- Trucker talk!! Did you know truck drivers have their own language? Well some of you probably do... When you say 10-4... A good buddy... But do you really know what you're saying or what they're trying to say? We're going to teach some of the basics.
We also talk about a very serious but sad reality in trucking. Human trafficking and prostitution that takes place at rest areas and truck stops. Truckers are the eyes and ears of the highways and byways across the United States. If you see something you're not quite sure of go ahead and report it you might just save someone's life.

Almost 40 years on the road. Just talk plain English.
The good buddy thing is a straight forward hold over from the 70's. It has never meant gay unless you specifically insinuate the phrase that way. Freaks can and do hijack any thing. With that said I never use it because it isn't plain English and nobody on the road is my Buddy. Simply fellow travelers.
Just because you pick up a C.B. mic doesn't mean you have to talk Southern or say stupid stuff. In fact your objective should be to Communicate Effectively. Plain English.
I do Appreciate your comments on Human Trafficking. That is Incredibly Important that we keep our eyes open. We are the only chance of helping those Victims.

We understand what your saying and where you are coming from. We both used to driver for a company that would do day runs. Offen we would run in 3-6 truck convoys so for us we ran with good friends that became like family.
We arent trying to make fun of anyone or sound uneducated. Just a fun video to try to help drivers that are newer to the industry but also touch on a very serious subject. Many blessing sir
I hope I wasn't too Blunt in my comments. Besides driving a few million miles. Ive also Spent 15 Years in Search and Rescue and the Sheriffs Department S.O.P. was for everyone to talk as straight forward and simply as possible to avoid any Confusion. The Sheriff's dispatchers and Deputies even Stoped Using Most 10 Codes. I am also a licensed Ham. This is also another Segment of Radio that stresses being straight forward and to the point. Hams use codes like QSL, WX or 73 for brevity.
So this is some of my radio influences. Or "Baggage" if you like.
I know C.B. is supposed to be a Fun medium as well as a Work and Safety tool. Though my Personal Preferences are keep the language simple and more on the Professional side. That's one Man's Opinion and worth what you paid for it.
You Two did a Good and Fun video. I Wish I Enjoyed Trucking like I used to. Or as much as you two seem to. So Please Forgive the old stick in the mud for Sucking the Fun Out of CB and your Video. Hey! This is what happens to some of us after 40 years of Driving!

Thank you for helping make a difference in the world. Even though we have fun in this video and many others safety is always our #1 topic. With that said we also try to allow people to see the truth and reality in trucking so in some videos we dont have a seatbelt on. Because that's truth. We run teams and run hard. Many weeks 120hrs and 6500 miles. Comfort and mental health is important.
I understand where you are coming from. Not a stick in the mud either. Scott at times is so tired of trucking. We want to help keep the roots of trucking alive and the cb is one things going way side. Stay safe in all you do. May God bless you.
I use to drive when the kids were older my wife started driving with me she would talk on the cb and it would drive those guys crazy we had a lot of fun with it.. also when parked at the truck stop she would go in to use the bathroom and I would listen to those guys talk about her walking across the lot it was funny 😂😂😂

Truckers are the eyes and ears of the highways.... makes me terrible mad when other youtubers film and post videos mocking girls at the truck stops. The are most likey trapped in human trafficking. Terrible sad

Asking someone to make a hole for the meat wagon can also be used as a pick up line that works 0/10 times.

I’m not a truck driver although I used to work on the road , and I’m not sure if this is trucker slang or general radio slang but One of my favorites to use when parting company with a friend or partner, or going out of com range

Simple Livin here's a type of tractor trailer that you didn't mention in your video the type of tractor trailer that I'm talking about is a (Thermos bottle) tanker trailer .

I've been looking into videos and saw a video that said something about lot lizards...I thought it was some new drug. 😅 Trafficking is real. When i worked in the ob/gyn office we had a girl come in with a guy...she was be Trafficked. The first visit Something was off. The second visit she came in with another woman who we knew was an addict and prostitute. The midwife who was seeing her called it in. I know there was a bust of Trafficking later on. I pray she is OK. She looked really young then the age the guy gave.

"Bootje tou"...mostly used by the NVO drivers(company from the northern part of holland, specialized in Scandinavia routes)
Bootje tou, means going northbound toward the ferry port to catch the ferry to sweden, unless your up there, then of course it means the same going southbound.

A toll booth is a booth you travel through to pay a fee to drive on a higher quality road. Typically these sections of road are nicer amd save you time in travel.
