I am so excited for ATS to return to the channel! Make sure your friends know it's back and here to stay, if this video does well we will continue our journey!
Real world trucker here, and I held off for 8 years on playing ATS. I drive OTR and trucking is my life. I will actually hit 1 million miles some time this summer. The idea of playing a video game of the job you just worked for 14 hours did NOT seem appealing at all. I had enough friends talk me into finally playing it lately, and I hate that it took me so long to give it a try! It's definitely not perfect, but it's actually FAR more realistic and pleasing than I thought it would be. Already have about 30 hours in the game and have 3 trucks and 2 other drivers on the road. I'm hooked! A really great detail that I found (it might be from the realistic company mod)... I'm from Sacramento, California and we have a very unique large truck stop North of the city called Sacramento 49er. I found that if you fast travel to Sacramento, it dumps you off at 49er and it's actually modeled EXACTLY how it is in real life. I was actually quite shocked!
I drove for 15 years and would park and jump in the bunk and play ATS and ETS/ETS 2, the allure for me is being able to shut it off and go wherever I want with no risk
The developers have redone the maps several times and keep updating them. One of the big updates was adding realistic truck stops, both chains like Loves and the more famous independent ones. It is entirely likely that the 49 is vanilla. A bit of a penance on their part possibly for all the "truck stops" that used to be the standard in the game that are nothing but a straight up gas station. I know you've seen them already, heh. They have improved the visuals greatly over the years.
@@danielhomant2832 that's something that I really appreciate! I know when it first launched they had the standard gas stations and it was quite laughable then. I'm finding little nuggets here and there that makes me really appreciate the level of detail they've put into this.
oh that reminds me of the truck stop with the Iron Skillet in Corning! My family really liked eating there and we'd go out of our way to drive an hour or two from home to eat out there. I'd get the truck stop's saltwater taffy as a treat, too. Seeing it 1 for 1 in game was just... amazing. I just felt a lot of joy and excitement at it. I agree that stuff like that really makes the game just great. Even for someone like me who had no interests in trucks before this. Now we just need them to finish reworking the last half of California, and rework Nevada and Arizona (AZ being a disappointment to me since that was one half of my childhood alongside northern Cali.)
I just started this game last night. Ran 2 missions, attempted the "where do you want it" difficulty for parking and was humbled by my lack of experience with trailers lmao. Very fun game
At 29:28 the exit on the right. I was on my way home one day and there was tons of traffic as usual leaving KC KS, there were cops sitting under the bridge using radar guns and kept flagging people. There were like 6 cops sitting on that on ramp ready to pull over speeders ! I always hated driving that way!
My professor told us in college that toll roads are a thing because the state doesn't have the funding for the road, but a company then is allowed to build the road but is paid back for making the road by having the toll for x amount of years after completion of project.
I had to rewind part of it once just to verify that the interchange you took to turn toward Wichita is just a few miles my house! That was really weird to watch you driving a game right by my house😂
So as an owner operator trucker myself, I will say these trip payouts are slightly inflated lol. I make about 4500-5000 when I go coast to coast. Not 150 miles lol
There is a realistic economy mod but most people don't want to play a video game for an actual year before they can afford the cheapest used Freightshaker on the market without taking out a loan they will never pay off for as long as they play the game. It's a time thing mostly
and I think the realistic economy also transfers over to the gas prices which, yeah, it becomes a grind to even make it the 150 miles from point A to point B in that case
That's very interesting. How long does it take you to go from coast to coast? Also, do you have the opportunity to make 4500 one way, and then come back with a load 4500 the other way? How does that work?
I’m really hoping that we get Maryland, which is where I’m from. My dad works at a produce market that does wholesale as well and I remember him having to drive a truck like these to Jessup and sometimes into Pennsylvania to get some produce, and every once in a while he would take me with him. That would be cool to be able to do.
Nebraska is coming next if i’m not mistaken, and i’m excited for that because I grew up there. I’m hoping for Wisconsin to come sometime soon, I cannot wait. But I did a drive through Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming and through Utah 2 years ago, and I hope to be able to do it in the game!
would be so nice to one day have all the continental USA available one day, but it does make me wonder how well the smaller states will translate at this scale models. Wouldn't be too far between cities etc.
I have a feeling that the East Coast for the most part may only ever be partially represented in the vanilla game with no mods... Most truckers loathe the idea of trucking East Coast in real life because the traffic is so bad and the roads are too. And yes, its congested so you're probably correct, it would be just short runs back and forth between cities that are very close to one another
Its actually sometimes fairly difficult to make money trucking unless you run dump wagons or skateboards locally on the East Coast in real life because of all the traffic congestion. Ask any trucker that has done I-85 through the Carolinas in the past twenty years. Its a one lane parking lot from 5AM-11PM 🤣
As someone who literally takes that exit everyday for work and works at a warehouse right near that facility, I can say it is pretty accurate and amazing to see
Really hope we get canada soon really enjoy your channel and when u and your dad records he reminds me of the way my dad was and sounds like my grandpa did
Something cool they should implement into the game is weather events. Like thunderstorms that have a percent chance of becoming tornados. That would be really cool Especially in the middle of fields.
i think this is a cool idea but i think you should add rules to it such as get a 2nd garage and fully upgrade the starting garage and the 2nd one buy a truck and fully upgrade it
ive still got the original copy of 18 wheels of steel and it has not been opened but the only thing that has been done is the rapping it came in. any way I'm 22 and my mom and dad have had that game before me when they had windows 2000 operating lol I kinda feel old lol.
Wait until you reach the point I did with GTA games and realize you have been playing a game series off and on in some form or another for nearly 30 of the 40 years you have been alive
Its Nebraska, then Arkansas then Missouri. If they do 2/year then we are planned for the first DLC of 2025. I cant see how it will take them that long on MO seeing its pretty small. But to each their own.
Asked for more ats like a week ago in an old video and here we are. Appreciate that good sir easily the most relaxing and relatable game to watch when I'm to lazy to play myself
I’m sure someone has said this but being from Wichita it’s driving me crazy. Salina is pronounced Sal-eye-na. Love your vids and don’t mean any disrespect
Awesome video dude but i would love to hear the truck and more sounds beside the commentary. Awesome video nonetheless just tryna make it better. Cheers.
I am so excited for ATS to return to the channel! Make sure your friends know it's back and here to stay, if this video does well we will continue our journey!
Finally ATS finally came back to the channel yay
Me too bro. Keep uploading ATS!
SCS is trying to head towards Chicago, Illinois to complete Route 66. And reach towards Iowa, Minnesota, N & S Dakotas.
You shouldve got a international ive been in one irl and out pulled volvo on a hill with a oversized and he had produce
Man I am so glad its back! I love ats! And btw SJT for the win!

