I was there with my daughter (10 years old she was) and it was the best moment in our life. We had the luck to have "platinum Tickets"!!!
Incredible to see the legend for 1 1/2 hours so near. The day after we travelled back to Vienna. All the journey was just for seeing our great idol.
We will never forget this time.

It was pretty much you got introduced, photo & move along. So generally speaking you do not get long one on one.
That kid is smart by telling sly only from you to sign not by you to me , his has earned a small nest egg now , smart move.

To think this all came form a guy who at one time decades ago sat in a box room flat and wrote long hand a script that would create one've the greatest characters ever. Goes to show, if you have an idea make your moves, and keep punchin!

I know Glen Folan and have seen his work in person, we speak a few times whenever he's commissioned to do stuff for an event in my town, hes a good man with great artistic talents, so i gotta say fair play to the man for still producing good work and getting them auctioned off for charity etc
Sly said something interesting. Why we'd never have films today with big stars. Like we did back in the 70's and 80's....(and I guess 90's). Too expensive? Was that what he was implying? Unless they took pay-cuts. Which stars have had to do for bigger stars to be in the film. Keanu Did it twice so they could have Pacino. And then again for which film I don't recall. But he was willing just to do the film. Not too many stars like that in the business.
So, how did they manage The Expendables? Did every one sign on working for cheap? I mean most stars are at a point where htey no longer need the money. They've made more than enough for several lifetimes.
I mean REALLY what is the point??? :) Sly with his near 500M fortune. Dolph is doing ok at 40M or so.. Dont know how much Willis is worth. Jet Li is worth about 450M USD as is Jackie Chan (wasn't asked). Everyone's comfortable.
I wonder how much tey got though...to do The Expendables. Curious. Measly 2M each? :)
Any one wonder WHAT IF that day Sly wasn't called back as he was leaving some audition so the right people could see the script for ROCKY? Wed never have any of Sly's films. Good ones and the bad bones. He wouldn't have been part of Hollywood. We'd only have Arnold, Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis, Clint Eastwood.... Luck and good timing. Sly could have already been out the door and down the street. .Funny how life works out.

Sly you will always be Rocky! I was a student at the Philadelphia College of pharmacy and science when you were making that fabulous film ‘Rocky’! Months later at Pat’ Steaks, where I was lucky enough to see you when u were filming at Pat’s and the Philadelphia Art museum. , of which I had gone there just about every weekend or weekday because a boyfriend was an artist. But I had the opportunity to see that giant sculpture of you and I truly want to say it did not do you justice, it could’ve been done much better especially the face. So go ahead and hate me, I just thought that sculpture was just not quite up to being Rocky!!! It really didnofavor

He’s one of the reasons why he became an actor. 1st My parents Stallone and JCVD Jim Carrey! I almost met him last year and then he canceled. The day that I’m supposed to meet him I had the biggest call back audition of my life!!! It’s crazy How life works out. I would’ve definitely been my big break I didn’t get the role I auditioned 6X Hopefully the third movie!
