My Japanese Akita, Hachi, doesn't like slippery laminate floors. Instead of walking on them he lies on his stomach and "swim crawls" to get across the floor. 😂
Definitely a big dog thing. My grandparents’ old Great Pyrenees stopped going in their house cause they got hardwood. He eventually slipped and hurt himself bad on the slippery deck.... 🙁

Don't let him pull the leash too much. When he pulls, you stop and wait until he calms down. Then it's up to you in which direction you want to go and he eventually learns that you are leading the route.
My puppy is the same too, but he's okay with us touching his front paws, back paws are sometimes. And my akita only barks when there's visitors he likes greeting them. Akitas are beautiful and amazing 🐕🐶

Das schlimme daran ist, dass da drinnen so viele Rosinen sind (die sind sehr giftig für Hunde).Aber erstaunlicher weise ging es ihm danach so gut wie immer, auch noch Wochen später.Dann haben wir gegoogelt und es gibt wohl Hunde, die das vertragen (kommt nichts auf die Rasse an, sondern auf den Hund selbst).

Did you give him cooked chicken with bone? Please don’t! It can seriously harm him! Cooked bones are extremely dangerous... just give him raw! It’s easier to eat, digest, the nutrients are all there and it’s not dangerous. Beautiful akita.
We know that 😉 He usually eats raw chicken. Yuki has a raw meat diet since puppy age. We already removed the bone in the video. There was only cartilage left which Yuki really likes.
I would like to have an Akita Dog. But I can't afford the price of it. Also it is very rear to find here in California. Just for a puppy they are selling it from $ 2.000 and up.

Introduce your dog to other dogs as soon as you can. Akitas can be stubborn sometimes but it's only temporary and can be avoided by being a consistent and patient leader from the beginning. Good luck!

Their joints simply wobble around too much ( because they can’t get a gripping connection with the floor surface) Our Japanese Akita Family member, Thor, avoids all slippery floors like the plague! The ideal weight for a male Japanese Akita is between 30~40 kg. Yuki is currently 4 years old and weighs 36 kg. Your Akita is fine!
