    Hi Guys,
Watching your series today and thank goodness I did. We are planning this trip for next month and were thinking of doing the Croatia route… had no idea our dogs would need a titer for Albania etc…. So we will be doing the route you did.
How long was your whole trip?

The first day we drove through France Belgium and Luxembourg into Germany where we stayed for 2 nights so that the dogs could get a 3 year rabies booster. Then we did another night in Germany close to Austrian border. One night in Austria. Then 3 nights in Hungary Budapest but that was because the dog had to see the vet again due to her paw cut. So it then took us half a day to drive down from Budapest to close to the Romanian border. We drove down through Romania and into Bulgaria in a day. Then through Bulgaria into Greece the following day. They were long drive days between 6-9 hours but our goal was to maximise our time in Greece.
We did speak to other dog owners in Greece who had gone through Albania and Montenegro and didn’t have their dog paperwork checked at all but we didn’t want to risk being stopped and our dogs not being allowed out
We spent about 6-7 weeks in Greece and then took the ferry to Italy and drove back that way

@@Doggonemotorhomeadventures sorry I’m jumping ahead in your videos here, but was the ferry between Italy and Greece ok, was it a camping on board one?
I’ll be watching your next instalment in a minute 👍

@@redsgotravels yes we did camping on board Patras to Bari and all good but a bit chaotic as to getting on the ferry from Greece as you need to pick up ticket from building and then head to the boat but no signs or information to tell you this. Also when on board you need the boarding ticket to get the lift pass to go from van to lounge or rest of boat - again no information about this
Crossing was good for us as it was overnight so we slept through. Dogs didn’t have a wee etc but that was their choice so stopped as soon as possible once in Italy. Would do camping on board again.
