TA so bad yes only showers are clean but Toilets are dirty and broken
Also pilot gives 4 point and 5 point each gallon also many rewards and more shower credit but RA only give 1 shower
In New Mexico and Texas I gotta agree they aren't to clean but in the Midwest and east coast they are nice. I also like that ta keeps the lit clean. Pilot has so much trash everywhere
Throughout my short driving OTR career (2 years) I've mostly showered in Pilot/FJ, I've used some loves and maybe once a TA. Don't want to sound like a Fanboy but Pitlot/FJ isn't as bad as you described it.
Most PFJ are tile floors, depends on location and states and workers, some are cleaner than others, you've got to take into account the Volume that PFJ handles when it comes to shower VS TA. Loves just takes forever because the Cashier has to clean showers as well, they don't have a dedicated person to do that Like at PFJ and maybe at TAs.
At PFJ I've never had an issue using the same shower for my wife and I, although I prefer separate showers (I like my privacy and silence and a little time away from each other doesn't hurt) but you ask for a "Team Shower" and they give you 2 showers for the price of 1.. So no you're not spending $24 per showers since they're comped, even if you were to buy them it'd just be $12 for 2 showers.
You also get offered extra towels by the workers, if not you can ask them and they'd give them to you so that's the same there.
When it comes to the point system, I didn't know much about the TA but I think Love's has got to have the best around. When you hit Diamond level you get 3x points, the downside of loves is that their parking lots are usually smaller and the showers take forever to get cleaned and aren't that great as PFJ and TA/petros.
At the end of the day most of us drivers don't have a choice of where to stop, it all depends on the company and who they have a contract with. I'm glad you guys enjoy TAs and Petros. I dislike them a bit because of their overpriced food at their restaurants. Their fast food restaurants charge more than what it normally costs.. So I don't like that.
I'm glad they all compete with one another and hopefully there will be new brands that come to play also.

k3iler05 thanks for all your feed back. This is just my opinion and based off our experience. I definitely take a step back and take all of what you said into consideration. I can't speak for the men's bathroom but I know the women's bathroom at the Pilot are disgusting. I won't go into details in my comment about it. Just trust me.... I have been driving 10 years and used 1,000s of bath across the whole United States. I've convinced down all of this experience and for my opinion. I will be making a video comparing cleanliness of bathrooms and food station areas. And those videos will speak for themselves not based off my opinions or preference. So stay tuned and thanks coming along for the adventure.
We do not eat at the restaurant or the food at truck stops. So I honestly can't give an opinion on that. I cook all of our food
Some are....some aren't. The one in Loredo is THE worst. The one in Edinburgh TX is the cleanest.

Old Man I love trucking! 30 years is a lonnngg time! Trucks just aren't made for someone my size so after 10 years it's really hard on my body.

Fin fact most don't know but they hold church every Sunday and have a chaplen at most locations daily. They also advocate against trafficking.
Their cleaning people are the sweetest as well always asking if we need more towels or upgrade us to the large shower when possible.

Love's is great I've only see one dirty shower and they remedied that right away. (An employee marked it cleaned when it wasn't). After 999 gallons of fuel in a month you get unlimited showers including teams and unlimited coffee and fountain drink refills for the whole next month. I drive flatbed and sometimes take 2 showers a day because there free. 20,000 gallons of fuel is a lot for free coffee! Love's points also add up quick. Their points are based off your fuel for the last 30 days. Up to 499 gallons = 1 pt/gal, 500-999 gallons = 2 pt/gal, 1000-1499 = 3 pt/gal, 1500 and up = 4 pt/gal. Plus a point for every $ spent in the store. In addition you can have your Love's card set up to start the pump when fueling.

