@@SoleilCeline In fact, a couple of days ago they released another still of them at the museum... DANCING.
Yes, amazingly, they got permission to film in the museum, but the museum was so concerned with damage, they didn't let them bring in the standard studio lights. The movie people had to make due with the museum night-time lighting, and I think if anything, this might have added to the effect.

I agree: great cast, great book, amazing trailer! I highly recommend Handsome Devil with Nicholas Galitzine - he’s a great choice for Prince Henry. And Sarah Shahi and Uma Thurman, comon’! 😊. My only fear is -where’s June?!?! 🤔

I so hope you do a reaction to the movie - and soon - as I would love to see it.
This is an alternate universe set in late 2019 and through 2020, after a female, Ellen, not Hillary, won in 2016, and there was no covid. In reality, Texas could flip blue but it would most likely be along with a whole lot of other states at the same time. But then you couldn't have everything hanging on this one state.
The guy who plays Alex said in order to prepare for this role, he watched all of the old tv show The West Wing, along with Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (and classic comedies like Bringing Up Baby, but that was more for the comedic aspect).
Amazon required them to keep it to two hours, and I would think making this a series was way out of the question. So the question becomes if you want some element from the book added, what would you take out?
Everything involved pointed out just how much they loved and respected the book, and of course, included the author to get her input to any required changes. I'm sure what they left out was as painful to them as to the faithful readers. But they also felt that because of the time limitation imposed on them, the love story was first and foremost.
As I learn more about the movie (I'm obviously writing this after having seen it, dozens and dozens of times, literally), there were so many touches they placed there that relate back to the book, even if you have to read it to catch them. Like having Henry drive in in a James Bond type car since they couldn't make a bigger deal out his father having played Bond a few times.

Zahra is the woman you are thinking of. I also remember the scene in the Victoria and Albert Museum. I totally re-read the book prior to the movie and am really looking forward to the adaptation.

Not sure I've seen anyone point this out yet but where is the key to his house Alex wears in the book? I know it's a really small detail but it's mentioned a lot in the book and would've been something easy to include.
OH MY GOSH you’re right!! 😧 aw damn that really sucks if they took that out, that was such a meaningful part of the book. Also it looks like they wrote June’s character out of the story :(
@@SoleilCeline Yeah it sounds like the combined Nora and June. Or at least that's what I've heard from other places. Which makes no sense since it gets rid of the "White House Trio" and the whole storyline line of June and Henry fake dating for a bit so they might have to change that part of how they got outed too. I suppose they could still have Henry give him the ring but it seemed so meaningful in the book when Alex put them next to each other.
