I've watched hundreds of hours of Peterson, read most of the words he's put down that I could get my hands on. (I stumbled a bit half way through Maps of Meaning. But I'll get back to it.) I've seen him talk live and wish I could have met him.
But this 12 minutes MIGHT be the most valuable (to me) block of conversation I've ever seen.

Faceing the truth for my last 11years and decideing loud and proud ALL the time without any expectations of the outcome made my life as exciting as it is. Authenticity and the guidance of the objective truth rules my life. Meanwhile it gives me a feeling that I'm sort of a "deffender of reality" in earthly existance. I find it challenging, but more purposefull then acting out of my own will and drive.

  • @Vishfeast

The biggest thing you can do in life is admit when things aren't going right, either from choices or choices of others, it's important to understand that:
1)Bring it to the attention to others family, friends, and authorities. You can be held down on purpose without even understanding there is another way. We are hardwired not to want conflict and therefore we will shy away from boundaries that are pried on you. For your own good!
    2) Sometimes, we have yet to understand if we are unsettled on a uncomforting reality that one may feel along their journey. It's on you to always correct your choices before they hit a point, where it's a bigger hole, to get yourself back on track. You should not limit yourself in exploration, but also know when your exploration hits a snag, don't keep sinking deeper, adjust and go into the direction that makes you feel aligned for yourself and for others. Not an ever ending of holding each other down, blaming, and wishing harm.

@nancywalker1325 Value in management is placed on becoming emotionally detached from those they are tasked with managing. Management has evolved with an emphasis on putting the product before the people. Good managers listen to those under their management. Great managers listen and take action to promote both product and the people under their management collectively. I am, of course, speaking of my own interpretation due to my subjective experiences in poor management.

An opportunity to appear on a platform with Piers' reach is obviously extremely rare, but unless the person is daring enough to risk their livelihood to capitalize on it, I think most people would choose to stay in their lane. And that's the whole genesis of cancel culture. People are reluctant to stick their necks out because they're afraid of being individually targeted, even if their conscience tells them otherwise. The potential threat of the mob is too daunting for most people.