Yeah thats crazy that they basically make you wait till 20k gallons just to start getting decent points and showers.
I have had free showers and refills for like 5 months now.
Like you I pull doubles and always find the most ample parking at TA, my only problem with them, they use some kind of filter on their fountain drinks that make them taste like chlorine, I have no need for showers and fuel. We stay in motels and fuel at the terminals. YRC
Hmmm I have to honestly say I have never bought a fountain drink from TA. FedEx offers shower and fuel at the hub as well. We aren't required to fuel at the hub so we take advantage of the amazing showers at TA. It make our bathroom at home so under par lol be safe put on those big roads full of crazies! Many Blessings
my husband and i use Loves all the time we have never have had a promblem. we have also used Flying j and Pilot we dont perfer them but we have and with their showers i dont know who told you guys you cant take showers together but they lied to you we have taken showers together every time we have had to use Pilot or Flying j

Love's offers different teirs that multiply your cash earned. Gold, platinum and diamond. If you fill up 1500 gallons in a month you qualify as diamond status which earns you 4x points for each gallon. That's much better than the 1 for 1 that other truck stops offer.

I’ve been driving for three years and have only had one problem with pilot I’ve never had a problem with loves for clean bathrooms and showers when I told pilot my shower wasn’t clean they sent someone to clean and gave me 10,000 points for it
Most of the newer truck stop have clean, tiled showers. Even some of the newer AMBest have nice showers. The worst bathrooms / showers are some of older franchised Flying Js. I always have shower credits available for each of them.
Loves and Pilot often have promotions where you get more than 1 point per gallon. I think Pilot has the best coffee. The franchises can be hit or miss.
I prefer Petro for the food. The Iron Skillet is the best of the chain eateries.

I’ve bought beer with the loves rewards before.
I only fuel at Loves. I get Diamond status every month. I get unlimited drink refills and unlimited showers. Also get 4x points, also my wife went out with me they didn’t care if we went in together they even made sure we had 2 towels.
How does point redeeming work? Our company contracts with Loves and PFJ, but i go to pilot more often, they mention the point redemption more than Loves, but whichever gets me easily redeemable bucks sooner, works for me.
Same but my company just switched us away from loves and im pissed cause im so comfortable with loves and happen to always be around the same loves for showers and its 95% clean and point system is easy and great. Diamond every month free showers coffee and food.
When I get coffee I usually get it overnight when they are more fresher.

And if the coffee isn't fresh usually if you ask the cashier to make a fresh pot they will. I work for pilot and we always tell the customers if it isn't fresh enough we will make some for you. Truckers are one of the reason PFJ makes the kind of money it does. We give as many towels you ask for with no questions asked. We do have maintenance and housekeeping at all the PFJ stores and there is never a wait unless the showers are full or we run out of towels. At my store we are trained to roll out the red carpet for our customers. That include cleaning restrooms every 15 to 30 minutes. A lot of the drivers doesn't have to pay for coffee whether they use their rewards or not. So Thanks to all PFJ customers and visitors.

Loves are a little cleaner and is our backup truck stop.
I have been driving for over 25 years and TA/Petro is the best one out there.

TA/Petro even though you can get Platinum and Max gear for a max of 5 points to a gallon! The Don't tell you the Max calendar year limit of is 10,000 points even though it requires 20,000 gallons to get a platinum card you would only get credit for half of the fuel points! Pilot and Loves don't have max points. Most Reward Points = Love's at 4 to a gallon or 4 pt to a dollar in store purchases).
If there are any question on the limitation of points and like TA you can only buy fuel twice in a 24hr day and 3 shop purchases in day look in the Official club rules!
We have a platinum card and it works great for us. Go to the truck stop that works for you. Be safe

