Great hike and place. Beautiful mount Everest. Like # 91. Excellent video and presentation Jennifer. Wonderful photos. Lovely sunny day and weather. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video.
Awesome trek. You had some fantastic weather. No clouds and clear views of Everest and adjacent peaks. So beautiful up there too. Hotel Everest had a great view. I would be a bit scared to cross that bridge too with all the traffic on it. I would have waited too. Well done. You are doing great with the climb and elevation gains. Awesome! Take care and have a great day.

@@ChristianPaulPhotography Hi again- thanks for taking the time to watch Christian! The views were great the first few days, but as we climbed above tree line the Wow factor really set in. This Monastery is very culturally significant to the Sherpa people. We had a brief tour, but no cameras were allowed. I hope you can plan a trek here too!! 👌👍🏔️🏔️ Jen 😄
Hi Bryan - I loved the views of Everest and the other mountain peaks - so impressive. I think of it as seeing giants among giants- you’re close enough to Everest that you can’t see the whole mountains! Once we got above tree line we finished with the suspension bridges- they’re not too bad once you’ve crossed a few!! Big thanks! Merry Christmas 😄🎄🎁☃️ Jen
This is outstanding section of the Everest Base Camp trek including some of the highest peaks in the world. What a feeling it is to be at an altitude of almost 4000 m, with the majestic peaks of the Himalayas rising above you. This is not just a trek, but a spiritual and visual experience 👍❤️
Thanks so much Vedrana! You’re so right! Trekking in the Himalayas is a spiritual journey- very inspiring… and humbling to see these grand peaks come into view before us! I loved learning the names! 👌 😉❤️🏔️🇳🇵
So many interesting things to see along the way. I thought those spinning prayer wheels were beautiful. You got some great shots of everest before the clouds rolled in. Looks like a nice place to stay.
The villages and views are really interesting, thanks Sarah! It was fun seeing the mountains on the map, then trying to match to which ones we were seeing. I enjoyed seeing the spinning prayer wheels too! You get a real feeling for the culture here as you’re trekking. Thanks! 🙌🙌🇳🇵🇳🇵
More great views there Jennifer, as you ascended what must have been a rather arduous but inspirational hike up to Tengboche. Very wise move , waiting for an uncrowded bridge crossing moment, prior to arriving at those very unique water powered, spinning prayer wheels. I'll bet that your simple little room provided a well deserved rest after another vigorous climb. You're energy and determination is amazing ; I sure wouldn't be able to do that. 🌄
You're very kind, thank you! The whole journey was quite inspirational for me. I loved seeing the prayer flags and prayer rocks and the various monasteries along the way. You are passing through the Nepali people's neighborhoods and farms and religious centers. Yes, the rooms were quite comfortable, especially considering how remote we were in the mountains. Well, if you can't go yourself, you're very welcome to come along with me!! Big thanks! :) - Jen
Everywhere you point the camera, grandeur and beauty! So cool that you saw those brown mountain goats too! 😀 Sounds scary that one of the djo got loose and ran across the bridge! I wouldn't want to get bumped on one of those steep trails or bridges.
It was quite a surprise and startling to those on the bridge! Fortunately the bridges are really sturdy and the animals cross every day, most of the time with no issues. Whew, we crossed paths with lots of animals on the main trail, they taught us early to stay to the inside. The animals weren’t interested in us at all and kept moving nicely, unless there was grass to nibble on, lol. I loved seeing the brown mountain goats - I hadn’t noticed them at first and walked right by- good thing Hari knew where to look! The mountains are pristine, quite impressive! Thanks T 😄🏔️🏔️🏔️☀️🇳🇵
Pretty hard to beat those views!! Wow. Top of the world. Great phone call too hahaha. Thanks for sharing this major bucket list hike. Worth the trip. Stunning 360. Take care.
Hey Alex- thanks, Bucket List for sure!! Wasn't that fun when we reached Steve- I told him later that I recorded the call and he's making a cameo appearance in the video!! lol. What an amazing adventure and hike you had. I have to admit, I'm a little envious. The scenery was breathtaking, with stunning views in every direction. Definitely cool Jennifer 🏔️👌🏻🤠 Just being amongst these Himalayan giants 🏔️🏔️ must of been almost spiritual ! Cool side hike up the the hotel a day well spent I’d say Superb stuff 🙏🏼🤠 Very best wishes Simon
Hi Simon- it sure was impressive and spiritual to be among these amazing giants! I loved having time to ponder them with clear views of so many from the Hotel patio. One of my new favorites is Ama Dablam, which we got to see for several days while trekking. The trek is really a wonderful adventure- thanks!! Happy Holidays- Merry Christmas!! Jen 🏔🏔🏔
