- Marksman 2000 K (silver) is one of the cheapest air gun or air pistol ever in the 4.5mm or .177 Caliber type. The spring powered air pistol can shoot steel BBs or pellets but the velocity is only about 125-175 fps on the chronograph, really like a joke. For the price, you better get a Umarex XBG today and it's Co2 powered with accuracy and power. This video is an HONEST review of the gun, trying to be nice but I really wanna scream the F out of it. Variant of this gun is the marksman 1010, 2000 or 2000k. They are about the same, crappy, weak and inaccurate.

rob kuhnke My dad just found one like that at my Grandmas house. Took a little while to figure out how it works, but I plan to test it in the backyard tomorrow. It'll be nice to have a BB pistol that doesn't require CO2 like the other one he found.
I picked up a Beeman p17 it is one accurate pistol and doesn't require co2. It is $40.00 and is a copy of the Weihrauch hw40 but made in China. The p17 shoots like a dream.

i have 2 of these from the early 90s got them at canadian tire in the lawrence sqaure mall when they used to sell bb guns one chrome full metal and one black full metal blk 20$ chrome 30$ as a kit with bbs and darts yes weak but no where near as weak as the new ones
My first bb gun was a Marksman 2000 k, the "safety" he's referring to is Actually just the release mechanism to "cock" the pistol. The actual safety is located on the grip at the same level as the bottom of the trigger guard. I used to shoot it at leaves on trees off of my grandmother's community gazebo with mine, and I could hit the leaf I was aiming for from about 15 feet. granted I was about 8yo. and that was 13 years ago. if I were to get another(My mother Took Mine away some years ago... and lost it.) given approx. 5-10 minutes of practice, I'm confident I could hit a mini Soda can at about 25 feet, and more than likely even further than that!

This was a great review... I have the Full Metal Marksman Repeater.... Sometimes when i push the lever back in to load the gun, it drop multiple bbs.. i put the bbs in the hole above the pellet hole but 2 or 3 fall out when i push the lever
my father has the 1010 one... all metal, looks really nice and scares the shit out of people, besides it feels nice and works for shooting targets and have fun with kids. so don't expect to hunt with it...
I have had this pistol for a year I've gotten use to the way it shoots and aims I use what I got and get use to it

This thing only goes 20 feet. I’m trying to make it shoot faster. If I succeed I’ll post a video on it
The one I had back in the early '90's was all metal, and it would shoot about 50 feet. But only accurate to about 15 feet. Still much better than the one he is showing in the video. It was still junk, though, and I threw it away after about a year.
I have one of the all metal versions and it is powerful. I was interested in the kit with darts, pellets etc But have changed my mind due to it being mostly plastic. Can't imagine it will last very long if cocking mechanism requires same pressure as the all metal version.
+Patricia Alonso the all metal version is not powerful either, it's crappy, and the same shit inside. It's called the marksman 1010 and I had that before, same kinda thing, bad accuracy, bad power. You need to handle some good airguns in order to know this is crap. Even just any average Co2 pistol is better than this thing....
As underpowered as these pistols are they are still quite fun
The one I used to have, was mostly metal, except for the cocking mechanism, the trigger, the "safety" mentioned in this video, as well as the real safety in my above comment, and the loading area. It held up for over 13 years, so I wouldn't be too suprised if a all plastic one has the same or very similar pressure. The real question though, is whether or not the plastic is of the same quality.

pump that oil in there to get more power, if you are daring you can stretch the spring out and get a good boot of power out of that little sucker!!!
spray some silicon oil on the spring for extra power.
Try stretching the spring! Did that about 20 years ago, the BBs stuck into concrete lol, bloody hard to load though!
I got one that sucks on power. Just took it apart. Might try this....worth a shot.

that's literally impossible with this gun. you couldn't even dent a soda can at point blank range. you must be talking about a different gun.

ps idk about the new ones but i know the old one in order to cock it back you release the slide catch then pull it back witch is very hard then push it in the way hes doing it witch still works but not as powerfull is just pushing it in without cocking it back 1st mine goes through cans and glass easy

Thanks for sharing. Now I know how to load and handle it. Got in 2006, thought was real, called the Sheriff, he came and cleared it and, It's a BB Gun, I can keep it. Used for protection with best Dirty Harry talk I can remember. 😎 Now I can at least load it with BBs🤗
Any gun should be good from three feet away. So your saying it doesn't aim good? I had one year's ago it sucked I was just hoping they made it better by now. Does it indeed shoot pellets?

This was my first ever pellet gun but i used darts in it it is low powered crap cheap and when i was 10 it was literally the best most powerfull sexyest gun ever for me at the time lol i wouldn't mind one and a gat gun just for nostalgic reasons
learn how to hold the gun to load it right and it will work every time, I should know mines forty two years old and it works fine

Co2 is more powerful for sure. Airsoft shoot plastic 6mm BBs and airguns (air pistol) shoot steel and lead ammo such as lead pellets or steel BBs and are NOT for shooting at people cuz they can kill.

Did you use a torch on the spring to weaken it? 125-175 fps? I've had mine for 12 years purchased it used at a yard sale; I don't know the exact fps. I do know that 20 feet from the dart board i use as target, pellets go through it, bb's get buried approx. 2/3 of the way. And hard to aim, not accurate? Maybe because you are Canadian you don't understand aiming hand guns. So Thanx for taking your time to do nothing but trash a decent little BB gun, and give inaccurate information. It was entertaining however, like watch a drunk janitor explain the cosmos or anything that he knew nothing about when sober.

That thing is a piece of junk! Lol I had one of those 25 years ago. It came with some BB's and five darts, and targets. It shot the darts so weakly that they wouldn't even stick in the target, they just bounced off! So I threw it away and bought a CO2 BB pistol, MUCH better and actually fun to shoot, and I still have it

You say it is 125 - 175 fps but I do not understand how it is possible to have peaks as uneven? that makes a margin of more than 45 fps wtf ??? 125 fps for the lead pellets and 175 fps for the steel bbs ??? Anyway it is true that this gun is really disappointing overall you're right, I own the 1010c and the first thing I found is its total inaccuracy, it's a real joke. But for the power level I'm not sure it's the weakest because I own a Daisy powerline 340 and I find that it is weaker than the Marksman 1010, but much more accurate and range efficient that 1010 because the barrel is a lot longer probably 4 inches minimum while the Marksman 1010 has only 2.5 inches which is a real joke for a smooth barrel. Anyway I would be very curious to know the actual velocity of Daisy powerline 340. I was wondering if you could tell me more about this model? Do you trying it?

This is not a powerful air pistol. My 15 year old gun is just as weak as your new one, you can literally see the pellet in flight. The only pro that I can see is that it can be safely shot indoors.

you need to learn how to handle a gun correctly. Even an air pistol
Any airguns are safe to shoot indoors if you got a properly setup range and trap, but this gun is really weak!
People used to shoot .22 cb lr and mach fire arms indoors they called them parlour pistols and air pistols in my opinion are the moder version my air rifles are definitely to much for indoors but pistols are fine with a good backstop use lead free pellets indoors tho lead poisoning is no joke
