Irritable Bowel Disease cases surging in children and adults

Researchers are finding environmental factors are becoming increasingly more common causes of IBD, but doctors are still trying to figure out exactly what those factors could be, whether it's things in the diet, in processed foods, use of antibiotics or something else.

It’s either irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). No such thing as irritable bowel disease.

Yes I have IBS , i thought the same thing. Yes Crohn's is inflammatory not irritable. IBS is a syndrome it is not inflammatory. Crohn's is classified as IBD = INFLAMMATORY bowel disease. IBS = IRRITABLE bowel syndrome

I had ulcerative colitis, nothing worked except prednisone, ended up having an ileostomy.