@ yes Ama is very technical (way above my pay grade lol 😂 🏔️)I bet it was quite amazing to sit and look (sometimes when hiking we don’t look enough (I don’t at least)) but have great memories of rocks and boots 🥾 But to sit and look at the Himalayas with a coffee ☕️🏔️ oh boi 🙏🏼👌🏻🤠 Best wishes to Steven and your self for the holidays 🎄
@ We could see Ama quite well the next few days- and there was even one brand of bottled water that was Ama Dablam water- (we bought water all along the way.) Super cool, you must be much more familiar with all the other peaks there than I am. I didn’t realize there is at least one other Base Camp trek too. 👌🙌🙌
Gracias! Thank you! O yes, these mountains are beautiful! I loved seeing Mount Everest plus all the other tall giants! Gracias mi amigo! Feliz Navidad!
The views of the mountains were amazing. It would be neat to spend a few days at that yoga retreat. The mountain villages are so amazing and it would be enjoyable just to wander the streets and explore. It seems so odd to have so many helicopters flying about but I guess it's the easiest way to get around. Lol, love Steve's assessment of Everest! Such an amazing place to hike and see. Wow, the animal getting loose and running on the bridge sounds like a bit of a scary moment - suspension bridges can be a bit frightening even at the best of times. Hope you had a good Christmas, Jennifer!
@@DonnaTaibossigai Good morning Donna- hope you guys had a great Christmas too! The Yoga Retreat is in an amazing location- sure would be beautiful to spend some time there. I loved having blue skies and seeing so many of the tall mountain peaks. Ama Dablam is one of my new favorites. When the weather was clear, it seemed like lots of helicopters were moving goods up to the highest elevation villages. I think most trekkers and climbers go up on foot. I got used to crossing the suspension bridges, but that was a scary, unexpected moment for sure. The animal got spooked out there- thankfully no one got hurt! Great to have you join us, thanks so much for watching! 👌☀️🏔️🇳🇵❤️🤗 Jen
Just wow. Everything about this trek is wow. And Everest is getting closer and more magnificent and awe inspiring with every step. Looks like you were really going for it Jen and getting fitter as you went. Loved the fact that you went up to the hotel that first morning to get the view of Everest. Those suspension bridges look to be getting more dodgy each one you go over 😨. Really enjoyed following along again.
Hi Dave and Sue- thanks so much for following along on the trek! Yep, the suspensions bridges can be a bit challenging when they’re busy with people and the pack animals! Good thing there wasn’t a rush and I could wait before I crossed that time. 😆 Isn’t it breathtaking to see Everest as a trekker! Very humbling - thanks!! 👌😄☀️🏔️🇳🇵❤️ Jen
Hi Max! Yea, I think the elevation gains are the most challenging part of this particular trek! I had practiced hiking at around 10,000’ here in the States and wasn’t sure how it would feel there in the Himalayas. We modified the usual trek a bit to allow a couple more days and it worked for me, whew! We had some pretty amazing weather - loved seeing Everest in person. Big thanks my friend! 👌🏔️🏔️🏔️
Hello Jody- thanks! So great to hear form you! I just saw your video, very sad for you. Please reach out and I'll come see you, we can do something together if you like. You've got all your friends here on YT supporting you and here to help you get through this. You're not alone! Jen
Jen you did amazing, we are so impressed with your achievement and so surprised to know what the journey to base camp looks like. We thought it so strange but great that they had shops like Columbia there in the mountains 😃Bet that loose animal was scary... Loved your hotel room with the view of the monastery. Those bridges are something else though, wow ! Again we watched on the big tv and now commenting on my phone so may haveforgot something we were impressed with ! Fantastic viewing, we loved this 👏👍~ Anna
Thanks so much Anna and Alf- I really appreciate you watching and sharing your enthusiasm for the mountains and people! I was surprised to see the Columbia store too! This village is very busy in April and May- when the big Expeditions are heading up to Base Camp to attempt to summit Everest. This is the last place where they can pick up supplies they may have forgotten or realize they need. There are other trekking routes too, besides going to EBC, that come through this area. O yes, when the dzo red tanks dropped off and he ran through the people to get off the bridge, we all gasped a bit! One has to stay fully alert! Everyone was okay though, thank goodness. Our guide Hari told us not to cross when the animals were there, but I guess you can’t help if they start out behind and follow you. Each time I had to cross, I just waited until the area cleared out before I started. They don’t swing as much as you might guess, but I didn’t want to stop either, lol! Thanks again for your friendship! 😄💕 Jen 🏔️🏔️🇳🇵🇳🇵