Homie gets off work to pretend work at home. 😂
No, but this is a pretty wholesome tale. Power to the development of ATS.

Really enjoying the farming billion dollar run, looking forward to another relaxing series in American truck sim
More to come!
The Used Truck Dealers is part of both Ats and Ets2, it was introduced in the 1.49 update!
When buying one for yourself and especially for the employees, ensure none of the percentages are ≥20%!

Yes and then corruption takes over and the road that was supposed to be paid off 10 years ago is still collecting tolls for “maintenance”
I bought my first truck in ATS brand new and never used. It was a Western Star 49X Sleeper. Best d*mn truck I’ve ever owned.
I had to rewind part of it once just to verify that the interchange you took to turn toward Wichita is just a few miles my house! That was really weird to watch you driving a game right by my house😂
I'm glad your on ATS again. It's because of you I'm part of SJT. Just remember to keep the dirty side dirty and the shiny side shiny. Great video
Cant wait for Indiana, Ohio and West Va
I live in Ohio so I would love this
So as an owner operator trucker myself, I will say these trip payouts are slightly inflated lol. I make about 4500-5000 when I go coast to coast. Not 150 miles lol
They are indeed lol there’s a mod to make it more realistic though.

@@2shy2guy52 I agree. When they add the mid atlantic region is when ill get the game
They are working their way towards Chicago. I think Nebraska, Arkansas, and Missouri. I have a long ways to wait as I am in Saskatchewan, Canada 😅
My hometown is Wichita, so the beginning was really cool to see! Also just a heads up, Salina is pronounced Suh-line-uh! Love the content
They so badly need where you can unload or load your trailer! Now that’s immersive
3:37 - No, Nebraska will be the next state we'll get. THEN we get Arkansas and Missouri after that.
I currently have about 400 million dollars in ATS. I’ve been playing on the same profile since I first started playing back in Jan or Feb of 2022.
Papa pickle should start a RUclips channel
When is harvesting the whole map and the billionaire series coming back?
On the way! Sorry for the wait :)

