    As much snow as Minnesota gets you'd think these drivers would have a clue by now.. I'm sure most of these folks aren't in their first year on the road.

      I'm from there. Just like most places, a lot of people are way too impatient on the roads and have a false sense of security in their vehicles. It's usually the bigger ones that crash from going or stopping too fast. AWD can help a little, but ice is the ultimate equalizer lol.

    There was a truck that spun out on 694 last night that speed pass me in my subaru with winter tires. I caught up to him just a mile a way seeing him in the ditch just by the intersection on 35e north heading towards Duluth and Little Canada.

    U know what they ALL have in common? Theyre all going too fast! 80% are bigger vehicles. It dont matter if your vehicle is the size of a semi or as small as a bug, u will still slip and loose control at the end of the day. The only difference is the bigger the vehicle the more damage u can do to others so drive responsible and slow. We all have places we need to get to also. ❤

      @opinion8ed153 What they all have in common. All season tires with a low profile and wide foot print. NOT the best thing for winter.

    • @ducewags
      @ducewags 4 месяца назад

      @@SHREDTILLDEAD Tell that to any truck driver running super-singles in snow now days. Did we have issues like this 20+ years ago with low profile tires and wide foot prints like EVERY thing on the road has now days? NOPE. Did we have As and Ts getting stuck on tall skinny tires back in the day? NOPE. Did farmers get stuck with a tall skinny tire in the snow back in the day? NOPE. What is the best foot print for snow and ice? Narrow or skinny as you get more ground pressure that gives better traction. Simple logic that not one person has now days. And have a nice day.

    So many pickup truck causes the accident just because you have off road tires and a big truck doesn’t mean you won’t lose control and slide if a semi is big and can flip over so can you.

      I'm a slow driver in snow. Snow freaks me out and I've lived in the snow belt my whole life. I stay off the highways when they are snowy/icy. I take the side roads to work 25 miles away. Adds about 30 minutes to my drive. But I'm sipping Starbucks and listening to my podcast chilling the whole way.
      I like to think my fellow drivers are less stressed not having me on the highway as well 😅