O yes, sorry I haven’t visited with you for awhile… busy on the trip, now busy catching up at home, lol! How are you guys? We really enjoyed visiting India and Nepal. Thanks for watching and saying hi!! 😄🏔️🏔️🏔️ Jen
Hi, Jen! Watching your hike to the Everest View Hotel, I was a little worried because of your stuffy nose, your raw voice and your deep breathing. But you had recovered quickly and performed very well the second day up to the monastery. The weather was fine and the views were breathtaking. Crossing the bridge with so many people walking in both directions and with the cattle seems to be an adventure. You were patient enough to wait for the right moment.👍 Thanks for sharing and have a great time, Werner
Thanks so much Werner!! Yes, I did get a stuffy nose and dry throat, thank goodness I got enough to eat and plenty of water and recovered quickly, thanks!! I loved the views up at the Everest View Hotel- if I could go back I would try to stay there a couple nights!! Crossing the bridge when the cattle were there was too exciting :) lol. Thankfully I wasn't in a rush and could wait to cross, whew!! It's always a pleasure to hear from you. I hope you're enjoying the holidays... Steve and I made Christmas cookies tonight and listened to some of our favorite carols. Thanks, Jen :)
@JenniferLupine , sounds great! Have fun!...We receive visits from our children and grandchildren. They will stay with us over the holidays. There will be a bit of a “Griswolds” feeling. ;-)

Thanks Rafn! We're so happy to have you follow us on this adventure!! You too- wishing you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Washington State!! Jen
Your footage is stunning! Very crisp, clear picture! The mountains are breathtaking! 😍 Cute mountain goats. Are you saying the pack animals cross the suspension bridges? If so, that even scares me. Big nope. 😬 Your room was nice. Great video! 😃
@@IceBearHalfwayPoint Yep! The pack animals cross the suspension bridges!! It’s the only way up and down the mountains! It was pretty scary to see the one dzo sort of jump and then run through a line of 15-20 people to go ahead across the bridge. We’re guessing the rope broke that was holding his 2 big red propane tanks. Generally the animal handlers wait until there are few to no people to start across with their 15-20+ animals. If trekkers aren’t paying attention or stop it backs things up- I think everyone tries to have no animals and people on the bridges at the same time. When the pack animals reach the bridge to cross it’s hard to make them wait at the landing area, so trekkers have to pay attention / that’s when the guides are a huge help- they are much more tuned in. I’m happy you like the footage and mountains- fortunately we had lots of sunshine! 👌😉🏔️🏔️🏔️ Jen
@ How are you? Ready for Christmas? I’m hoping for a few quiet days - it’s been super rainy and windy here, but if it clears up we’ll hopefully get out for a walk. 👌😄 Do you still have snow?
@JenniferLupine I'm never ready for Christmas. 😆 It runs me over every year. Our snow melted, but more is currently falling. It's very peaceful. I hope you have some peaceful, quiet days!
Wow you did Everest base camp?? The views are incredible, the misty mountains in Tengboche look enchanting. You had a decent room for this remote place. Did sherpas carry your luggage? We had yaks when I did treck around Kailas 👍41
Hi, yes, went all the way to Everest Base Camp! Exciting that you have trekked in the Himalayas too! We didn't have Sherpa people, but we did have Nepali people who were our porters. There were three of us so we had 2 porters. Whew, that is a lot of work for them to carry our clothes and supplies. I loved the views- we had great weather with plenty of sunshine to admire the mountains. Big thanks!! Happy Holidays!! - Jen
Hi-ya, Jennifer What's the memorable journey! The guide is very caring and, giving recommendations and such. I wonder if you ever felt strange headache during your hike up. I meant how your body reacted as you preceded to high ground. I am learning something I have ever experienced in my life in your film Beyond extraordinary.
Isn’t this an amazing adventure! To answer your question, I felt a bit tired and slow at times due to the high elevation, but I didn’t have headaches that people sometimes get from elevation and the thinner air. I did a couple things to get ready like hiking in Utah at high elevation of 10,000’ to 12,000’ for a few weeks. That helped me learn what it feels like and helped me let my body adjust. But that doesn’t last, it goes away in a couple weeks. I also started running, usually 3 times a week and got up to 3 miles each time. I think those things plus drinking lots of water and not gaining too much elevation each day helped. 😉😄👌 It makes me smile that you’re interested, and so supportive, thanks!! 🤗😁💕💕💕