Used trucks is not a mod it's part of the game content.
Awesome video earned a well deserved sub, hop to see you reach 1m ❤
I really hope they add Michigan soon. And I really hope that they include Battle Creek and Kalamazoo.
The used trucks are in the base game now as well.
As someone who literally takes that exit everyday for work and works at a warehouse right near that facility, I can say it is pretty accurate and amazing to see
It's missing some things but definitely interesting to see how they depict Wichita lol
Really hope we get canada soon really enjoy your channel and when u and your dad records he reminds me of the way my dad was and sounds like my grandpa did
Talk to Jeff Favignano about his ATS setup. He has the shifter, blinker, and custom truck control panel.
Super relaxing thanks. I loved 18 wheels of steel so much.
Something cool they should implement into the game is weather events. Like thunderstorms that have a percent chance of becoming tornados. That would be really cool Especially in the middle of fields.
That would be cool. Random events in general in this game would be cool, especially with weather, NPCs and traffic events
i think this is a cool idea but i think you should add rules to it such as get a 2nd garage and fully upgrade the starting garage and the 2nd one buy a truck and fully upgrade it
2:59 almost a Swift moment right there XD
I can’t wait to play it to especially when my home state is added, Alabama which it’s gonna be a while
How did you get your HUD like that
did you find out?
Yes!! This is gonna be a fun series
Yes, you have to keep the cool camper. Great video brother.
For those wondering, The used trucks menu is actually not a mod, it is kust an update.
Neat that your home state is coming up. New Hampshire or Vermont isn't probably coming until 2030.
ive still got the original copy of 18 wheels of steel and it has not been opened but the only thing that has been done is the rapping it came in. any way I'm 22 and my mom and dad have had that game before me when they had windows 2000 operating lol I kinda feel old lol.

0:20 - It was 1:34 PM. 4:15 PM was the ETA.
It is a good day when pickle posts a video
I really don't understand how 6:50 is funny. "Speed limit is there to keep you alive." Hilarious.
FINALLY BACK WITH THE ATS :D
Yes, your dad should start trucking in american truck simultor, and if he likes it, he should start a channel
My dad is a trucker in real life here in the uk that was a experience 😂
After watching, I tried the safety features. Lane assist drove me into a roadsign within 10 minutes. So, yeah, just like real life.
5 on the diesel, 20 on the scratcher!
I wish this was on PS5 and it was multiplayer
Would absolutely love to see your dad do some ATS.
pre owned truck dealers is a actual feature in the game now
No clue which 18 wheeler game it was but dang I miss them.
I am so very excited for this series
Man we waiting for the billion on farm Sim for sure hoping for at least 1 more solar pannel soon
Its Nebraska, then Arkansas then Missouri. If they do 2/year then we are planned for the first DLC of 2025. I cant see how it will take them that long on MO seeing its pretty small. But to each their own.
Definitely get your dad involved x
Love your channel
How do you put the map on the top of your screen?
A cargo ship simulator game; a cruise ship simulator game; an evs simulator game; a fedex simulator game.
As a fellow Iowan i also hope they do it well
The AI went crazy on that thumb nail. 😂 10/10
Big man pickle amazing work but can u please rid of the bars on the top and the bottom back to fullscreen plz lots of love ❤❤

15:17
Nvm yall, he's too kind to critters
I actually found your channel recently through your dad's channel lol thepapapickle
Speaking of Kansas tollways. I-35 through Wichita is a tollway. I-35 is a Federal Highway so how can Wichita put a toll on a Federal Highway.
Asked for more ats like a week ago in an old video and here we are. Appreciate that good sir easily the most relaxing and relatable game to watch when I'm to lazy to play myself
More to come!
how come we can not ask for mods?
is it cause some r private or does it make u annoyed?
Good work on your vids man keep it up
I just installed it again and I am getting good at it thanks for everything
Thank you🎉
I like that International.
that would be cool if your dad came on
They should make a Australian one
Holyyyy cow i just saw a sign with my home town on it. It said South Highway 75 《 Yates center
Definitely need full screen
Hi
Spider? I have a dog for that. 😂
The used trucks option is NOT a mod.
Used truck dealers are in the game by default now
The ultrawide is unmatched on my Samsung! Never had a RUclips video properly fit my screen before
Hey pickle, whats the mod you have for the map display up top?
29:45 SOME POO CAME OUT
Bro that thumbnail 🔥
Was the time spent on the drive real time or was it sorter in real life?
Ultra wide fits my screen so I’m happy
This is the best truck video
Heads up - you are forced to pay for every road.
Your dad should definitely play
Check out "ThePapaPickle" you can find the link on the bottom of my channel page!
I WANT NEW ROAD TO 1 BILLION IN FARMING SIM NOW
Yes please, been waiting anxiously for that series to continue
@LazerSims literally not.
@LazerSims hasn’t been an episode in 2 weeks bud
The day ATS gets Illinois, ill buy the gamd
My home state is Iowa as well
How did you get the gps to look like that?
Could the possible add snow effect soon for the northern states
I’m sure someone has said this but being from Wichita it’s driving me crazy. Salina is pronounced Sal-eye-na. Love your vids and don’t mean any disrespect
Lets get the full screen
If a load take 5 hrs in the game is that also real time ?
It’s always weird hearing RUclipsrs say they’re from my state.
Awesome video dude but i would love to hear the truck and more sounds beside the commentary.
Awesome video nonetheless just tryna make it better. Cheers.
Love your vids
Oh nice
Any good trucking sims on Xbox one?
