One game that I will never forget. Why? Because it was the game that marked a turn around in Andrew Cole's fortunes at Manchester United. From there on in, he became a man transformed. Another interesting fact: The match took place a few weeks before Marcus Rashford was born.

I think the best team lost that season and it was literally lost by half a point as Arsenal had worse goal difference than ManUtd and only finished 1 point ahead because they got 2 lucky wins by 1 goal against ManUtd who had Keane injured all season. ManUtd were also robbed at Highbury in 1 of those head-to-head games. ManUtd 97/98 still scored 5 more & conceded 7 less than Arsenal 97/98 but also scored & conceded the exact same as Arsenal's invincible team 2003/04 (73 scored 26 conceded). ManUtd showed this was a lucky title win for Arsenal by winning the next 3 in a row (4 of the next 5 from 1998/99 to 2002/03) including the treble the following season.
@@scherben8870But the loser doesn't necessarily deserve to lose in those circumstances either so the point made was valid. Arsenal think they should've won the double when ManUtd won the treble more convincingly than Arsenal had won the previous season's double. I recall Arsenal also thought they were the best team in 2002/03 when ManUtd won again. All of these seasons including when Arsenal nicked 97/98 ManUtd were in ChampionsLeague for a long time and Arsenal weren't as much if at all.
And we have done it again
They did it again to them in the EFL cup
came here at full time ha ha
Thank you so much for the wonderful clips!

No such thing as a 'lucky title win'. You win it, you deserve it.