It was an amazing journey,i have watched on tv..I enjoyed a lot 🤗♥️💕💕💕💕
💕💕💕 Big thank you! I’m so happy to hear from you! Have a wonderful day! 😄☀️🏔️
Very nice. I agree it’s Kind of hard crossing that swinging bridge with so many people on it. 😁
Yikes!,😳 😁
So amazing! What an adventure! The views are really starting to open up! That Tibetan Monastery was so awesome! What an experience!
Wow, amazing sharing, very joyful 👌🏻💕💕💕
Good morning, thank you! I really enjoyed my visit to Nepal! Thanks my friend! 😄🤗🏔️🏔️🏔️
Never ending, stunning views along this section. More villages and even another suspension bridge. What a great trip Jennifer!
😉❤️🏔️🇳🇵
Breathtaking views from hotel wowww 🗻🗻💙🤩
I really enjoy this adventure😢😢 so amazing nature
Great Jennifer 🤩💙🙏🏾
Awesome, thanks Martha!! Wasn't that amazing to see so many peaks from the hotel patio! Thanks for watching and saying hello! Happy Sunday!! :)
Paisajes y vistas maravillosas hacia las grandes cumbres. Allí se disfruta cada minuto de la vida 😀👍.
Gracias! Many thanks my friend! 🇳🇵❤️🇳🇵❤️
Thanks! 🙌🙌🇳🇵🇳🇵
Amazing video my friend, have a wonderful day ❤🎄💐💐💐

Wasn't that fun when we reached Steve- I told him later that I recorded the call and he's making a cameo appearance in the video!! lol. My friend Sri was paying for roaming and had signal- so we gave it a try- that was amazing. Yep, Top of the World!! Big thanks, Jen!!

The views are spectacular, what an amazing experience! I'm outta breath just thinking about the elevation!
@@DyanEsoap Lol- yes, the elevation gain is probably the biggest factor in this trek. Adding in a couple days and taking our time made it easier!! Thanks 🙌🙌👌🇳🇵❤️
You're making us want to go do this. 😂 There are so many pretty views. Love the photo of you and the lady who you bought something from. What a great trek so far! ❤ We're looking forward to the next video! Hotel Everest View was so awesome. 🏔
@@TheWanderingWulfs Hi Rachel- I hope you guys can do this trek! I loved seeing Everest and the other peaks in person. Very inspiring. Plus I loved the small interactions I had with the local Nepali people. I bought a bracelet and water from this woman, she was so happy to visit, so warm and friendly! If you go I’m sure you’ll love it. Can’t promise good weather though - o my, they had 2-3 feet of snow at Base Camp the week before we went. Those trekkers there on those days couldn’t go all the way to EBC. Fortunately we had sunshine!! 👌☀️☀️☀️😄 Jen
A beautiful adventure that will remain in memory forever 🥰 Thank you for sharing 👌🏻
Thanks so much Monika! You’re right, it was very special! Merry Christmas! ☺️🎄🎄🎄
Brilliant capturing of the views. I am slow mo watching one video at a time and enjoying them.
On this day, I didn’t get to see Mt. Everest from any spot because of cloud cover.