TA might have better service, but it's because they don't get as much fuel traffic like Pilot and Loves. I'm Diamond status every month at Loves and believe me, 4 points a gallon ads up fast. Lol.
I save my points for things I'll use over time like Bluetooth headsets, GPS's, atlases, things for the truck. I never buy junk food or candy and snacks with my points.
We love the TA for so many reasons. What made us switch at first was the cleanliness. The women's bathroom would always be so gross at every where but TA including menstrual blood on the toilet no thanks! And the smelllllll! I just leave it at that lol I'd gather pop a squat before dealing with that weekly.
Once we switched knowing the have a Chaplin amd church service is encouraging. They also big supporters of truckers against trafficking.
We to us points to buy things. We just got a new headset. I have brought boots as well. It is a really nice peak
I'm not supposed to buy 'Merican fuel. It's a Canadian tax thing. But I top up enough to get free showers. FlyingJ. I got all them cards, just in case. Some TAs have a cover fee to park overnight, so I've been boycotting TA.
Most truck stops now have a VIP parking section that you must pay to park in those spots but they also have free parking. I don't agree with making a driver pay for a spot either. For me its about having clean bathrooms and showers. I have found TA is the cleanest.
@@SimpleLivin I used to work at a TA and was unable to earn a decent living because of the low volume of repair work, promotions and various internal problems with the location. Perhaps other locations have better management.
I can't stand to drink any truck stop coffee as it is poor quality. I make my coffee using an Aeropress Coffee Maker. Fresh coffee every time. Easy to make and clean up afterwards. I buy great quality coffee beans and make it per the instructions. I also like using Love's as they give 4 points per gallon after 1500 purchased the previous month. I am an OTR team driver and go coast to coast each week so , accumulating gallons is easy for me. Love's is almost always clean.

Andy Barrett what’s an aeropress? Sounds like I would like that. The only coffee I drink it’s pilots fresh grind. It’s fresh and so far tastes the best but I don’t like buying coffee every day. Too exp.
@@samlopez7179 you can view one on RUclips. Can be purchased through Amazon or from Bed Bath and Beyond for about $25. I have one I leave in the truck and one at home. Been using it for about a year. I don't use my drip coffee maker at home anymore.

I dislike TA and Petro for the same reason you dislike pilot/ flying J. However... For the most part I use Loves... Points after you reach diamond are 4:1. Free refills and showers are unlimited. Even give showers to drivers who are fixing to have to pay for showers when I can. After all... We are all out here together... We help each other out.

At pilot/flying j it's 3 points per gallon, not one. At Love's, I get 3 points per gallon and unlimited showers and free drinks. They are both far superior to TA, which I never use. As fast as team showers go, they all give teams 2 for one showers, extra towels if you ask, and ive never had grounds in my coffee. All your information was incorrect.
All my information is based off my/our personal experience... no need to be snooty. Go where you PERSONALLY like and we'll go we personally like.
you got to be kid'n me right ,,,,, T/A is far from the best, never have i seen a extra towel in the shower, showers are small compared to Loves, some are crappy , missing tiles, leaking faucets, had one shower at Barstow that smelled sulfuric,, try turning on the fan in a shower at the TA Express at White Hills, AZ good luck with that also no stool to set your luggage on or for you to set on,, plastic shower floors, and when you call customer service,, i haven't seen any improvement as of yet,,, you may want to rethink your statement,,,,

@@SimpleLivin write every trucker gets a noise canceling microphone especially the kind that ties in with the cellphone the field phones are not good at counting noise so that the truck was used with the aircraft out of use a little interface that you tie in with your smartphone or iPhone and another interface when you stick a camera in it or just simply use an extra iPhone with an interface that will kill background noise called noise cancelling microphone invested one the pilots do

@@SimpleLivin hi...can you share with me what go pro and mics you use, I drive for a fairly large carrier and get several bad trailers previous drivers drop off due to lazy, or inexperience what to look for....plan to put together a video on what drivers like myself have to endure due to them dropping off bad trailers. @@jerrysimpier6146 I have the go pro 6 plus most of the attachments.. selfie stick, Flexible tripod, suction cup tripod and many more. The mic is a Lapel mic but I'm starting to have trouble with it. The sound is messed up and will not play in the right ear bud when viewing the video... ugh so I will be getting a new one!

Trucker Mj good to know! I'll give that coffee a try. The bigger reason I don't like p/fj is because of the cleanliness. The bathrooms are typically disgusting! I'd rather hit a ramp then deal with it and waste my time. Lol

TA are you serious TA is by far the most disgusting truckstop in America. Everyone go to Loves like the coffee shouldn’t be the deciding factor Teays are disgusting. They have horrible customer service like their bathrooms are disgusting like their stalls have gaps in between them so you can literally see someone walking and look dead at you while you’re taking a crap no to TA yes to loves.
