Thanks Seth! The studio version has drum fills overdubbed while Jeff’s steady groove keeps going. In this video I’m fusing those fills (interpreted differently) while trying to keep the feel going. I adapted my pattern also to incorporate what the percussionist does in the back ground. During the opening, the groove also has those percussion accents built in and they continue through the entire song.
There is no way to replicate exactly what Jeff was and this video fuses both his approach and Simon Phillips (my two biggest influences). Thanks watching and for your comment.
