She can't dock in the harbors which generally appeal to the "yachting" community. If she docks, it's at the cruise ship berths. Even Paul Allen owned other, smaller yachts. She's a yacht for someone who already has a smaller yacht to do the chic-Med/Caribbean cruise bit with and wants to do serious ocean exploration. That market is very, very small.
From this list, I would take _Octopus,_ because a luxury ice-rated yacht is just awesome! There's a nice uniqueness and toughness about yachts designed for the ice that sets them apart. My second choice would be _Lady Moura,_ because of the 30 guests. Why 30 guests? Three words: *Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.* Being able to give those ladies a gift of a week-long charter would be amazing. I'd have to tag along myself, of course. ;) A yacht that isn't on this list that I would love is _Solo._ I love the interior of that ship, especially the bedrooms and engine room. Thanks for your videos!
I love Ace. Her interior design in exquisite
Check out Fraser's walk-through video of her. Pay attention to her staircases.

And, the 'running shoe' reference below was spot-on ! lol

My ultimate favorite is Amadea. Wish she would come on the charter market. Has a fantastic interior
How do you know that?
I wouldn't be bashful at all, any one of them I'd love to own, tour, stare at !!!! BRAVO AND WELL DONE !!! They are all beautiful.
Luminosity is my favorite one, also the greenest. In love already.
Octopus by a mile. In addition to her history, she has timeless elegance. Too many other yachts look like floating running shoes.
Yepp, seems like the only one you could do something useful with. I'd go look for MH370 with it.
Agree and purpose build with equipment for something much more interesting and meaningful than to just impress.
I’ll give you 2 Bitcoin for her
Agree, let’s go halvies? 😂
Nah, she looks like a commercial ship.
Now that’s a Christmas Wish List! Thanks for another video. Have a Merry Christmas.

Octopus, by far, is the best of the list
OK, so I thought I had a few quid....but you really pissed me off ; )

Just a look around or quick ride on one of these would make my day😂👍👍👍quality beasts.
And there was your thumbnail making me think I was going to get my hands on Flying Fox.
i was blown away by the fact that octopus has a hanger for 2 helicopter and still have room for a submarin and large tender
Yes but it has to cut some corners to make space. For example there is no on-board Poundland.
@@darthkek1953 gutted. ☹️😭
@@ashotofmercury I was literally sick with heartbreak.
Tranquility and Ace stand out for me! Octopus is a legend but personally for me a bit too big. Great compilation. Keep up the great work!
Love your content! Sophisticated with a hint of humor. It’s perfect.
Thanks
Hi there I'm Caesar I'm from Canada and you
I had the pleasure of seeing and walking up to the Lady Moura in Monaco 2012. Quite a sight to see.
They are all impressive, but I would purchase the Octopus. I like her research capabilities. Well done. Thank you! 💕
Octopus for sure!! So many toys! And 2nd would be Luminosity
I do really appreciate the imperial battle cruisers that Lurssen makes for our overlords. But I'm a simple man. I want octopus and I want it now.
yör gönna get mäd kövv
Love the look of Luminosity. It's so pretty at night. I do love Octopus too. 🐙 It does have that wow factor to it.
Nicely produced video. No fat, all concise info and good video. Good job!
07:30 got me! 👌🏻🤣🤣
Valerie has my flag on it!!!! woot woot!
Love the intro(your name on the yacht)Happy Holidays!
Hi there I'm Caesar I'm from Canada and
My first choice is Tranquility. Ice class, commercially built. Stunning looks. Great video thanks and Merry Christmas 🎅
In my dreams octopus nice video's cheers thank's for your information 👍

ACE would be my choice after watching a walk through video earlier
Yeah, I think I watched the same video as you did. The one from TheYachtGuy Official, maybe??
@@ADE1000SON Probably the official one from Fraiser who is the sale agent. They had a walkthrough with the captain
I adore the teal hull of Luminosity so that is the one I would get.
Happy New Year to you. Thanks for wonderful content and videos.
octopus is like the white elephant in the room. i would go with luminosity; attention to detail, artistic design value is crazy.
Looking forward for the amazingly up coming VARD REV
Octopus and then Lady Moura . In that order. great video as always.
Yup, still have checkbooks. Had to write a check to the body shop last week.
A great video, Octopus would be my choice, I have always loved her.
Great Christmas present, thank you . Luminosity and Octopus, either would be perfect. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you. 🎄🎉🍾🎊
Well done and love the humor ;)
I’m gonna say Kismet.
Simply because I just like her lines. That’s all.
Oh I almost forgot, thanks for the vid, I enjoyed it.
All the best for 2021 mate 👍
Like most viewers, it's got to be Octopus. It's size, history, pedigree and capabilities make it the most attractive and interesting of yachts.
Would have loved to see more of the interiors. That is more important than exterior on a yacht.
To me, the "seven sins" is still my favorite yacht, though it is much snakker and cheaper than these.
I'm probably the loner here, but "ACE" was amazing.

What about a video of the top 10 yachts under 50 million !
The Octopus is 17 years old! Wow! She is still a Wanderer Beauty!
I'm going to purchase the Flying Fox and turn her into an asset during these Challenging Times.
Great review of these Awesome yachts. I would liked to have seen more interior views.
My yacht is like my Ferrari, I don’t have a Ferrari.
Ya, my Ferrari is like your yacht!
@@brotherdave9972 yeah bro i hear u. i would like to buy the octopus, i will change name to octopussy. i like pussy
If by Ferrari you mean a 2002 Honda Civic with damage from a kamikaze deer, than yup, I’ve right there with you.
😂 love it!
Octopus yacht is my favorite yacht but i all so really love the way Amadea looks

I saw Sunrays in person when the f1 came to Jeddah for the first time, such a beauty of a yacht
Fantastic!!! Love this video. Love the boats - beautiful.
BEAUTIFUL!!! Number 4
Thoroughly enjoyable
Wrll researched. Well done.

Yes yes yes
Yesh! Yesh! Yesh!
Ugh ugh ugh
Nah, looks like a commercial ship.
Has been built by Lürssen in my hometown Bremen... :) When you're lucky you can see the launching of their Yachts (mostly in Kiel). It's pretty cool.
I like that knife edge bow of the Luminous. Is that design better or worse than the standard bow design?
the amadea is just perfect
I saw octopus in Greece a few years back it is the biggest boat I have ever seen in my life except a cruise liner.
I like definitely Ace that’s my n# 1 !
Wow I love yachts ..I won't number 4..haha I wish
i share your love of OCTOPUS But my favourite is KISMET ...... considering the cost of octopus i would buy KISMET & ACE and still have enough cash for a few cases of beer .... cheers lol
Always Octopus the best!
Tatianna is still my favorite super yacht but Octopus is a very close second.
Luminosity is top for me.
BTW awesome video!
Impressive!👍🛥
lovely ACE
I absolutely Love Motor yacht Ace ❤️
Very interesting about your channel in my heart
Would love to choose just one super mega number 1 yacht to be combination of Luminosity, Amadea, and Octopus. That would be perfect.

Great yachts, all I have to do is become a billionaire. But if I did I build my own Giga Yacht. Great video have a Happy New Years🎉
1.Luminosity 2.Amadea 3Lady Moura
For the type of lifestyle I would have if I were a billionaire, I would choose Luminosity without any hesitation.
Cheque books???