What an epic journey, Jen. That is a bucket-list adventure for me for sure. The views of Everest were stunning! I hope you're having a great holiday season!
Thanks Daryl! I hope you can trek to Base Camp too! It truly is worth the effort! We were blessed with sunshine and spectacular views of the Peaks. I learned the names as we were trekking - maybe others already are familiar with them - each one is very special. I can’t believe we were so close to China too! I’d love to go back and explore more. Hope you had a lovely day yesterday - wishing you and your family a very Happy 2025! 😄✨🎆🎆🎆 Jen
What an amazing adventure and hike you had. I have to admit, I'm a little envious. The scenery was breathtaking, with stunning views in every direction. The views from your Everest Base Camp trek is just incredible, quaint villages, the iconic suspension bridge, and those awe-inspiring vistas of Everest and its towering neighbors. It's something you'll carry with you forever, Jennifer. You're standing among some of the highest peaks in the world. Wishing you a fantastic week ahead and a very Merry Christmas.
Hi and big thanks Gasper! You’re so right, it’s a very special experience to see these giants in person, and see what it’s like for the people who call this place home! Just being amongst these Himalayan giants 🏔️🏔️ must of been almost spiritual !

Jen 🏔🏔🏔
@ yes Ama is very technical (way above my pay grade lol 😂 🏔️)I bet it was quite amazing to sit and look (sometimes when hiking we don’t look enough (I don’t at least)) but have great memories of rocks and boots 🥾
But to sit and look at the Himalayas with a coffee ☕️🏔️ oh boi 🙏🏼👌🏻🤠
Best wishes to Steven and your self for the holidays 🎄
@ We could see Ama quite well the next few days- and there was even one brand of bottled water that was Ama Dablam water- (we bought water all along the way.) Super cool, you must be much more familiar with all the other peaks there than I am. I didn’t realize there is at least one other Base Camp trek too. 👌🙌🙌

Gracias mi amigo! Feliz Navidad!
Still here watching. Be safe there
Good morning! How are you? Thank you! These mountains are wonderful! 😄🏔️🇳🇵❤️

Hi, thanks for the great emojis!! 🙌🙌🏔️🏔️
Yeah I think the thinning air would get to me at anything above 10K feet at any pace. The views are outstanding

Hi, thank you! 😄🏔️🏔️🏔️

You were patient enough to wait for the right moment.👍
Thanks for sharing and have a great time,
Werner
Thanks so much Werner!! Yes, I did get a stuffy nose and dry throat, thank goodness I got enough to eat and plenty of water and recovered quickly, thanks!! I loved the views up at the Everest View Hotel- if I could go back I would try to stay there a couple nights!! Crossing the bridge when the cattle were there was too exciting :) lol. Thankfully I wasn't in a rush and could wait to cross, whew!! It's always a pleasure to hear from you. I hope you're enjoying the holidays... Hi Age, it sure is! And we had great weather! 🇳🇵🇳🇵❤️❤️
@@JenniferLupine yeah, you had some pretty bright days out there🌞
Your footage is stunning!
@JenniferLupine Oh my GOSH! It would be terrifying to cross with them!
@ Yep!! They’re pretty calm animals to let pass you on the land sections, but whew, not on those bridges!!
@ How are you? Ready for Christmas? I’m hoping for a few quiet days - it’s been super rainy and windy here, but if it clears up we’ll hopefully get out for a walk. 👌😄 Do you still have snow?

Hi-ya, Jennifer
What's the memorable journey!
The guide is very caring and, giving recommendations and such.
I wonder if you ever felt strange headache during your hike up.
I meant how your body reacted as you preceded to high ground.
I am learning something I have ever experienced in my life in your film
Beyond extraordinary.
I am so sorry Jennifer I have no time to watch your videos as I have to drive from north of Haugesund to Stavanger with my wife as she must to the hospitale there to have raviation on her breasts every day, the little they left after surgery.
